I've said this before and I'll say it again: No need for Faulconer when you could get one of his right hand men to do it. Scott Morgan! Seems like him and the rest of the other arrangers hate faulconer for screwing them over. Check out his original DBZ sounding stuff.

i'd rather have a faulconer score than the forgettable garbage that is the dragon ball super score

Awesome to hear. Funimation does pretty good by Dragon Ball these days.

Hope the Goku Black voice is improved from Xenoverse. Character deserves better.

There's no convincing some people...

At least I don't see people on here clamoring for a return to the horrors of the 4Kids One Piece dub. I've seen them on YouTube. I die inside.

the funi z score is both better and more memorable than the super score

in the sea of butt rock that is the faulconer score, at least you get the odd gems like the ssj3 goku song, the vegeta theme, the final flash theme... super has nothing.

These all manage to be inspired by Faulconer's sound, but worse than the corresponding Faulconer themes.

I don't even need Bruce back, and can do without the synth/glue tracks (which are mostly trash), but there are like 4-5 tracks from Faulconer which stomp on any other version of the score. I honestly wouldn't mind a mix-and-match with some remastering - kind of like what TFS is doing on Abridged.

Not going to happen, but a man can hope.

Super was far more visually consistent in its earlier episodes. Art and animation, from the beginning of an episode to the end, maintained a higher baseline standard I'd say.

Super's recent episodes have spots of good art/animation and a lot of trash art/animation.

There's definitely some variation in quality, but the best animation in this series has been in the last arc and the worst was early.

There's a reason people are, by-in-large, less annoyed with animation lately. That's because we've seen some genuinely good stuff in the last 15 episodes or so, especially in the larger scale fights.

Fucking hyped! I've been trying my hardest to avoid this show until the dub came out, still got spoiled but I'm not one to really care, just excited to finally see this.

Super's animation hits it's lowest point in the Freeza retelling. I think it's just better to skip that saga altogether and watch the movie version.

The Super BOG saga at least actually had some pretty decent fighting in it and good slice of life episodes.

I've grown fond of and gotten used to the Japanese dub by now, but I wouldn't mind a Latin American dub, Castañeda's Goku is his only good work.

Only the first two episodes were exceptional from what I remember. Overall, it definitely wasn't much better than how it is now. It's just that all the in-between downtime episodes always look the best for some reason.

Which is odd, because I'm fairly confident that Toriyama kept trying to build up Gohan as a replacement for Goku — which was suppose to occur at some point in the Buu saga but the fans demanded it stay as Goku. (Which may explain why the heartfelt goodbye between Goku and Gohan suddenly meant nothing a few episodes later)

I used to think so to, but it's actually far more consistent with his character to not be a fighter

Wow these sound pretty good. Wish there was a way to get both kinds of soundtracks: One Faulconer-like and one with the original score. It'd be interesting to hear.
