Had Amazon assure me TF2 will be 49.96 - 20%, have it in transcript. So I think I'm set in that regard. I hope a bunch of games dip in the next year or so.

I'm trying to understand, PS4 owners who purchase the retail legacy edition of Infinite Warfare will also get to play Modern Warfare early like the digital orders yes?

Is the FFXII discount still acting screwed up?

I got the price to $55.99 but the discount when I total my whole order is not 20%.

Should i contact CSR or will it be fixed later?

Or is the $55.99 price correct and there is no more 20% to be applied to it?

Yes, $55.99 is the discounted price.

"Hello,

We're contacting you about your order xxxxxxxx for Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age - PlayStation 4 Standard Edition. We are writing to inform you that we miscalculated your promotional discount and have updated your preorder price to $55.99."

Anyone else get that e-mail? I've yet to get it

Stuff I preordered (I honestly expect nothing after MH Generations with a 2016 date to actually ship for various reasons):

- Minecraft Wii U
- Monster Hunter Generations
- Trails of Cold Steel II (Vita)
- Corpse Party (3DS)
- Psycho-Pass (Vita)
- SMTIV Apocalypse
- Sonic Boom: Song of Ice and Fire and Knuckles
- Yo-kai Watch 2 (not sure which version I'm keeping, so got both)
- Paper Mario: Color Splash
- Exist Archive (Vita)
- Pokémon Sun/Moon (see YW2)
- Persona 5 (PS3)

14 games in a down year.

Still outstanding from other years: TMS#FE (RIP Futureshop), Zelda Wii U (Best Buy 2014), 2016 GOTY Metroid Prime Federation Force, World of Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest 7/8, Zero Time Dilemma and 7th Dragon: Code VFD.

No email here either.

I wish I could break down and see exactly how much I'll be charged for each individual item, all I see are group discounts for each order. That doesn't exactly help me, when I'm trying to see how much they'll charge me for FFXII specifically. All I see is the current default/listed price. :/

Tokyo Mirage Sessions
SMT Final
Zero Time Dilemma (I should go finish VLR...)
Persona 5
Monster Hunter Generations
TLG (my old preorder got cancelled by accident - I never talked to CS because I assumed I'd just re-order it at E3. Might try and get that figured out again since it'd be cheaper)

Titanfall 2 PC (looks like it never dropped under 80 - will probably cancel it as I can get it for less elsewhere as with a lot of PC games I want)

I threw God of War in there even though I've never liked the series and the reveal just looked like Ryse with Kratos. Just hedging my bets.

and a backup preorder of Zelda in case my old $40 Future Shop one doesn't work out. Already had FF7 remake, FF15 and Horizon from last year.

Do you guys actually buy all of these games you order?! Some massive lists here.

My E3 pickups

Persona 5 + Resident Evil 7

God of War + Horizon

Titanfall 2

I once preordered 13-15 games once and that list didnt finish for almost 2 years. lol

I dont recommend it.

(Preordered 9 this time, but I'm likely canceling half)

Was so disappointed with bestbuy and their points deal. As a rewardzone member for 3 years I haven't once seen my points successfully be posted to my account. Thus went with amazon:

Battlefield 1
Spider Man PS4
The Last Guardian
God of War
Persona 5
Mass Effect
Horizon: Zero Dawn
Death Stranding
Forza Horizon 3
Final Fantasy XV
Kingdom Hearts 3

Wish more games were part of that amazon $30 off sale that would have been fantastic.

I contacted Amazon about the FFXII price not adjusting and about the 20% off being borked, they basically said they would send me an explanation email within 24 hours.

I already had contacted them 3 days ago about the borked 20% and had told me I'd hear back within 24 hours at the time, and I didn't... which is why I recontacted them today.

This is a headache. I might just cancel my whole order.

Amazon just got back to me about my inquiry yesterday, they took 20% off WoFF for me and brought it to $47.99 (since the 20% was still showing on the page when I contact them.) Though I never directly said which game it was that was missing the 20% on my order mind you, they determined that themselves. With the somewhat stricter policies in place, I'm surprised and grateful to them for applying the discount to it.

I always tell myself that I will cancel most of them but then I become complacent and end up cancelling like 2 of 12...

You are much safer with a smaller list lol

Is the 20% off pre-order deal over? I don't see it appear when I preorder?

Maybe, when I click the 20% off tab I'm not getting back any results but I am for the $30 off. Going to a games page that was 20% off also has the deal removed.

Speaking of $30 off, will Amazon have a fit if I have one order made up of 20% off games and one order with $30 off games?

And I got this bullshit:

"Hello from Amazon.ca,

I completely understand your concern in this regard.

I checked and see that the ASINs that are discounted as a part of the Save up to $30 promotion.

The discount savings has already applied on the item list price. Hence you are not eligible for more 20% off

You Save: CDN$ 20.00 (25%)

I am truly sorry that we were not able to fulfill your expectations for this level of service. I hope that you will honor us with another opportunity to prove the quality of our service to you in the future."

They really piss me off this year. The answer they gave me is complete bullshit. Game was 59.99% and said it qualified for 20% off and they never gave it to me. What is so hard to understand?

You could tell them the game was not listed under the $30 off promo but it was in the 20% instead. Doubt it would work now since they have removed the promo page. I got the same bs response from one of CS I talked to and after I told him the fact, he tried to convince me to wait 24 hours for "specialist team".

That's what I did and that is the answer from the "specialist team". Great specialist... I guess Luigi87 got a better specialist. For my Titanfall 2 inquiry, the specialist team wrote me to call them. At this point the 10$ more I can save is not worth it, fuck it.

