What if Monica Rambeau is actually cast, as like, an assistant at Avengers mansion, and you can tell she really, really wants to be part of the team, only for Tony to tell her to take a clipboard full of some bullshit out of the room so he can make Danvers Captain Marvel in exchange for going on a date with him.
Only to have Danvers get powers and then spurn Tony for T'Challa.
So Zemo is another changed character huh? And the Skull dude (forgot his name) didn't last long despite what Winter Soldier seemed to lead on, then again so did the villain teased in The First Avenger (forgot his name, he had the Odin staff).
With that said, Zemo was said to be just a "regular family guy out on revenge". How did he manage to pay hitman and dig up all these shit? Was he a former Hydra guy?
Also wait, I don't remember Cap knowing about who killed Tony's parents.
I don't like any of this.
It's fucking dogshit.
It is.The Tony x Spidey stuff seems a bit garbo, even if Spidey himself sounds amazing. I hope they rectify this in Homecoming.
In the Winter Soldier. Zola tells Cap and Black Widow in that bunker scene. Also, Widow gives Cap those Secret files at the end of the movie..Question: was The Winter Soldier killing Tony's parents a sort of retcon? I don't remember it ever being mentioned in any film before this one.
It felt a bit contrived, but I can easily forgive it because that payoff was so fucking good. Easily the best action climax in the MCU. A lot of these movies shit the bed in their third act, but this movie actually has a finale that is better than the rest of the film...which is how it should be!
16 year-old supergenius bitten by a radioactive spider gains the powers of a spider and then hand-designs webshooters and the miracle adhesive that goes into it, but is too poor to somehow fashion a pair of superhero jammies.
Okay.
Sure.
Believable.
Of all the things in the commonly accepted origin of Spider-Man, an origin maybe only a millimeter less familiar to the public than Superman's/Batman's, the one thing that needed to be changed for suspension of disbelief's sake is that he can't make a costume by himself anymore.
Now Tony Fucking Stark's gotta do it for him. And plant easter eggs in it like a blu-ray special feature.
Hey Snyder, this is how you create a feud.
Ant-Man stole the show. Captain America was as boring as ever. Tony is becoming a responsible man, what a bore. New Spidey was cool (CGI was bad). Black Panther was meh. Wanda was really cool. Clint and Widow were quite meh. Vision was funny. Stan Lee had the best joke.
That airport fight was awesome.
All in all a good movie. At least better than The Avengers movies and the first Cap movies. 4/5. This is how you should've made The Avengers movies.

In this scene (at 2:10) it's heavily implied.Question: was The Winter Soldier killing Tony's parents a sort of retcon? I don't remember it ever being mentioned in any film before this one.

From the announcement of this movie, everything in my head pointed to Tony finding out that Bucky killed his dad. Didn't realize he was gonna go ape shit because of the death of..let's call her Martha lol.In this scene (at 2:10) it's heavily implied.

He wasn't Hydra I think, he was some soldier from a special forces unit from Sokovia.
Well, at least Zemo didn't die, so he could come back in a future film.

Correct.I assume it must be, because it's gonna be old Howard Stark, but the murder scene features John Slattery, not Dominic Cooper?
Correct?
Yup. Minus the mom part, I figured this was gonna be a big part of the movie. They just saved it for the very end. Kind of surprises me how surprised the crowd was. All these nerds decked out in Marvel gear must have missed that part in Winter Soldier with the newspaper clip..Yeah, Tony was already really fragile emotionally at that point, then he got hit with the triple whammy of finding out his parents got murdered, the murderer is right next to him, and his friend knew about it/did nothing
No..not really.Yeah he isn't dancing a lot in this

It really piled up for him. Add the mother blaming him for her son's death and Pepper's not there for him.
That dude works out like a maniac for the Cap roll..oh yeah, I forgot to mention, holy shit at Chris Evan's arm at that helicopter scene. do they use some cg enhancement or something?

Watched the UK press conference and someone asked this, and that's all Evans.
Chris did say that they film scenes like that pretty early on in production, because you can't workout as much during actual filming, so you start to shed a bit of muscle through the whole process.
*Yawn* Sorry guys. Nerd-rage over who builds Spidey's suit
Or maybe they just want to solidify a mentor/protege relationship
I will fight you.
Maybe you were just a lil too sleepy (what with all the yawning and asterisks) but you seemed to have missed how deadlyserious everyone involved was taking this. Like, sweating profusely and teeth grittingly serious.
I managed to run a spellcheck in the middle of my embolism level serious, man.
Wake up!
No shit. The point is pretty obvious. As is my counterpoint: Fuck Stark.
Obviously I think Tony being Peter's mentor is a dumb idea.
So I don't like that.
Whoa. WHOA. Buddy. Slow down. Too serious. You might cause a yawn or two out in these streets.
The whole mentorship thing is... mighty stupid. But then again, so is having Spider-Man as a teen. I'll take what I can get I guess.
