Its the best gun in the whole game.
Beta is consistent about being very inconsistent. Every shot you take is different and maybe does damage... maybe it doesn't. I can kill one guy with pump action to 10m away with OHK, but can't 3 hit kill next one to meter away.
If they follow the PS4 schedule, they'll raise the cap to 34 and unlock Stronghold, Uplink mode, and Reaper tomorrow morning.
Hah yeah, I tried the Razorback out tonight and it's pretty crazy. It's practically got the damage and precision of a middle-weight AR, but with the low recoil, hip-fire, and movement speed of an SMG.

Kuda is much, much better in my opinion. Weevil is really bad though.
I'm trying to install Diablo 3 on XB1, and it keeps failing to update, even when fully installed. It wont let me boot the game at all because of this. I wonder if update servers are down or something?

The maps are so small and bad in my opinion that the whole weapon balance is atrocious. Even if you try not to, you'll noscope more people than you're actually killing while zooming. Shotguns are an obvious joke and the list goes on. Always played played HC so a low ttk surely doesn't bother me, but their approach surely does. Pretty sure I'll pass on this game.

I've been going flawless with it on PC almost every game. Slap a silencer on that baby, hip-fire it, let the kills pour in.

Vespa has a little less range than the Razorback and it shoots so fast ammo doesn't last long, but extended mag makes up for it. With a balls to the wall play-style, you can absolutely wreck.

Hunted is a pretty big map with lots of elevation points and water. Combine is pretty small. They equate to what cod maps have always been as far as size goes.
Amen i wish more used it, so i can collect ammo off their guns

Really loving the movement in this game tbh. Had some doubts when I first saw it but Treyarc just has that magic touch. Not on Titanfalls level but its really good. Its not annoying and janky like AW.
The game feels like what AW should have been IMO.
Probably wont pick it up at launch but sometime down the road I will.

Reading all of these blurry comments...I was expecting the game to be damn near unplayable on X1. Not the case.
Also the X1 controller is so much better for FPS than the DS4. I got to the maximum level in the PS4 beta so I played it quite a bit over there, but it just doesn't feel as good as the X1 in this game. Can't wait for the Elite.

I prefer the Vespa, it's my favorite SMG. Extended mags is an absolute must on it, and you've got to watch out for running out of ammo but for a rusher like me it's just perfect. The best thing about Black Ops III is the fact nearly all weapons are viable, I can pick up any number of them and drop 50 kills with it, this definitely wasn't the case in Advanced Balfare.
I hope they up the level cap tomorrow as I hit it this morning and I want to try out some more stuff, especially Ghost and Dead Silence so I can go full stealth rush mode.

True. I've also put some time in with the Man O War, the first two shotguns, the Sheiva (the semi auto in AW was trash) and the m8 and they're all legit. Snipers are the only weapons I don't do well with, but I've never been a big sniper guy anyway so I can't judge.
I forget, it adds at least 12 though, I'm pretty sure.
Tip: For those of you who say it's blurry on PC, turn the "rendering resolution" option from .85 to 1.00. Otherwise it's rending sub-res regardless of what you set it to output at.
I'm enjoying the game and thankful I got a key. I definitely miss the formula and the general feel of the game, not having bought on for a few years. I like the boosts, and that killstreaks are much more rare than usual. However, after playing the older modern CODs for a long time, I do have a lot of complaints.
First off, as someone who loved W@W, the maps are absolutely tiny. The only map that's an okay size is the waterfall one and that's just barely acceptable (I do like it though). Everything else is just way too small that the spawn algorithm hardly works because of this. You can manipulate and cheat the spawns so badly by watching your teams location. The characters are also faster than ever, especially with overdrive run, it's way too easy to immediately get back to an enemy and kill them from behind. It all feels cheap to do.
I'm not super fond of the powers, they feel kinda unnecessary and make the match more chaotic than it needs to be. I wish they were less offensive and more defensive/passive, like ammo regeneration or something less significant like that.
Shotguns are definitely the best weapons right now. The pacing of the game dictates that they are forcibly superior in most encounters, even on the waterfall map. You can't play too carefully (not camping) or you'll get spawned on from behind. If you try to rush or push, you'll be insta killed by shotguns. It's doable, but it's the hardest it's ever been to be a longer range, cover based player (again, not camping in windows or sitting, but just slower, not sprinting everywhere, and peeking around corners crouched).
Balancing feels weird. I mean, yeah, you can make any gun work but there's clearly some that are better than others.
It's still fun though. I want to play more and wish I had more time to. I'm not sure I'll buy it right away full price but I might down the line.

