Only timed exclusive? Wasn't this published by Microsoft?

I think its the equivalent to something like Braid or Limbo. It's getting a "slot" from MS, since this was before self publishing. Not publishing on the same scale as Dead Rising 3 and Sunset Overdrive for example

(think Zombie U)

How can i think Zombie U when I (or rather, the majority of people) have never played it?? Is there a better comparison??

On topic: Can't wait to try this out!
on ps4
I like capy's style and especially their music. Sword and Sworcery and even their levels in Sound Shapes were pretty great.

Well they seem to be comparing it to the permadeath feature of Zombie U, so maybe think Rogue Legacy? Or any Roguelike?

Even with self publishing, I'm sure Ms will publish some indie games on some sort of timed exclusive deal. They actually kinda announced that when they announced the partnership with Unity.

I loved Sword & Sworcery, and this looks cool. But I'm having trouble even seeing what's going on.

I wish everything wasn't so tiny.

THIS! This is the one thing that make me very worried that this otherwise tailor made game for me will turn out to be unplayable. You can barely see your character!

I really don't understand why this game can't allow you to zoom in a bit more, assuming that the final product doesn't allow for this and is stuck in the very zoomed out view.

I can see how the scale and current camera can help greatly to create an oppressing atmosphere (being a small guy in a big dangerous world), but being able to actually see the animations and the avatar you control is essential as well. I mean, not everyone has a very big tv or wants to ruins his/her eyes by sitting very close to it.

Oh well, hopefully the camera view in the initial trailer is just to set the mood...

Edit: and no, my eyesight is fine by the way, I just like to see things a bit more up-close to take in the details etc.

Sorry, that was my comparison actually. Yeah, think Rogue Legacy or any roguelike out there. They never mentioned Zombi U in the article :D

I will add some clarifications in the OP.

"You are small, you are weak" - the deadly enigma of Below on Xbox One

"Below lies what, exactly?" is the question Capybara wants you to ask, again and again, of its timed Xbox One exclusive, though that's not a question the Toronto, Canada-based developer seems prepared to answer. Not knowing is, after all, Below's key hook - it's a game that deprives you of solid ground, in which players burrow endlessly for a resolution that may only ever take the form of grisly death care of nebulous, Lovecraftian terrors.