Not me. I pre-order everything I'm remotely interested in just to be safe. I usually wait until a week or two before release, and get impressions from the various leaks and news outlets, and make a decision whether to keep or cancel.

This method sure beats waiting until last minute, finding out something is a must have game, then paying $90+ for it with tax.

Oh and my 14 game list: I'll probably end up cancelling half.

God of War
Mass Effect Andromeda
Nier Automata
Resident Evil 7
Persona 5
Battlefield 1
Spiderman
Final Fantasy XII
World of Final Fantasy
Days Gone
Deus Ex
Dishonored 2
Ghost Recon Wildlands
Skyrim Special Edition

My damage this year totaled $662.07. Last year I was pushing a thousand - but then a bunch of games I preordered last year probably won't even see the light of day until 2018.

Amazon:
Horizon: Zero Dawn
God Eater 2
Pokemon Sun
Pokemon Moon
Wario & Boo Amiibo

Best Buy:
Ever Oasis
Dragon Quest VII
Final Fantasy XII
Last Guardian Collector's Edition

Last Year:
Zelda Wii U
Final Fantasy XV
NieR: Automata
Final Fantasy VII
Mass Effect: Andromeda
World of Final Fantasy
Kingdom Hearts III
Tokyo Mirage Sessions

Oh yeah so this year's damage (ignoring previous years because I can't remember that, lol). Made two orders:

Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE
Monster Hunter Generations
World of Final Fantasy (PS4)
Gravity Rush 2

Skyrim Special Edition
Titianfall 2

Will likely cancel that second order, but for now holding.

Can we all spam the tell us about a lower price page on Amazon for Gravity Rush 2 and Dragon Quest VIII? Best Buy has both for 59.99 and 49.99 respectively, instead of Amazon's 79.99 and 49.99.

Haha, nope. I probably end up cancelling 3 out of every 5 games I order. And out of the games I get, I probably quickly play through and sell half the games (sometimes for a profit). The only things I don't order are games that I absolutely know I wouldn't be into. Order the rest. Cancel closer to release if I don't think it's worth it.

At least this way, there isn't a situation where a game I was iffy on didn't preorder, started to look extremely good near release and I have to consider paying full price for it if I want to play it at launch.

Done.

Normally I do but every other year I've only ordered 3-6 games. This year I ordered 12 so some of them may go back.

The Division from Future Shop is the only game I haven't kept since it was sent to an old address and returned to sender. I could've corrected and had it sent here but I wasn't feeling it after the beta.

Why do they want the price including GST? They don't advertise price with GST, same for any other website. It's irrelevant...

Just followed up with Amazon about the status of the additional 20% off of my Titanfall 2 order and they said that they can't apply the discount now but gave me a guarentee that it will be applied to the price when it ships. It might be worth trying to reason with them again, but for the sake of a $10 it may not be worth your time.

I cancelled a few last year, but bought the majority. This year, the only one I'm iffy about is South Park: The Fractured But Whole. Love the humour; think I'll hate the battle system. But this E3 catered to my interests super hard. I pre-ordered 15 games; 14 I can't see myself cancelling. And I still have 3 games on the books from last year.

Remember their releases will be spread out over the next two years or so. I'm extremely picky about which games I buy, so if anything looks iffy, I'll cut it. Usually this means I'm starving for games between releases I care about though. If not for Witcher and Fallout DLC, I wouldn't be playing anything right now.

I ordered the same game and the same thing happened. I had a chat session that was unproductive (basically said "if it's part of the promotion, the discount should've been automatic", I asked if the game's presence or the discount not being applied was a glitch and they just said "that could be possible"), but then I shot an email explaining the situation in detail and I got an email today that seems a bit more hopeful. I did that after they asked for my feedback on how helpful my chat session ended up being. I said that the problem wasn't solved and then clarified everything in the email.

Basically they forwarded my email to the marketing/promotions department to check the discount and potentially provide me with updated order information, which should take 1-2 business days. So that's a start, at least. If it works out I'm happy.

$12 may not be a lot, but for some reason between getting a $79.99 game for $59.99 or for $47.99, the latter seems more impressive haha. I'll take what I can get though.

I decided a while ago that I just don't want to try and game CSRs to get discounts out of Amazon, and that if that's what it would take to get me to pre-order a game I was probably better off waiting anyways. Good luck to everyone still trying, though, it's shitty that Amazon decided to change the game in a sneaky way this year even if I understand why.

There will be much hoop jumping with Amazon this year thanks to all of those 20% discounts that are, in actuality, $63.99 and no less discounts. Not to mention that their "solution" to fix an order that is inaccurate (either this week or following price drops in the future) is a manual price adjustment that wipes out the 20% altogether.

So, for example, if you contacted them to get FFXII correctly discounted down to what $69.99 less 20% would be... they'll give you a $55.99 price point. But they won't give you a corrected order that has the promotion reflected properly. They won't give you $69.99 with a $14 discount. So any future price drops? Well, they'll laugh at you unless you really want to jump through some elaborate hoops (i.e. saving Emails and waiting up to a week for a response back to ensure they honor both their 20% E3 pre-order discount as well as their best price guarantee.

So look forward to that in the future for any subsequent price drops that may follow. Almost all of those $79.99 games will behave similarly.

Yea, pretty sure it will work like that. I gave my fare share of time chatting with CS for multiple things throughout the years and I think that I am totally burnt. Saving is nice, but I do not have the energy to explain myself anymore. Even simple things like World of Final Fantasy were not understood properly... I am not trying to trick anyone into anything, I was just trying to get what was advertised.

I am just so disappointed by the way Amazon ran this E3.

Wait, getting them to fix an order is essentially removing the discount from your order? wtf

..I really wish best buy didn't pull that point crap. I did NOT want to order with amazon.
