Three lives maybe a bit of an exaggeration lol.
It's just my memories of ghosts is getting shot from seven different directions at all times and getting killed after spawning constantly. I did enjoy it the other night when my friend and I went back to it for a few matches though, so maybe that was early before people had figured out the pathing and flow of the maps.
I will give you hit detection and met code easily though. AW has absolute garbage net code, but I just feel like the map design is much tighter and the Exo movement feels fresh enough that I'm willing to put up with its quirks.
What I find (and this is through my feeling when i play the game) - is that because of how fast the movement is with the jump/dash - the code has a hard time of correctly registering hits. It's already a fast paced game at 60fps - and i feel like the code can't keep up with that.
I like most of the maps on AW and the guns/attachments (and im not into lasers but definitely digging the widow maker). I hope they get rid of the variant system - it's silly. Still waiting for the Bal Obsidian Steed and the AK R.I.P. Do they want me to buy them (lol) in the supply drops?
The perk tier system for AW/BLoPs is below Ghosts (where you can load all the perks from a single tier and not be restricted like BLoPs, AW). This promotes player choice. There have been times in Ghosts where i just run all speed perks and i feel like i'm on a rush.
The streaks in AW are straight garbage - compared to Ghosts, best streak is the UAV. In ghosts I bought the 1.99 wolf skin for Reilly - i use it in so many classes. Specialist streak is awesome as well. Support streak? A little OP but still great.
What happened to the lean mechanic from Ghosts??? That needs to come back - not because i use it but because it helped the not-so-great players. As annoying as it is - I don't fault people for camping and this helps them.
Ghosts gets bashed a lot but it's a good CoD game. These are some of my nits I hope are addressed in the next game.
