-CHASE- Unsolved Cases Division announced (ex-CING staff, 3DS eShop)

Nintendo, of course.

Situations like Devil's Third and The Last Story are very rare for them.

Pretty sure Nintendo owns TLS. They trademarked the name even before it was unveiled. They likely just allowed Mistwalker to use it in Terra Battle, likely with a cut of the profits?

While there hasn’t been any real news for the game, the devs have been posting parts of a short story (4 so far) that read like a prequel to the game. It might give you an idea of who the two main characters are and how a case will play out in the game, so here’s a short summary:

1) Koto Amekura. She’s focused on here career and doing her job as a police detective the right way. Her role model is her big brother who’s an elite police detective. She joins the Unsolved Cases Division. It sounds interesting to her but the division also isn’t very respected within the police force.

2) Once she arrives there for the first time, she meets her new partner and the only other member of this division, Nanase Shounosuke. He’s sitting at his desk while smoking in a non-smoking area and he looks more interest in playing with a deck of cards than doing his job. Koto sighs and ponders the possibility that this division wasn’t the right choice for her.

3) She decides to get to work, going through old case files. Things get interesting when she answers the phone and a man tells her that he “killed his wife 8 years ago”. When it turns out to be a prank call, Koto starts to understand why Nanase is so disinterested in doing this work. Suddenly, someone is repeatedly knocking at the door of the office. A young girl is standing at the door who wants to talk with someone from the Unsolved Crimes Division.

4) Koto convinces Nanase to hear her out. The girl leads them through the streets of the shopping district while talking about her father non-stop and they come to a small park where she used to play with her dad. Koto isn’t quite sure what to make of the girl, why she contacted them and if this park is the scene of an unsolved case. The girl suddenly becomes quiet and when Nanase gives her some comforting words of advice, she starts to cry.

I don´t really understand.

The game is € 5,99 and is quiet short.

Now I am sitting at an completely open end.

Is there more to come?

Or do you have to buy the chapters separately?
