I agree.
The atmosphere will make or break this game.
I want MOHAA on steroids

Mentions of how it's going to "return to its roots" and have "classic call of duty combat" both seem so vague they're meaningless. It saying it's going to "return to its roots" could mean either it's going back to being designed in a way similarly to the first few games and will have a similar experience, or it could just mean because it has a WW2 setting again. The "classic call of duty combat" could mean either it's going to have combat done in a way similar to the first few games (the "classic" games), or it could mean it in the sense of "It's still the call of duty gameplay you're used to!" I'm really not expecting anything more than the latter - the usual Call of Duty with a WW2 theme stuck ontop, unfortunately. I'm still sort of interested either way just to see what a WW2 game will look like after all this time without any significant ones (Wolfenstein doesn't really count).
Black Ops 3 should have starred the multiplayer specialists in the campaign. They're more interesting characters than anyone in the campaign we got.
I dunno how they'll handle attachments, I know several people who'd love it if that aspect was dropped.
Might be more similar to WaW than the most recent CoDs. I doubt we're gonna see a pick 10 system with all sorts of grips, quick draws, etc.

I think they will go all out and add everything thing they can.Yeah, there will still be attachments but more limited.

Honestly could be another game starring David Mason & Karma or start with David Mason's kid and flashback to David for a plot connection like BO2 did with his father.
And obviously throw in a Reznov hint or 2.
Back to its roots basically means boots on the ground combat and not Jetpacks and wall running, that's all there is to it.
Classic call of duty combat also just means fights on the ground too.
I dunno, it also has to do with how progression is handled.
ThisThere were so many threads that BO and BO2 created that I thought BO3 would have wrapped up.
Alex Masons disappearance after the Panama Invasion.
Menendez telling Secton to study Ulysses if he lived.
Flashback to Operation Charybdis.
Reznov's true fate.
Hell they could have even had a flash back to some events we didn't see from World at War.
Also the braching storylines. I thought this would have become a staple in the franchise but sadly not.
Make a true Black Ops sequel Treyarch.
Call of Duty: Black Ops Tri (again)There were so many threads that BO and BO2 created that I thought BO3 would have wrapped up.

Kar98k iron sights and bayonet. One of my world at war go-to classes.Hope the bolt actions come with the option of iron sights. Loved sniping like that in waw
Sorry if it's been asked but... is there a way to play blops 2
on PS4??
When it's time for the next Treyarch game, i'd really like a site to try to get an honest sit down with them about what the fuck happened with BO3's campaign. BO and BO2 were so damn good in that area. And then comes BO3. It's a campaign so bad that it made me appreciate the campaign in Ghosts. At least it felt like a CoD campaign even though it was heavily flaws in some areas.
Call of Duty: Black Ops Tri (again)
How about this: Call of Duty: Days of Future Past.Call it Black Ops 4 and retcon BO3. Throw in some lines on how the brain machine in BO3 was destroyed before its creation and boom clean slate.

Haha, unfortunately I've only seen up to First Class feel like I'm missing something.
The narrative and cutscenes/loadscrenes were some of the high points for me in World at War. Hopefully Sledgehammer can cultivate some of the darkness Treyarch had with that gem into this new COD game

That's the plot of Days of Future Past; to retcon X-Men 3.
Lol if it works for a movie than it can work for a game.

How are they going to squeeze out 17 different killstreaks. Maybe we will luck out and only get 3-5.
Regardless, bring on this technicolor goodness
It really should be an alternate universe ww2 with jet packs

W@W is underrated.
W@W was originally going to have a decent amount that got cut,
including faction specific streaks.

I like how "boots to the ground" is an advertising line lol.
My biggest worry is that it's just part of the problem.
Maps need to be completely unlike BO3 maps, and it seems hard to expect that when those maps are designed for the whole esports business.
And not just that, but the game NEEDS to feel both slow and fast. You SHOULD be able to play conservatively and slow, and feel the tension of crouching into a building or flanking.
All of that was removed with things like infinite sprint built in, dead silence and extra speed boosts, etc.
BO1 and COD4 map inspiration is my hope

Nah the last good cod black ops 2 was designed for competitive and it's the best game since cod 4. I'm hoping sledgehammer doubles down with the competitive hooks. Competive cod removes all the stupid broken shit for the most part and cod plays best 4v4 in competitive setting.
How Black Ops 2 played was terrible.
Guns killed you instantly, and kill time felt the same with evey single weapon.
It was a downgrade from Black Ops 1 where weapon response, feel and kill time was absolute perfection. It gave you time to react to getting shot and follow up with an approach.
In your opinion which is not the same as his opinion what you sorry for lolBO2 is so much better than BO1 sorry.
The Kamikaze's kill streak was cut, correct?

Black Ops 1 had terrible weapon balance. So many pointless guns.
