Best theme park water rides

I've come to love almost any log flume/water coaster ride I've come across when going to theme parks. The special themes, the anticipation to the big free-fall drop, getting soaked, and seeing the reaction photos taken during the ride make for a good time. What are your guys favorites?

1. Dudley Do-Right's Ripsaw Falls (Universal Studios)

2. Splash Mountain (Walt Disney World)

3. Journey to Atlantis (Sea World)

the picture for the coal cracker at hersheypark is not the coal cracker at hersheypark. just thought i'd let you know. i grew up in hershey.

I dont know the name of this one but i think it used to be Raging Rapids at Six Flags. Are you going to get spun into the waterfall? Who knows!

I've done your top 4 and love 'em all, even though the older I get the less I want to get really wet and then walk miles and miles around a theme park. I need to go back to Universal between my love of all things Jurassic Park and my memory that Ripsaw Falls was crazy.

no worries. i'm curious how the coal cracker is number five on your list. it doesn't have any of the great theming that the top four do. in fact, it's a pretty boring ride with lousy scenery lmao.

It was definitely a nostalgia choice at riding it a young age. There's definitely better-themed rides out there for most people's list though.

Oh Splash Mountain. I have fond memories of doing that ride about 4 times a week last year in early spring. That one time my friends and I somehow timed it perfectly so we were able to see a bit of the Wishes fireworks before the drops was a great night.

Splash Mountain is the GOAT.

This is actually at several theme parks. I used to go on this over and over again at Great America during Middle School summers.

Splash Mountain is a great ride. First of all, it's long, a solid 10 minutes or so. It has great music, tells a solid story, has great atmosphere, gives you the single best view of Disney World as well. But, also you don't get soaked... You get wet but not soaked. And it has the one big drop, but also 2 nice drops that build up well. The whole ride is a masterpiece of building up to the "The drop" even though it's not THAT thrilling of a drop, it's just very well done like every ride at Disney.

Pirates of the Caribbean?

Pirates deserves some credit too not only for having incredible atmosphere that seemingly only Disney can deliver, but also for getting you out of the sun for the entire line and the entire ride.
