The children didn't need sex. Wanda pretty much willed them into existence did she not?

Yes. Which led her going insane and killing/breaking up of avengers.

Zeno was great. Him not wanting the other winter soldiers was refreshing cause it is what damn near every other superhero movie villain would have done.

Nah even though it's good cap defeated Tony, on a regular day cap doesn't stand a chance, any chance has to work out like it did here with Bucky helping and Tony not wanting to seriously injured cap. I mean he even defeated him at close quarters after downloading him

Nah. The entire fight both directions is plot armored to hell and back. But a full on, no holds barred fight between the two isn't a landslide in either direction.

Tony could've used a larger arsenal but an AI taking only a few seconds to analyze Caps fighting style doesn't work because Cap knows damn near every fighting style. As it would adapt, so would he. Tony is very dependent on the suit and the AI and Cap has far greater on the fly tactical decision making.

Unless MCU Iron Man has weapons that are massively stronger than what we've seen, it would be damn close I think.

Banner would certainly not be on the side which Ross is on and Ross is pretty much the spokesperson for the accords process > #TeamStank.

I agree, there's no way he would have sided with Tony due to Ross (and also because Banner has always kinda been anti-government) , but I also think he wouldn't have agreed with Cap either since he *knows* he isn't in control and that personal responsibility isn't enough. He kinda already made his choice on the matter by vanishing and removing himself from the equation.

Yup. I had begun my face palm at that point and was really happy to see they had all been shot in the head

That part worked so well. I was thinking oh shit. He'll release the other 5 and brainwash Bucky again, seal them in the room let them fight. Instead we get the realization that Bucky killed Tony's mom and dad in cold blood.

Honestly everything I've seen about her makes her seem like a Hero designed by tumblr.

SPOILERS: comics generally tend to appeal to "audiences", many of which can include teen and/or tween demographics

generally speaking, contemporary teenagers are not into things such as RIP AND TEAR or I DON'T NEED A JETPACK, ALL I NEED IS HATE

Wait, what? What does that have to do with anything..?

It always kills me when people are salty about things like the new Squirrel Girl run or America Chavez because they think that comics still need to be in lockstep with their own personal sensibilities and anything outside of that is "tumblr garbage", just like all the straight white male 35-somethings that cry over Bayformers films because they neglect to realize that these forms of entertainment are primarily geared towards kids

Okay... I get what your saying... But your also seemingly arguing that someone can't have issues with a character, because that character wasn't targeted towards them, as if that somehow shrugs off all criticism.

Your basically doing the equivalent of when BvS came out and people were saying: "Oh this movie wasn't made for you."

What are your issues with America Chavez? Feel too "forced" for you?

wooow it was reaaaaaaallly good..

i cant believe though in ten minutes of screen time they made me like spiderman holy shit.. that kid was reeally fucking good. the SM movie seems like its gonna be really good.

i didnt like the bad guy or the overall end of just get them to fight themselves... how did that dude even know about tonys parents... for being the last cap movie it was less his movie than anyones.. never been a big fan of cap anyway..i did miss the hulk ..over all it was really well writen and the action seemed more realistic. cant fucking wait or the A3 movie.
also the black panther was fucking awesome.

If it makes it seem more plausible, those babies are actually a result of Wanda's reality bending powers basically generating babies out of thin air rather than her actually being impregnated by a robot, though that wasn't established until a few decades after the panel in question.

I'm inclined to agree here. Not to mention Tony has nothing to counter the shield which as he showed in AoU vs Ultron's vibranium body his weapons alone won't do anything. In a straight up all out brawl I can't see Cap letting the shield go, so it's a draw likely with and edge to Cap imo.

Well to put it simply, she comes across as someone who is more pandering then anything. Diversity is great, it's something I actively pursue with many of my stories, however when it comes to the character of America Chavez, it comes across less as trying to make a character, but a statement.

Here is a homosexual Latino female character (who was also born to two mothers), who is also supremly strong, fast, and so on, but also has the name "America" in her very name and it's her uniform. I get what they were going for, it's almost the antithesis to the right-winged fear mongering, it's basically everything they fear. It's a characters who almost look and ideals goes against the grain, a symbol I guess of a more accepting America where this wouldn't be considered out of the norm. (You know, that future that should be now.)

It's just for me... It's a little too on the nose for my liking. This is just my opinion and I don't think others need to agree, it's just my way of looking at it.

