mood said:LOL, wait whats so funny? The people that play MLG rules have probably done all that disallowed stuff for hours and have decided they want to play in a more competitive and skillful environment. Beating up on scrubs with power weapons isn't the most fun thing in the world.
USD said:I still don't see the issue. How is that any different than using a high damage weapon and Stopping Power?
MWS Natural said:Because stopping power doesn't bring every single weapon dmg up the the level to be able to put a serious dent in someone using juggernaut. I'm not even that skilled of a player but when I use the AK47 + Jugg it's almost a guaranteed top 3 finish. I just don't usually because I think its a cheap overpowered combo.
But Stopping Power completely cancels out Juggernaut, putting your weapon back at its default strength. If you're having issues using your weapon at its original strength, then get better at using your gun.MWS Natural said:Because stopping power doesn't bring every single weapon dmg up the the level to be able to put a serious dent in someone using juggernaut. My thoughts exactly (and with sarcasm seasoning). :lolVictrix said:If only Juggernaut and SP cancelled each other out, reverting you to base damage dealt. That would be awesome.
Also, these rules are fucking stupid, I second the (lol)
MoxManiac said:That's the thing though. People that make up imaginary rules and boundaries in competitive games ARE scrubs. Competitive players that want to get better don't ban things they don't like, they find ways to counter them.

As an avid COD4 player, I don't see why 6, 8, and 9 are even mentioned. I guess, they want to turn the game into Halo (i.e straight run and gun game)...FF_VIII said:I saw this on GFaqs
1. No leaving the normal boundaries of a Map.
2. No going into the tunnel walls on Pipepline.
3. No going on top of the arch on District.
4. No going onto Invisible Ledges.
5. No jumping off of another Character.
6. No using the Grenade Launcher.
7. No using the Frag x 3 Perk.
8. No using C4.
9. No using Claymores.
10. No removing players on the opposing Team from the Private Match once a Game has started.
11. Breaking any of rules #1-10 will result in a Forfeit of the Game.

mood said:You guys act like the concept of overpowered weapons just can't exist and that there is an equally balanced counter to everything. There really isn't.
Those who are moaning about Juggernaut is not so much with Juggernaut but lack of over powering that Stopping Power gets you.USD said:But Stopping Power completely cancels out Juggernaut, putting your weapon back at its default strength. Why should Stopping Power overpower Juggernaut? It makes sense that they cancel each other out. Stopping Power (with some exceptions) lets you take down a target with one less shot than normal. Juggernaut let's you survive an extra shot. They are balanced well enough as is.Sushen said:Those who are moaning about Juggernaut is not so much with Juggernaut but lack of over powering that Stopping Power gets you.

If it is part of the game it should be allowed.

There's no obligation to use Stopping Power or Juggernaut. I run around with a UAV Jammer or Overkill when I'm in the mood and play with about the same effectiveness.OldJadedGamer said:Why should I have to waste my perk slot with either of them? What if I want UAV Jammer or Sonic Boom. I shouldn't have to be required to have one or the other in that slot.
Depends on what sniper rifle you're using. Most of them will kill with a shot to the chest. Unless your target is using Juggernaut, then you're just fucked.Without stopping power, a player can take a direct snipe to the center of their chest and keep running. That is straight bullshit and would NEVER happen. That's why I love Hardcore because it makes both Juggernaut and Stopping power 100% worthless.
OldJadedGamer said:both are useless in hardcore and I love it. When I or my buddies see a red cross when shooting someone in HC we instantly say "what a dumb ass". Either they are a noob to HC or they made a mistake and couldn't change their perk in time before the match started.
G3 is one shot kill in HC. Every weapon is one shot kill if you're playing within its range, and most guns are one shot kill period.salva said:What? In HC mode if you use the G3 without stopping power it will kill in two shots. If you use stopping power the G3 will kill with one shot..

Uhm....Shotguns aren't usually one shot one kill unless you're 2 feet from the person![]()

OldJadedGamer said:Sounds like you are using a different version of the G3 then I am because in HC, I can shoot someone across the map like in say Countdown and kill them with one bullet. That's what I love about the G3 in HC, you never have to reload it![]()
