Come confess your gaming sins, child.

I don't like Mass Effect
I don't like MGS
I don't like GoW
I don't like GeoW
I don't like Halo
I don't like Dragon's Age
I don't like Star Fox
I don't like Kirby
I don't like F-Zero
I don't like most western RPGs
I don't like Final Fantasy
I don't like most JRPG's

I HATE strategic RPGs
I HATE RTSs
I HATE games that I need to constantly "click" with the cursor (Diablo, PoE, Torchlight, etc)

I LOVE the Dark Souls franchise but I never had the patience to get all trophies in any game
I LOVE Zelda, but TP, SS and MM are shitty
I LOVE Metroid, but never finished a Prime game
I LOVE DK, but other than the Country games they're all shit. I also think that Returns is the best DKC ever made (yes, including the SNES ones)

I NEVER had the balls to finish REmake with Chris
I NEVER had the balls to finish most horror games

I USED TO fap to Lara Croft, Misty, Chun-li, Cammy and Natasha from Goldeneye (those rectangular curves, ohhh man)

I cannot get into Witcher 3 no matter how hard I try and I'm being tempted into deleting it off my PS4 to save space.

I've never played a single MGS game and yet I've perused the wiki long enough to be able to piece together and remember most of it's convoluted story.

I tend to actively avoid first person games but mainly because I suffer from debilitating motion sickness, it's also the reason that I will probably never buy a VR headset as well.

I've played 100-200+ hours of Infamous: Second Son cause I love the gameplay that much .(pls bless us with a sequel Sucker Punch) I waited 10 years for FFXV and yet I find myself going back to playing Second Son instead of it cause Movement/traversal is so fun and easy.

I've had Bloodborne for a year now and I cannot get past the first area for the goddamn life of me. I've never played Dark Souls, and I don't think I will after my bouts with Bloodborne.

I've bought and played more PS2 games/used Playstaion Now for PS3 games than played new PS4 games.

The Xbox controller sucks ass to me and I cannot understand all the praise it gets from people.

I've tried to mod Skyrim 3 separate times in the past few years and I could not even get the game to boot and I was doing it right by the book the first few times.

I sold New Vegas after playing it for about 3 or so weeks game did nothing for me, and I've always enjoyed Fallout 3 way more.

I once got so pissed while playing One Piece Grand Adventure on Gamecube, I took the disc downstairs and spread jelly all over it. The game didn't really play right after that for obvious reasons.

Also, after beating Jak and Daxter for the first time (it was the first game I beat), I was fucking pissed at the idea that I still had other stuff in the game to do before I truly mastered it, so one time late at night, I was crying and begging my parents to trade the game in. I was a strange kid.

Also, I've never played a Bethesda or Bioware game.

I've never played a Zelda game before. Breath of the Wild will be my first.

Never played a Metroid game before, probably never will. The only Castlevania game I've played is the Lords of Shadow demo.

I legitimately wish I could enjoy Bethesda games, as their worlds seem really cool to explore, but they've been such a slog every time I've tried them I quit half an hour in. Plus Skyrim crashed on me in the first five minutes, still salty about that. I don't know if it counts as a gaming sin on GAF though.

I bought the Metroid Prime Trilogy 3 times (2 Wii, 1 Wii u). Haven't even played more than hour of Prime 1 everytime I played them.
Even had it for the GC.
In fact I haven't played nor finished any other Metroid game.......

Except for Other M.

I play a fair amount of games on easy these days, especially RPGs, as I'm often more interested in the story, characters, exploration and questing that the gameplay.

I summoned help on lots of bosses in Dark Souls 3. To not beat myself up too much, I did platinum Bloodborne with no summons. :D

I thought Metroid Other M was fine. Not great by any means, and vastly inferior to other games in the series (sans Hunters and Federation Force), but I had a good time with it.

I can't get into the GTA games. Dumped over 20 hour hours into GTA 3 and 4 and finally wrote off the series.

Ditto with Monster Hunter after over 20 hours into 4U and Generations.

• Never played RDR SP. just a bit of online. The whole western theme wasn't appealing to me back then. I know the whole story though. I'll play RDR2. Maybe lol

• I purchased DmC off PSN because I thought all the backlash was over the top stupid and I wanted to support the changes, but I've never played it. But if I was to ever play a dmc game it will be that before I ever touch the other ones.

• I use to boost on CoD.

• GTA 4's online >>>>>>>> GTA Online

• I had a 360 (I'm sorry Kaz)

• 360 controller sucks.

• I liked the PS3 controller, granted, I didn't love it because of the back button.

• I only use my Vite for YouTube and Watching tv shows and movies off websites. I love that OLED picture :)

• I hope N and MS platforms eventually die off and just become games makers releasing their titles on PlayStation. I welcome a monopoly run by Sony 'evil green ranger laugh'

• I never played the previous God of War games. I'm only playing the next one because of the emotional aspect being added.