Im having a better time than i was on the ps4 beta...no lag...only the odd freeze....bring on the open door policy

I've gotta say, I continue to enjoy this far more than I thought I would. It's not perfect -- hit detection's gone bye-bye on me a few times, had some ugly corner deaths, the aim punch is too much, and there seem to be a couple iffy balance points. But honestly, I'm impressed. I thought I was done with COD after getting burned by AW, but this has been a good time. Guess the next step is seeing if it loses its shine over some longer sessions over the weekend.

I'm not really a pc gamer, but decided to try this out on steam. I am absolutely loving it so far, and it has been running very smooth on my rig, although my eyes are probably far less trained to see dips in quality than some of you guys. I played quite a lot of black ops 2 on the Wii U, so I've got my Pro controller hooked up to my PC. I wasn't sure if there would be aim assist or not, but I can confirm that there is still a lot of aim assist just like on console.
Mainly just using ark 7 with sparrow specialist. Can't wait to try the m8.
Hopefully they fix that stupid audio glitch at the end of the matches.

The blurry mud graphics were only evident to me coming straight from the PS4 one, game is still perfectly playable and admittedly if I had only played the Xbox One one I probably wouldn't have even given it a second thought.
The only issue I'm still having with the Xbox One (other than the crashing) is finding a decent game connection. I'm from New Zealand and it really feels like no one else is playing, its all like Scotland and America opponents for me lol.
Where are the other NZ and Aussies?? I'm worried the playerbase will be shitter on proper release Xbox One and I wont be able to find good Demolition games.

I like the game so far, but I am reeeally bad at it. I miss the bots from Titanfall where you at least had something to kill even if all other players are way better than you. Currently I'm lucky if I manage 1-3 kills in a match, all other players are superhuman and I die immediately as soon as one of them happens to be in the area. It doesn't help that you only seem to take like 2 or 3 shots before you bite the dust.

It's very common in COD MP.
Switched to ps4 controller wireless for BO3 and doing a lot better, i have the new xbox controller with the headphone jack, and the PS4 controller is just much better for FPS games for me. Playing with DS4 against kb/m players, usually top 3 in the game, not bad at all. Switched to shotgun and flanking more, using the map to win. Only reason i stopped playing is cause DS4 ran out of juice, damn thing sucks for battery life. Seriously love the performance in this game on pc.

My favorite on ps4 was the first lmg. It felt like it was very good at all ranges and having 80+ bullets in the clip was very useful for when multiple players come at you.

Does everyone on xbox one think they're competing in an mlg event? I've never seen so many kids laying on the floor/headglitching/dropshotting/preaiming in all my time in all the cods on ps4.

Not sure if you all noticed, but there's a vertical bar next to names in lobby, if it covers 3 people those 3 are in party, quite nice
Thankfully not a lot of this stuff going on on PC

Yeah, this has been the consensus from people that have played both the PS4 and X1 betas.
The Xbox One crowd seems extra competitive on COD games.

Welp, call me unimpressed. It's a slowed down AW, and they seem to have removed the RW1 (the big one-bullet pistol from AW). Less movement speed also means that playing shotgun is much less fun and less viable.
I would probably still like it, but AW is already on my disk and looking just as good.
