I feel sympathy for him but he cannot really blame King if he hasn't made a lot of money off the app considering it has been out on the store for 4 years and as he mentions often enough, was out for 2 years before candy crush was.
Thanks for the spoiler. That's exactly what he asked NOT to do.snip

Spoiler
I said patince will be rewarded. I described nothing.
That is making a parallel to stating a book exists, therefore you are spoiled of the contents of its existence. That would be worse than implying cover art spoils something. lol.
Some stuff.
That would have been the case, though I'm guessing that since King went on to purchase the rights to Candy Crusher which pre-dates Candy Swipe (but is unrelated to it), they used that to fight Candy Swipe's trademarkIf he has a trademark for Candyswipe, I don't really get the issue. He was there first so his trademark should take precedent over King's.

Unfortunately King.com have been very clever here. The CandySwipe and Candy Crush Saga registrations are in class 9. CandySwipe clearly predates Candy Crush and thus has priorty. King.com knew they were fucked.
So, three months after the original application (which was AGAINST King) they went back as far as they could to find the first 'Candy' related trade mark IN CLASS 9 that was still active and used their financial muscle to purchase it. Now that they own the rights to the mark that predates CandySwipe, they can amalgamate the usage of their two marks (Candy Crusher and Candy Crush Saga) and they now have priority over CandySwipe.
Horrible, and morally shitty, but very, very clever. And legally, it's a winning move. The end, thanks for playing, where's the next poor prostitute I can go and torture.

Wow, seriously how do they manage to keep sinking lower? First we learn about them trademarking common words
Actually, and i've never watched or read, but you made it very clear that something terrible will happen to him. That's not the same as stating he exists.
Interpretations, how do they work? Clearly you know someting that I don't. Care to elaborate? How can you not see that it's a spoiler to tell someone that they will eventually be satisfied by a particular outcome concerning a character which they clearly hate?
You implying something will happen is still a spoiler.
Truly disgusting. Rich getting richer something something...That's so disgusting.
So his game came out before Candy Crush? How can he be stopped?
If I were the judge I would tell them to go fuck off if they even pursue suing this guy. Like literally when they came to the court I would tell them fuck off, case closed.
Wow, it's really Off-TopicGAF in here with the scumbag defense force.I'd love to hear exactly how all of his truthfully went down. King are obviously being devious as fuck but I wouldn't be surprised if they offered this guy money to give it up first and he asked for more or something and that's why they ended up screwing him over. And he's kind of blatantly playing up the dedicated to his mother thing too for sympathy which I kind of don't agree with. Hmm.
That's disgusting, as well as a pretty good reminder that "legal" doesn't mean shit when the laws have easy loopholes.

Do you know how silly that bolded part reads? It's Ransom's fucking property. Why should he accept their offer?

If you offer me $1000 for the car in my driveway and I say 'no thank you', that doesn't mean you get to come back the next day and drive off with it for free.
No but if you're shitty car was only worth $500 in the first place and then you wrote a sad story about how some asshole stole your car the day after your hamster died, left the part where he offered you $1000 first and ended up getting $2000+ in donations by preying on people's sympathy I'd probably try and say hey guys maybe don't give this guy any more money
