Bioware forums, yeah...

Literally the only thing of value this thread has taught me is that Merril is voiced by Gwen Cooper from Torchwood. Now if you'll excuse me I have a date with a bottle of bleach.

on the subject of me1 -> me2 changes, how do you feel about emails and fetch quests involving you to walk from one end of a tiny "town" area to another while talking to people

Mass Effect 2 was one of the only games ever I went on a total blackout for. No media coverage, no trailers, no news, nothing.

It was one of the only games in the last 4 or so years I bought on launch day at full price.

Putting in that disc, I was hyped as fuck. The opening sequence left my member capable of poking the moon. What expansive locales awaited to be explored? I wonder how much the Citadel area will be enlarged? What facsinating planets will I get to explore through every nook and cranny? I can't wait to see what they've done with the interface! When will I get Wrex back on my team? Hell, am I gonna get a whole new form of transport or are they gonna stick with the Mako?

..........................................yeah.

Though this also means that the people who were legitimately looking for this are now redirected here! D:

Next junior class will be quite interesting, I can tell you that much.

Post a bit on the Bioware forums, but only when I'm actively playing a Bioware game (once or twice a year, that is). I didn't delve too deep into the creepy fan threads, but when I did, I came away amused.

David Gaider responded to one of my threads, once, which was cool. His reponse was a poor answer to my question, but still cool.

Victory in defeat. or maybe the other way around, I don't know what to think any more...

You'll enjoy it here then. Quite a few developers post on GAF and if you don't like their answer you can tell them what you think without having to worry that a forum ban will prevent you from playing games you own. I even got to tease Greg Zeschuk about Sonic Chronicles, it was quite a cathartic moment.

Damn, that google search (without the quotation marks) also yielded that:
For Cortana it was a dream come true.

For Noble Six it was an honor.

For the scoundrels inside Haven… it just hurt a damn lot.

With Chief on board, the thousand men strong army, which included some of the best Krogan Battlemasters and Asari Commandos money could buy, had met their match. To put it bluntly they were being treated like some warm up exercise, their numbers dwindling exponentially with each passing second. It was the result of a double edge sword of tactical precision and brute force. As far as Cerberus was concerned, rescuing the Chief was already paying off dividends. A good investment to say the least.

"We no run! We have numbers!" A vorcha Blood Pack hunter tried in desperation to rally his troops, most of them high tailing it out of the room in defiance. "Do not run brothers! Argh!" its shriek pierced.
It's like the best of both worlds.
not the star trek episode

Hah, looking forward to it.

Yeah, I always go "oh cool" when I learn of another dev who posts on GAF. Most recently I found out one of the producers from Star Trek Online posts here when he popped in the OT to thank us for our comments.

I only expected puns/one-liners like this from TV Prime Time and CSI Miami.

It's like Tali fans are trying to out creep the My Little Pony fans
Looks like the Mass Effect fans are already doing better. I mean, didn't you see the ME porn that one guy posted? And it's been done before in other ME threads here. So far there has been no MLP porn posted in the MLP threads.

i'm not getting anything when i search for the 'turian slave' pic

i'm assuming this is future me travelling back in time and stopping google from letting me see it

The comic about being infatuated with one of the ponies was pretty bad, but in general I can't really argue with this.

It seems Sonic Passion has some competition.

They've had competition since the first one.

Yeah, I don't get the romance either. I find her to be a shitty character.

>>ME1 choices->ME2<<

Like MCGrammar said: LOL.

You don't get Wrex back because Bioware's "canon" is he died at Space Redneck's hands because ME's community is fucking stupid and can't do a five minute sidequest. :|

Also enjoy 2 minute mentions of everything else!

>>Reaction images to Google post<<

:lol Oh, GAF.

TOR is going to have a frightening userbase. The combination of Star Wars geeks, Bioware creeps, and MMO nerds will together make the game ground zero of unsettling antisocial behavior.

They are missing only the furries.

Though maybe they can angle for that market with a Wookie romance.

Canceling my pre-order now despite almost everyone who's played it saying nothing but positive things.

That's incorrect. There are no cannon Bioware choices even though people keep saying it. They were choosing the path of least resistance for new players.

Due to this thread I decided to do a check of the forums again.

[This is about Mass Effect 3]

We did some tests earlier on with destruction pieces, but couldn't really get the performance within spec... so not really (sadly).

I will say though, that it was pretty cool to be able to throw a guy into a pillar and see him leave a crack in the wall... and see the pieces collapse and fall on top of his body. Or to be able to use a singularity under a scaffolding that guys were running across and see it get torn apart along with the enemies... lots of fun... but too costly. >_<
And people say we don't need new consoles. : (

But we can do that stuff on current consoles. Red Faction has awesome destruction.

It's doing it while also having everything else running like the giant environments, your team, new AI behaviors, and a whole lot of enemies at once.

This is why Red Faction 4 took place in a tunnel, so they could do more other things.

Yeah, it never ceases to amaze me how many here on a hardcore gaming site wish for this gen to go on even longer.

Sometimes it gets lonely always looking to the future.....

:'(

Obviously it's too much to ask for Bioware to put that stuff in the PC version.
Obviously

This is something they've been trying to do since the first ME, one of the earlier ME trailers showed some of the environmental destruction off. Would be a pretty neat addition, too bad they can't get it running at a decent framerate.
