Jacory is my frontrunner for the Heisman this year (and the Nr.1 pick next year)

Too bad my ESPN America subscription runs out today, SKY Germany seriously want to charge me more than 30 a month when I'm only interested in that one channel. Fuck'em, I put all my hope in atdhe.net(and the fact that I can watch most games at work).

Like I said above: Jacory Harris, dude has it all. The arm, composure, the legs. Kinda like Dennis Dixon. Only needs to get a little bit buffer.
Five months ago, UM's website called Nevin Shapiro ``an ardent, devoted, intense supporter.'' A student lounge was named in his honor. Now, facing years in prison for allegedly running a Ponzi scheme, Shapiro is writing a book about the UM football program in which he alleges former Canes players committed NCAA violations, said his attorney, Maria Elena Perez. Perez said Shapiro told the federal government about the violations, which are alleged to be major, but it did not investigate because ``that's not their area.''

Washington coach Steve Sarkisian ponders the question: Does he see similarities in the career paths of two of his most famous students Jake Locker and Carson Palmer, now a starting quarterback with the Cincinnati Bengals? He nods furiously.
"Yeah, very similar," he says. "Eerily similar."
And also, he hopes, prophetic.
...
Sarkisian thinks the similarities go even further, noting that USC went 6-6 in 2001 before busting out 10 wins in 2002, the true beginning of the Carroll dynasty, while UW went 5-7 last season.
"I'm telling you, to me, not only are their situations very, very similar, but for the programs as well," Sarkisian said. "I don't know what that all means. But I hope it can kind of recreate itself."

Locker confirmed for Heisman winner and #1 overall pick. UW confirmed for Rose Bowl and 9-10 wins and beginning of a 7 year dynasty atop the Pac-10.
I'm not sold on Tuberville at all. He won at Auburn based on defense+running game, and Batch is the only decent RB they have. And Tuberville's adventures in spread offense are what got his ass fired in the first place.Monroeski said:Possibly making last minute plans to head to Lubbock to watch the first game of the Tuberville Era at Texas Tech. Man, OSU doesn't play well in the early season. I reaaaaally don't see them winning that one.ConfusingJazz said:Do you know why I picked Oregon State? Not because of the football, but because I heard that they have only sold 40k seats at Jerry World for it. And people wonder why I am adamant that they shouldn't join the Big 12.
That's just pretty much wrong. RB is probably the deepest position on the entire team. Crawford filled in as a starter admirably several years ago, and is a good power back; Stephens performed VERY well last year as a true freshman. True freshman Ben McRoy has been turning a lot of heads this fall as well and is expected to get some playing time due to his speed.KingGondo said:I'm not sold on Tuberville at all. Try to play straightforward football against OU and Texas, and they'll get their asses handed to them. They'll still be dangerous, but I'm skeptical that they'll ever be as good as they were under Leach again.

This is why the Big XII doesn't want or need TCU. First game of a hugely hyped season, just down the road from the campus, coming off the best year they've had in decades and a BCS bowl, at possibly the best football stadium in the country, against a ranked opponent, and the tickets sold right now is about 20,000 less than the average Big XII game attendance level from last year (and higher than the average attendance of only one individual team, Baylor).ConfusingJazz said:Do you know why I picked Oregon State? Same goes for OSU and OU. Tons of alums in both Dallas and Houston.Monroeski said:Tech, A&M, and Texas each probably have as many alumni in TCU's hometown as TCU has alumni on Earth.
Most importantly, they lost their coordinator. Maybe whoever was hired to take Stoops' place will keep the ball rolling, but I don't expect them to remain at the same level.max_cool said:The D lost a shit-ton, they have a weaker D-line than last year due to losses and they have no returning starters at linebacker.
That's fair, I'll admit my knowledge of TTU is pretty limited to years past.Monroeski said:That's just pretty much wrong. RB is probably the deepest position on the entire team. Batch is definitely the man, but to say that nobody else is even decent is the opinion of somebody who hasn't really been paying attention to the team. There are plenty of things to be concerned about for this team but RB isn't one of them.

The home team in the Tech-OSU series has won every game since 2002. Also, OSU hasn't won in Lubbock since World War II.KingGondo said:That's fair, I'll admit my knowledge of TTU is pretty limited to years past.
I also take back what I said with regards to schedule: Tech's is pillow-soft this year. Only games that will be tough are UT, @ OU, OSU (always a good game), Mizzou, and @A&M. They'll probably lose to OU and UT, and 2-1 in the remaining 3 tough games would be excellent. 8-9 wins is probably reasonable, considering the schedule (I count 7 gimme wins).
As for OSU, the fourth game (A&M at home) will likely determine the entire trajectory of the season. Win that, and 8-9 wins should happen. Lose it, and we're likely sitting at 6-6.I'm pretty optimistic, though--Kendall Hunter will absolutely beast this season, and I expect the offense to hit its stride by the A&M game (and their defense was terrible last year).
