I'm guessing in their separation from the Wii branding they are doing away with Mii's and anything related to them.
Hope not. Miis are one of the things I had the most enjoyment with out of the Wii era.

It legitimately seems like most of the online features will be done through the free-to-start smartphone app.No tab for friends list? Or we just can't see it? Love the minimalist style, though
The UI looks nice. Minimalist.

Apparently my steep info was off though... can't win them all.
Nice UI, & it looks like the Miis are sticking around.
is that system settings or brightness cause it looks like a sun.

Not just lack of Miiverse but lack of a browser too.

Are there really features that are only accessible on the companion app? If so what are they doing for people without a phone or for young kids? It looks ok otherwise, I just hope it doesn't take forever to load and switch between apps like the wii U.

There were rumors that 3.2GB of the Switch's 4GB of RAM would go to games while the rest of the 0.8 would be reserved for the OS. If I recall, that's 0.2GB less than what the Wii U reserved for the OS (2GB total, 1 for games & 1 for the OS). Perhaps the decreased allocation is the reason why most of the other stuff is being allocated to smartphone apps.
Lack of everything.
But i'm more worried about this:

This is beyond stupid.
Ah, nice, a clean shot. First button is "Game News." +/- is "Option."

Hoping the three avatars are the users logged into the system. So, what's the deal with the three icons in the top left ? Looks like a friends group. One has a Mario avatar, the other has Link, and the other a picture of her Mii ?
Friends party group PLEASE Nintendo for god's sake

I just preordered it and now, for some reason I've gotten all paranoid that they're gonna treat the Switch like a handheld console. Someone reassure me please, multiple user profiles for a single device.
