so... is it gory? Any tits?
Reviews make it sounds it like it's quite brutal and bloody, with some gore even. But pretty light in terms of sex and swearing.

More praise for the stuntwork from MTV's summary of the first few episodes
The stunts are just incredible
- No CGI here, folks: not only are all the fight sequences performed by actual humans, but theyre also filmed beautifully and often in agonizingly intense tracking shots. If the rest of the series is as riveting as these first few episodes, youre going to be on the edge of your seat the entire time.

We gon' eat.
not familiar with daredevil. how does he fight? Brawler, nimble martial artists etc?
In its first episodes, Daredevil doesn't dare get into some of the character's crazier aspects: his ninja training or his flagpole-leaping. He only once handles anything resembling a billy club, and his heightened senses are handled with smart simplicity: He concentrates in close-up, and the sound designers let us know what he hears, or he tells us what he smells. What's most encouraging is that the show's sometimes punishing seriousness seems to rise from a love of the character's hard-to-swallow aspects rather than a fear of them: Goddard and company seem to be building up to them rather than taking them as a given. I look forward to seeing what their Daredevil's like when they get him there.
The ways in which Daredevils heightened senses are handled continue to help this stylistic appeal. Charlie Coxs ability to be in tune with sound cues creates a harmony of death on the screen. The show gives the visual equivalent of a insert panel with a heightened SFX track to embody Daredevil in the moment, but never over does it. Instead its used sparingly in moments of need.
Netflixs Daredevil is nothing like any of the superhero shows before it. Its more of a crime drama with a vigilante than anything, and for those reasons its refreshing. Its different, and its a bold step in the right direction for Marvel. Its nothing short of a masterpiece meticulously crafted on every level.
I should hope that it's a crime drama with a vigilante, that's what Daredevil is. He's just a super badass vigilante.

There naturally looms the possibility that something could go horribly wrong quality-wise in the final eight episodes of Daredevils first season, but the first five lay down such an epically gripping and shocking foundation that its truly hard to imagine things taking a negative turn. Its smart, entertaining, and has moments so shocking that youll have to repress screams.
ALL OF THEM!Sounds fantastic. I dunno how many episodes I can watch in just one day XD
Hype explosion!
Devin Faraci is such a dumbass.

What was the last western tv show with good hand to hand fight choreography?
He's like Batman but with billy clubs.

And the authors actually let him get the shit beat out of him. A lot.
A lot.
Batman gets his ass kicked all the time bro.
The Daredevil series, at least based on the first five installments, is one of the best encapsulations of a lot of superheroic themes that Ive seen thus far in live-action. It features a deeply flawed hero, whose mission is painfully open-ended and whos in danger of losing his soul in the fight against people massively more powerful than himself. Its a must-watch, not just for fans of the comic or of superhero comics, but for anyone who loves great action movies or great heroic narratives.
It's beautifully shot (if a bit dark at times), with a look that is far more True Detective than the perpetually sunny Agents of SHIELD. It even feels more cinematic than several of Marvel's theatrical offerings. The first two episodes, for example, are directed by Phil Abraham, who has several episodes of Mad Men to his directing credit, but who also served as cinematographer on dozens of episodes of The Sopranos, which may help explain this show's distinctly HBO-ready look.
If this is the level of quality we can expect from future Marvel Netflix series AKA Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and The Defenders, then I suspect we're in for a special couple of years. Daredevil is the first superhero TV project that truly feels like it's aiming higher. Don't make any other plans when it's time to start watching.
