No way dude. The modern warfare trilogy is much better imo

If you said CoD4... maybe I guess. The whole trilogy though?

Mmmmm.. okay...

Have you seen Destiny's sales on Xbox? It did fantastic. People giving it "negative press" on NeoGaf aren't the average person walking into say, GameStop and buying the game.

Yes, it sold fantastic on Xbox One, but it sold even better on PS4.

A Bungie game selling less on Xbox? The Playstation marketing deal helped a lot in achieving that.

I hope we'll be able to augment specific parts of our bodies. For example, one player could specialize in arm strength and dexterity which would bring about any associated perks and abilities while another player could specialize in leg endurance and speed.

I had the same idea. It'll probably lose the exo suits all together since people are cyborgs now.

The tone reminds me of the live action Deus Ex: HR trailer.

Yeah, that music was like 28 days later to me too.

So basically a 2060 Snowden reveals stuff about technology that the military uses. Could be cool, but sounds like Advanced Warfare to me.

I had hoped they would have gone back in time.

Liked the trailer though

I feel somewhat offended, given that marketing deals are good for business-side discussions, yet it's always framed as fuel for shit like fanboy wars.

You're right, it is interesting from a business perspective. However, given that we've recently had people posting walls of gifs in response to finding out their preferred platform holder got a marketing deal, it's not hard to see why people paint these reactions with a broad brush.

If you're commenting on the nature of the marketing deal in threads like these just make sure you're coming at it from a perspective besides "yassss [insert favorite platform holder here] yasssss"

What about all the negative press it got from Xbox fans? I'm not going to lie and act like I wasn't super butt-hurt about paying the same and receiving less content.

I mean, 1 year exclusive deals? That's absurd... Why should I have to pay the same?

This is the reason why I have never bought CoD DLC. I don't support it.

Lmao. It's like a train-wreck, I can't look away.
You missed out on the weakest strikes in the game that people tend to skip all the time

All you really are missing is hawkmoon, and that's not even guaranteed. You paid the same price and got the same content, ps4 owners just got additional content.

I still have no idea why people care which humongous multi-billion dollar corporation moneyhats advertising rights. As gamers shouldn't we be pushing back on this type of behavior from both sides?

Oh yeah that was my point.

To put it simply

Sony - Won from the marketing deal. Sold a metric ass load of consoles during Destiny launch

Activision - Won from marketing deal. Got cash money from Sony and tons of advertising from them. Destiny sold amazing on PS4, and fantastic on Xbox

People on the internet complaining about said deal - had about zero impact on sales data.

In other words we will see MORE of these marketing deals over the next few years. Certainly not less. The companies involved are making bank, and the vocal minority complaining aren't affecting sales in any large capacity.

Well put together, even if it does get a little too on the nose with the Snowden clone and the 28 Days Later-esque music. Still, its well put together.

Call of Deus Ex?

Black Ops 3: War Has Changed Edition?

Consider my curiosity piqued.

The premise felt a little too close too the Deus Ex that just came out and I doubt CoD will have the cooler world.
Anyway Im still interested and hoping for a visual improvment Compared too AW.
Its still cross-gen tho arent it?

Well then.

Between this and Mad Max, we're starting to venture into the territory of too many awesome games and not enough time or money to know what to do with them all. I'm down for COD: Deus Ex. I hope that's actually where they take it instead of it, though. Treyarch has tons of cool ideas that can get undermined by the... I guess the "dudebro-iness" of the series. I dunno.

Would have helped considering I sold it because of the same content over and over. I would have done a lot for just a strike or two more, no matter how weak they were :/

Oh yeah that was my point.

Forgot to add:

Xbox Gamers: Lost... out on content even though we paid the same.

Well, there's nothing worth commenting about yet (it's not even confirmed, and even if so, execution is more important. One could have a marketing deal and completely treat it like crap like DA:I or Mordor)

Thus my contribution in this thread is just "Call of Deus Ex", because a lame witty one-liner is all I'm worth. :p

It's only on the EU PS Channel. It's not like they haven't upload other COD trailers there, either.

Oh I know just interesting that these PS marketing rumors have been floating around recently(like they do every year) Then out of no where a new trailer appears and it's only on the PS and Call of Duty channels.

Also kinda funny that aside from the AW DLC trailer there has been nothing about Call of Duty on the PS channel since the Ghosts reveal trailer.

All platforms are equal, but some platforms are more equal than others.

Oh yeah, I can't disagree at all. I wish everyone got all DLC at the same time. Its best for the consumer by far. I'm just referring to why this stuff is happening from the business side of things, and isn't going away anytime soon.

Yea seems to have taken notice of the whole aumented human vs. non-augmented.

But the thing that I think people are omitting, is that imagine not using exosuits. The exo abilities are inside you. You have bionic legs so you can run faster, have better zoom vision, you can vault faster, higher. Instead of jumping super high using exo, why not build up speed through sprint, run up a wall, as to not be high up in the air for everyone to shoot?

Imagine being able to pick things up in the game and throw them.

It's not tied to an energy bar on your exo. You are the exo.

Intriguing. I've yet to purchase a Call of Duty game, but I definitely like the futuristic / sci-fi / biomechatronic setting and premise of this game.

Sony co-marketing confirmed?
sonys youtube #confirmed.
Sony is really pushing the exclusive marketing on these games HARD. I guess they want people to at least feel like the games are exclusive.
sony is hyping the reveal on facebook

Lol okay. Just saying, but not everybody is so concerned about that. ;)

(I think guys are reaching by the way. They just uploaded a trailer on their channel, like they do for pretty much the huge majority of PlayStation games..) ;)

I for one am very excited for Call of Deus Ex!
Treyarch has done a great job with the Black Ops series so far and I'm excited to see the full reveal on Sunday.

A majority of the posts in the thread are about the marketing behind the game and not the game itself. :(
Is there anything game related to talk about?

They didn't show anything, and the premise isn't exactly novel. Not that it has to be, but the whole we-built-our-own-downfall thing has been kindof a popular motif for a good while now, so, yeah ...

I love this Deus Ex augmentation and conspiracy stuff. If it translates to the actual game, I may be picking up my first Call of Duty in many years.