• I avoid majority of Japanese games because I think their style of game making sucks. Only a few good ones over the years.

• I'm happy Deus Ex Mankind Divided bombed. I don't like Warren Spector.

All I can think of right now.

Made it up to the final boss on the arcade Alien vs. Predator a few times on one credit, but couldn't quite seal the deal. My biggest gaming failing, probably (although I intend to rectify it sooner or later).

I'm glad they shut down Irrational Games.

I tried to like Bioshock, but it's just so....so....horrible.....the world was amazing (only thing I liked), but the guns were so underpowered, the afterthought combat, and constant deaths and respawn spamming for big daddy battles. I just never felt scared of them like I was supposed to, thought they were dumb cause you could revive so easily. They had this amazing setting but did almost nothing with it!!! You stayed inside rapture the entire time!!! Where was my epic moment where I kill a big daddy and take his suit and explore on the ocean floor? Epic underwater shootouts and battles!? Nope it was rinse repeat gameplay with a little flair and a plot twist at the end.

I just don't get it. Some people's "GOAT"....seemed like a tech demo to me.

i always get angry when i lose a match online, but always deny it when asked about it

i ended up hacking every portable console i've had

i'm a huge fanboy and always deny it, but i know i am deep inside and it kills me

i hate skyrim, witcher and the elder scrolls

Played final fantasy viii at the end game i got seifer.. And people are amaze and asking how could you unlock him? I told them to collect all cards and items.. They never knew it was all thanks to a game shark...

I loathe playing with other people because my spoken English is horrible and every game I play is filled with Americans who will probably be assholes because of that detail. Or at the very least, will get them frustrated by trying to understand me, which is why I refuse to join a Community Thread in GAF.

I think co-op in Dark Souls is cheap and easy mode, yet I despise PVP.

Never beat Half Life 2 despite starting it over several times (got like 40 hours logged in that fucking game ffs)

Last Zelda game I finished was Ocarina of Time because I can't stand the ones that came out after.

I found Undertale to be unbearably annoying, and hard quit it after like 50 minutes.

I find the Genesis Sonic games to be mediocre at best.

I've restarted and tried to play through Persona 4 (and Golden) 10 times altogether, and I've never managed to fully beat it.

I found Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep to be boring and drab, and vastly prefer KH1 and KH2 over it.

I prefer GTA4 over San Andreas.

The best handheld Zelda is The Minish Cap, and all the other handheld Zeldas are kinda boring.

I cannot get into Witcher 3 no matter how hard I try and I'm being tempted into deleting it off my PS4 to save space.

Just do it, I was making a video of just how bad the AI and combat was but I just deleted it instead.

I also never got into SOTC, played maybe 20 minutes, just noped right out.

I use exploits in games I am bored with. (ie - have never used one cheat in any gta but have a LOT of money in GTA online)

this thread feels good.

I prefer GTA4 over San Andreas.

.

Did I say this thread feels good? I meant to say shut it down this thread is the devil.

- I've never played a Call of Duty or Battlefield game (except Battlefield one single player)
- In the entire MGS series I've played less than an hour of 1 and 2 combined and don't understand why the series is so beloved.
- I've only played one Zelda game long enough to beat it(Wind Waker)
- I missed almost all of gaming from late 2001 to late 2009 because of Race War Kingdoms, Final Fantasy XI, and World of Warcraft.
- I've only liked one game made by Platinum, Vanquish
- I don't believe GTAV is fun.
- I've never played a Gears of War game.
- Witcher 3 was boring to me and forced myself to play 25+ hours and was miserable the entire time.
- Played one Assassins creed game ever because it had pirates.
- I didn't cry at the beginning of The Last of Us
- Mass Effect 3 endings were just fine.

Despite being one of the biggest games of my childhood, I STILL have never defeated the Shadow Queen in TTYD :C

Went back and did a replay a few years ago and I still just couldn't do it... I swear it's impossible unless you use the "just upgrade BP" strategy (I put most of my upgrades into HP and FP).

I lost basically 2 complete gens (6th and 7th) because my mother didn't like games and consoles have always been SUPER expensive in here. I've always played on my friends consoles though and I've been getting up to date with some popular series since I grew up and could affor my own stuff (I mostly play on PC), but there's still so much I haven't played yet and I'd like to have more time for that, I use to feel like a "noob" sometimes seeing other people talk about games, lol.

Good thing: I ALWAYS have something to play. I have a big backlog on Steam and I always choose something from there when I want to play something with some specific "vibes". I never have to buy full price games because of that unless they are from Nintendo (which makes me think how I'll do for when I get switch, I really want it).

I've never really given a damn about Mario games outside of the original NES SMB trilogy as a tyke and Mario 64(mostly due to how novel it was at the time). I find the vast majority of the series to be an astronomical bore, same as most platformers I play.

Not too loud about it because it's like being the guy who doesn't like The Beatles or The Godfather, plus it has more to do with my overall indifference towards the genre than failings of the games themselves.

