Bruce Campbell, the man portraying Ash Williams in the Evil Dead movies and series, has confirmed a new Evil Dead game. According to Campbell, this Evil Dead game is developed for consoles and PC, and will not be a VR title.

Unfortunately, we don’t have any additional details about this Evil Dead game. We don’t know when it will come out, whether it will target a 2019 or a 2020 release, or whether it will come out on current-gen or next-gen platforms.

Our guess is that we are looking at a 2020 release for current-gen systems. On the other hand, the game has not been officially announced yet so this may turn out to be a double-A or a small budget title.

Much like the various comic books. Somewhere deadites get summoned, either someone being stupid with the Necronomicon or some lost page or recording that they find somewhere and thus you end up with a town full of deadites needing the boomstick.

Ash ends up in a Post Apocalyptic Future again, a different one this time, different timeline to Army of Darkness

Would be cool if it played a bit like the Dead Rising Games I think.
