My app crashes pretty much every time I use it.
All people care about is K/D ratio and nothing more.
I've seen far too many people with 2 or 3 K/D ratios. I'll even drop names. SavageFx on 360 is a perfect example of what I'm talking about. He has no problem going 40+ in Domination only to lose by 75 or more.This has been thrown around ever since I can remember. I really doubt it's because people care about their K/D.
Most people have around 1 K/D or less, which is garbage if they care about it. Most people camp because they are bad or really enjoy to play that way.

I was hoping this update (just fired up the PS4 right now... downloading update) was for the spawns, oh well. If they can fix the spawns this game can be GREAT. I already like it MUCH better than Black Ops 2.
We have several improvements in test right now for spawning issues on certain maps/modes. We hope to have them out in the next few patches.

I absolutely love when someone's laying down on the palm tree in chasm. I stand about 1/3rd of the way onto the palm tree the take my time lining up my throwing knife lol.Hands down my favorite thing to do in this game now is when I'm in a game of infected and I'm infected and run into 2+ guys who have cornered themselves is to just keep baiting them to shoot me so that it will alert the rest of the infected to come to where they are and we just start swarming them lol.

Having finished the campaign yesterday, I booted up the multiplayer for the first time.
I haven't played CoD since MW3 , so when I first saw the ... HUUUUGE number of options and customizations, I was taken aback and kinda brainfarted on it all. :/
I enjoy CoD and I will play this game a lot, but can someone give me some tips and tricks in terms of where and what should I develop/do?
I'm not "l33t pro" and I tend to play support roles and objectives modes where the team works for the common goal.

That's a spawn problem. WaW maps were about as big as these maps and they didn't have the problem of just flat out not being able to find people if you were looking for them. Not being able to find people who are hiding is not a problem. Having a sprint class and not being able to find ANYBODY even when you flank around or run straight into firefights IS a problem.
It's funny it's called "spawn logic" because there doesn't seem to be logic applied to the spawns. Well, not good logic anyway. The game should always spawn you in a safe location. If you die in a gunfight or because the opponent has a good position, that's because your skill is lower than their skill. If you die because you spawn and someone is facing your back... well there's nothing you can do about that. You know it's bad when you kill someone and feel sorry for them.
I don't know if I just suck at COD now or something, but it seems to me the SMG's in this game are pure shit. I unload on people and they just turn around and one shot me it seems all the time. I have no clue what happened from MW3 to ghosts, but it seems to me they either nerved SMG's or they buffed AR's so much that now SMG's are pure shit. Or maybe it may be lag comp, I remember it being terrible at launch for MW3, but it eventually got better over time. Anybody else notice these things?
The Vector is by far my best gun.
They do, at least I got one with the PS4 version.
I've avoided SMGs in every IW version. Blops caters to SMGs and BlopsII was especially bad in this regard, so maybe this time around they made SMGs especially shitty.
But I have gotten killed a decent amount by MTAR-X and Vector.

That being said, the SMGs aren't super terrible in this game, but obviously they'll lose hard at AR range or even mid-close range if you don't aim faster than your opponent. I'm a CQC guy so I like the fastest SMG with rapid fire on. I would not recommend an SMG with a silencer only because it's so weak. If you plan on winning any gunfights head to head against a competent opponent, you're better off ditching the silencer.

Obviously ARs are in the middle range-wise (so matchups won't be as lopsided), but in almost every CoD, there are always one (or several) ARs that I feel like I should win a gun fight at least 50% of the time against any gun at any range. The MSBS is one such example in this game. Put me against an equally skilled sniper at far range or a shotgun/SMG at close range and I won't lose more than 50% of the gun fights. Guaranteed.I like the AR focus. They're great all-around guns, but if you want to specialize in CQC or longer range, then you can customize your character and playstyle around that.
It seems balanced to have ARs be effective on most maps.
From close range to far, you have:
Shotguns
SMGs
ARs
Marksman or LMGs
Snipers
That puts ARs right in the middle as well-rounded guns, where I personally feel they should be. Then if you want to further specialize at another range, you begin to lose out on the other end.

I don't mind ARs dominating their range. It's when they make other guns useless that I draw the line. I think WaW's balancing for the ARs was near perfect. Most of the ARs were single shot and not super powerful so they were great at mid range. The auto AR had a pretty slow RoF. Not like the kill machine ARs that are in almost every CoD.