Wonderful 101 is one of the worst games I've ever played. I paid nothing for it (yay MK8 promotion), but I still felt ripped off. Deserved every single sale it didn't get, those people made the right choice. Legend of Korra was a better game by Platinum than W101.

Oh yeah, Other M is also totally a better game than Prime 2.

I bought The Wonderful 101 even though I had watched videos of the gameplay and thought I will never enjoy playing that game and even might not ever play a second of it.

I just like the colorful cover and the screenshots on the back cover so much that I like to have in on my shelf and imagine it being something completely different.

It's kinda like when I was a kid and used to spend hours in video rental stores just watching the video covers and the back cover pictures of the films and imagine them being something else they were (I think I spent at least 5 years thinking The Exorcist 3 is a movie about these horrifying stairs that probably lead to Hell or some other horror place - and there probably are all kinds of horror hands coming from some holes on the walls trying to grab the person walking the stairs).

In that same way the screenshots of The Wonderful 101 make me imagine way more interesting gameplay than what the actual game is. And that is solely the reason I bought the game. And I will probably never play it. But I'm happy to own it :)

I've bought Resident Evil 4 6 separate times and have never actually beaten it.

I don't like TLOU. At all. Not even remotely.

I think the mainline Kingdom Hearts games are actually the best games to come from Square Enix since the merger.

I enjoy playing No Man's Sky.

Although I adore Souls games I think Armored Core 2 is the best From software game.

I cannot enjoy playing Skyrim, GTA and the vast vast majority of other open world games. I lose any motivation to continue playing within an hour of starting a new game.

I think the Bayonetta games are horrible and incredibly cringe inducing.

For my sins I will say 13 Hail Miyamotos.

i have a Wiiu with Bayo 2 and W101 and have yet to jump on that

the first FF game i played was FF7........in 2006

all i can think of right now

EDIT: have Witcher 3 and havent played it yet

I love going on message boards and complain about games I never played.
/jk

I never platinum'd a game. Like ever.

I hardly finish games that I start unless I really enjoy it.

I purchased all Infamous games in the hopes that I'd like them cus that's the kind of game I should like but I never finished any because the games are just boring.

The cast of characters are also all shit. Cole is one of the worst characters in a game ever and Delsin is just shitty.

I hate the fact that this open world trend is ruining games. MGS5, Final Fantasy XV with open world western formula and I hope this Zelda doesn't fall into the same category

I love Metroid Other M. Come at me GAF.

Oh boy here we go

-i love bioshock infinite
-mass effect 1 is my favorite mass effect
-racist ashley williams is the best romance choice
-fallout 4 is my second favorite bethesda game
-uncharted is played best on easy mode
-ive never beaten a halo game on legendary
-i dont get the appeal of braid?
-im bad at the witness but i respect it.
-the first time i played mgs it was thw twin snakes edition
-i beat ff7 for the first time using the infinte refill health and mana cheats

I like Twin Snakes as well. Haters can go away.

Add one more to the list

I find the Souls games incredibly boring.

I find the current WWE games enjoyable and alway purchase them day one.

I prefer Fallout 3 and 4 over New Vegas

The only reason I'm considering playing the new Dead Rising is because they finally got rid of the timer.

Never got into the Final Fantasy series. Decided to grab FFXV. Even watched Kingsglaive and the anime series about Noctus' squad. I played up until I got the car and got bored. I'll probably revisit the game someday though.

I purchased on day one, completed, and got every collectible in New Super Mario Bros. 2. I will carry this weight on my back until my dying day.

I got more

I got put of gaming around 2001/2002 i think when i decided PS2 era was crap, i had Timesplitters with my ps2, dave mirras bmx and tekken tag that was it

I was too busy getting interested music and girls i was 20/21, my brother would rent out games weekly GTA San Andeas, Resident Evil 4 " i dont care little bro" i would say, "this is not my resident evil, it dont interest me", i disliked the Mortal Kombat games for the sytem and that was it a few other games i saw and i really wasn't pulled back in, so i ignored the rest of the ps2 era.

It would seem i missed a lot of good games, i later played quite a few i missed and i enjoyed them, oops.

I went from Intellivision to C64 and PC, with about a year of playing on the Genesis so I could play NHL 95, FIFA 95, and NCAA basketball 95 and then played nothing until PS2. Never played a Nintendo game until I was in my mid 30s, and as a consequence I find most of their stuff overly juvenile, gameplay aside. I find the whole world of Mario incredibly dumb. I don't really consider it a "sin" in any way though, just circumstance of when I encountered it. Those who enjoy it, more power to you.

I find JRPGs pretty tedious.

If there is a sin in my gaming life, it's wasting money on stuff I never get around to playing, or starting and not finishing.

I should also ask forgiveness of the C64 developers whose games I pirated in the 80s. A friend of mine gave me a stack of games on floppy disk and my mind was blown that you could get games so easily.
