I don't have a problem with Auto bids but there needs to be a qualifier behind them like the non AQ teams have. Win your conference and finish in the top 16 to get a bid. Winning a dogshit conference isn't enough.

And how do you judge conference strength? Hyperbole? Games played East of the mighty Miss? Legends and Leaders?

I'm gonna drink every time OU gets a first down. By the time the games over there's no way I'll remember the game

I'm not talking about conference strength, I'm saying a team that win's its conference only gets in if they finish in the top 16 of the BCS.

Bowl game records doesn't mean much.

So the Big Ten sucked in bowl games this year when everyone thought the conference was fairly strong.

And last year, when the conference was supposedly weak, they actually did really well in bowl games.

It just goes to show that a conference's strength is almost impossible to determine until bowl season.

Think i figured it out, the UCONN band uniforms and football uniforms were mixed up and it's actually the band members who are out there playing on the lines.

Are you saying that the band is out on the field?

its the bowl chairmans protecting their piggybank. they put on one game of year, force the universities to buy the tickets to the games in huge allotments and its all tax free.

It is more the big boys protecting their competitive advantages. Sometimes that comes in the form of access, other times it's money.

I wanted to go and support UConns first BCS appearance, truly I did, but honestly how big a fan you are doesnt matter much when you just can't afford a flight across the country, a hotel, rental car, and the tickets.

Sucks.

Damn I fell asleep at halftime to find out Wisconsin blew it. Now I'm afraid that the Buckeyes chances just became slim and none.
