Or a choose your own adventure?About the hud: Everyone compares this to an action game, but what if this is an command based rpg?
This is what I thought. Just CG. I didn't see one part that looks like actual gameplay. That is why when someone in another thread asked me "So, Deep Down didn't impress you?" I responded 'no' due to the fact it cannot be discerned if that's gameplay or cutscenes.I saw no indications of actual player control. Looked like scripted scenes with a fake HUD slapped over it.
I'm totally and honestly amazed at the hypocrisy of people.
Tell me something. Did you, by any luck, never see in a videogame from the last 5 years, some kind of QTE, or cinematic integrated to gameplay ? Like you know, you fight against a boss and at some point the camera change and you have a cinematic of the guy doing this and that, or like the qte in GoW when there are crazy shits done to bosses ?
What's so hard to imagine in this demo... Videogame are FULL of things like that nowadays anyway.. Why are people trying to act like they cannot believe a modern videogame is a mix between gameplay and mise en scène..
Scripted and in-engine isn't the same thing as pre-rendered CG.This is what I thought. Just CG. I didn't see one part that looks like actual gameplay. Yeah, it's that detail there (half res over transparent overdraw to save GPU BW) that makes me think this was in fact running on PS4 devkit. If they wanted to "fake it", they could have ran in on GTX680 SLI and probably wouldn't have to do something like that.Come on guys, this is clearly in-game/in-engine
Do you think you would you see jaggies in a CGI?!
I don't understand why they're making another game just like Dragon's Dogma. Are they competing with themselves? Does this mean no Dragon's Dogma 2? (I hope not)

I think they are pushing the limit here what can be done with particles and framebuffer effects, but it is still realtime. The fire effects look insane but these are the same people who made those fire effects on Gamecube, so I wouldn't doubt them.
Goodness, catch some feelings over there? In any case, if what we saw is a big QTE...well that's pretty lame. And the HUD in that sequence seems to imply otherwise. Also just makes it seem like a way less interesting game if that's the case. I'd much rather this video be complete BS and they're making a really solid Dark Souls-ish game that doesn't look as good.
Then let me elaborate by saying to me it looked pre-rendered.Scripted and in-engine isn't the same thing as pre-rendered CG.

Hope Itsuno works on this.
Actually it *is* Dragon's Dogma 2 according to VGLeaks.
Come on guys, this is clearly in-game/in-engine

I just wanted to let you know that, even if Deep Down is a true example of what we'll see in game, there were literally people who found 'flaws' in the Killzone CG and used that as proof to say the game is in-engine. Almost word for word the way you did here lol

My first thought after watching the announcement was that it was probably CGI trailer, but why would there be any HUD in a pre-rendered trailer? It has to be "gameplay".Looks absolutely insane!!

Skyrim with mods....lol...
If this is like Dark Souls like everyone says, I'm going to shit my pants. I know Capcom is better than that. This looks like an amazing, story driven, very archaic and brutal looking game with some fluid movements and none of that gimmicky garbage and bland choppiness.
I look forward to it.

Killzone looked way too scripted to be gameplay. Watch Dogs on the other hand looked ok but nothing spectacular.

After looking at the simplicity of the HUD, I'm guessing its just going to be "Dark Souls" on rails. If you look at the trailler its actually not that hard to tell that the camera is running on rails. Also, it's Capcom so I'm guessing it's Move compatible.
Killzone scripted?
it was clear as day that was gameplay lol.
The demo had been practiced and rehearsed to death. At some point it might as well just be scripted.
It also had a render pop-in at the beginning, depth of field on the man made fire was glitching as if it was loading inCome on guys, this is clearly in-game/in-engine

I swear Killzone brings out the worst in posters. The demo had been practiced and rehearsed to death. At some point it might as well just be scripted.