What made me dislike Cap:
He used to be in love with Agent Carter, then she dies and immediately he's kissing her niece?
Bucky kills Tony's parents and then Cap is still defending him (I know he was brainwashed but that doesn't make it ok). A good chunk of the movie is Cap defending Bucky from people lol
Cap using profanity just doesn't seem right lol, it seems out of character

Also just fyi, tony would have won the fight at the end if it wasn't two on one (and he almost still won)

Just saw it. Loved it.

Zemo. Oh my what can I say about him. He was the beat part about the movie. Everyone is expecting him to reanimated the winter soldiers and he just kills them instead.

Makes him a tragic villain out of necessity in the end.

Loved that twist. Really strong and tight pacing.

I don't even know if this counts as a nitpick, but when FRIDAY started reading Cap's fight pattern I was a little disappointed Tony didn't already have an Iron-Man suit Cap defence built in. Like 'kickcapsass.exe' or 'wreckperfectteeth.exe'.

The fact that Bayformers is marketed for children is disturbing in of itself.

Lol, he's not Batman :P

The Sharon thing is weirdly timed. I guess the argument would be that Cap has long since had time to come to terms with Peggy being...well. Old.

I don't think Tony's parents being killed is "ok" but what do you want Bucky to do now? It happened decades ago. You can't exactly prosecute him or jail him for it.

Cap's been unfrozen for how many years now? Its time to move on. And its not like he had any kind of real relationship with Peggy.

Nobody is saying its okay but beating Bucky to death isn't going to help anything or anybody.

Cap used profanity?

I think you need to watch the fight again to see what I mean. All through the fight, Tony was going for Bucky but the first time he actually paid attention to Cap, he beats him silly in hand to hand which is wear captains bleeding saying I can do this all day, then Bucky distracts ironman for captain to attack and disable his suit. In a one on one, that's even more skewed. The suit can easily lift a flying nuke, punch out concrete and it's got missiles and lasers, it will kill captain before he can even get close, the shield doesn't protect all of captains body of we go by saying vibranium is op, I just don't see any scenario aside this one where cap can stand ironman. This is like the spiderman debate, even though he's inexperienced, in an all out fight, Cap and ironman don't light a candle on spiderman

Agree. Supposedly they cut out a lot of their scenes together which is why that kiss comes out of left field and feels forced.

I think rather than a kiss he should've said so how about that cup of coffee when I get back etc.

I liked Spider-Man's introduction into the MCU. I was laughing the whole time Tony Stank was talking shit.

All around, good movie. Lots of action. Looks like the Civil War will keep going into the foreseeable future. I thought the Civil War would've been a "one and done" kind of deal. Glad I'm wrong.

Carter's niece, Sharon, was that random waitress they saved in Avengers 1, right?

Cap's been unfrozen for five years, I think he likely realized he had to move on. Not to mention he seemed to develop romantic feelings first for Sharon before he knew she was a Carter. Hell through the entirety of WS he doesn't know she's Peggy's grand-niece at all. Presumably she and Cap have spent time together in the two years since WS.

lol wat how old is she in the comics and movie anyway?
In the movies, I thought she was around 19-20, maybe even 21, but apparently according to some she's meant to be a teenager?

Give me an example of a straight white male comic book character whose background and very existence feel as forced to you as America Chavez.

Lmao!!! It's all good, we all entitled to our opinions. I also think black widow will bear Thor

No, but fun fact, the actress who played the waitress, Ashley Johnson, played Ellie in The Last of Us.

Okay, yeah, I see where this is going. Sorry, but I'd rather not continue this converstation.

Oh man. A followup line about the cup of coffee he invited her to back in TWS? That would have been killer instead of the kiss.

Although we would have lost out on Bucky and Sam giving him that "hound dog" grin.

RDJ's acting during that part was phenomenal.

If I found out my friend/confidant/fellow superhero had been keeping details surrounding my parents' death from while the guy standing to my right was the one who killed them, you better damn believe I'd be flipping that switch to Hulk Mode fairly quickly. I kept mumbling to myself "...oh shit...oh shit..." as that video was being played.

So, when it comes to the Accords bombing, was that actually Bucky, or Zemo that the camera caught a pic of?

Just came back from watching it, one of the best Marvel movie ever. Plus the MCU version of Spider-Man is far superior than Sony's Spider-Man and this was the Spider-Man that I wanted to see for years.

In fact I enjoyed Spider-Man part in the movie that I just had a big grin on my face when I saw the word "Queens" pop on screen.

Black Panther was also pretty good and I look forward to seeing his solo movie.

Adam-X The X-treme is the easy answer to this question, especially when they were hinting at him being a Summers Brother.

(Btw, outside this thread I have no idea who America Chavez is so I have no opinion on whether or not the character feels forced.)
