I did. But I was playing the game, then saved and quit to install the update. I'm wondering if maybe something went wrong there. I've backed up my save and deleted the game from my Ps4 and am going to try with a fresh install.
 
TDM tip: don't move much after you spawn. There's a 100% chance someone will spawn in your vicinity in a few seconds. I started a match 16-0 by doing this last night, lol

I was on the fence too until I tried the beta. I'm having more fun with the new modes, Heist and Hotwire the most than the usual Conquest. For me CQ, just doesnt have that Battlefield feel, so I'm avoiding that for now. If I want some CQ action, then I'll fire up BF4.

The new modes though, they are lots of fun.

Depending on the map you can just move back from wherever you spawned so you're right at the edge of being out of bounds. Nobody will spawn behind you but entire squads will start spawning in front. So cheap lol.
 
Never mind about the Battle Packs. I didn't realize you have to manually install them and thought it was done automatically after redeeming the codes.
 
So no place to get a decent deal on this right now?

My poor canadian wallet is getting smacked up by the exchange rate so I've gotta save however I can :(

Damn, the numbers got quite a boost from this morning, I suspect closer to 70k for the XB1 and PS4 tonight when more people get home from work and/or finish downloading the game.
 
This thing has been installing for the last 6 hours. What the fuck? I got a 100 Mb/s connection. The first download came in under an hour and now I've been waiting for the rest to install.

Anything to make it got faster?
 
So first impressions from this game.... fun fun fun!

Only played Conquest Large, and have enjoyed it a lot. The netcode feels really good.

Not too sure how much longevity it has, but for now it's very enjoyable.

Its not a typical PS4 download where it installs part if the game then in the system level it manages the rest of the download.





PLUS, the episodes download in one chunk. The progress for all of them is the same. Download the 2 minute prologue and wait around. So dumb.

Good that it will have sustainable community. I thought it will be much less.
 
Rescue is the best mode IMO. Very tense, and the maps are pretty balanced from what I can tell. Of course, I haven't played enough to see if they are legit balanced. Reminds of of playing CS.

Yeah. I'm gonna wait until at least tomorrow morning to get my key. If not then I'm gonna ask for a refund as well. So much for emailing the keys on day one. I'm starting to think the guy just ran out since some guys in this thread got a key.

You’ll have to play through Episode 1 again before you can access Episode 2 in the full game, even if you previously completed it during the EA Access trial.

Select “Restart Episode" in order to replay Episode 1 to keep your unlocks instead of "Restart Campaign" which will erase everything.
 
Wow TDM is 64 players...

It's so fucking funny on The Block. Easy kills if you just corner camp somewhere and wait for doritos to pop up near you on the mini map.

Now I wanna spend some time with Heist and Blood Money before going back to Hotwire.

Yeah looks like people are starting to report fraud and claims on Paypal and Ebay

Before this it looked like he had a good track record. A guy in this thread said he actually bought a game from him before.

There's always a risk with this stuff. But I'm still gonna hold out and play the waiting game until tomorrow morning. Then I'll do the claim/fraud stuff with Ebay and Paypal.

Yeah I'll give him until tomorrow afternoon before I do a chargeback since I only paid half of retail price. Really you shouldnt sell 400+ keys if you cant handle the demand.
 
Well I'm really enjoy this!!

I played a few hours last night although Hotwire was the only mode with a decent player count on the AU servers which was all good anyway as Hotwire is the fastest way to rank up and earn cash and it's a heap of fun.

I was surprised at just how good the netcode was last night too, hit detection was spot on. Can't wait for the servers to fill up cause I'm having a great deal of fun.

And that ACWR is a beast and has absolutely no recoil, it's great when you're hanging out vehicle windows :)
 
Been playing the single player and up to episode 6/7 now. I'm really enjoying it tbh and and whilst I know it's not saying very much it's easily my favourite campaign out of the Battlefield games. It's easily much better than BF3 and 4 and even the Bad Company games, though I do love the humour from the first BC.

It's as cliche as they come storywise but it's a fun enough cops and robbers story and I like how it's gradually going more Bad Boys 2 as it goes along lol.

I've managed to make my way through the levels with killing some folk and arresting a lot of others. I just tend to mix it up but I could see you being able to arrest most folk if you wanted too. What I do like is how it doesn't go over the top with respawning enemies etc, it usually gives you a number of folk in an area and you can choose how to take them out.

The only thing that doesn't really make sense though from a story/mechanics perspective is

After the twist, and you escape from jail, the arrest mechanic doesn't really make sense. You're not a cop anymore and you should just be knocking people out if you don't want to kill them. Not arrest them with cuffs

Aside from that it's been a fun ride so far, not mindblowing but I'm having a blast with it until I can properly get stuck into the multiplayer on friday :)
 
Lets everybody just pretend for a minute that I'm a complete moron. I have had an Origin account for years now which I've only used for PC. Now I have the PS4 version of Hardline. When I try to sign in, it tells me to log into Origin and that this account will be shared across platforms. But when I enter my Origin username it says it's already in use. Yes, that's because that's me. I see no button prompt for those already with an account - the game just seems to want me to make a new one. Well I refuse.

Who says consoles are more user friendly than PC. HAH.

Help me, GAF.
 
So initial impressions are decent. Played the first two episodes just to get use to the controls again and warm up. Seems like it should be a fun campaign from what I've played, I'll play it some more later, however I mainly bought it for the multiplayer. Just played conquest so far, typical BF it seems, going to try some of the other modes to see how it plays out.

As for performance it runs great. Ultra w/ 4x msaa, no problem keeping above 60 fps. That being said, the game does look worse than BF4. It's not a bad looking game by any means, but it's nothing special either. Also no issue with servers or crashes. Definitely glad I purchased it and look forward to playing some more.

1) Did you ever log in via the PS3?
2) If the answer to 1 is yes, are you using the same PSN account on your PS4?
 
Preordered Deluxe Edition online from Best Buy in July because GCU made it cheaper than the standard edition would've cost me elsewhere not even counting the $10 reward certificate offer. Arrived this afternoon...sort of. They sent me the standard edition instead. Now the waiting game to get this corrected. Was looking forward to digging into the game today too...
