IMO the highlight of the game, especially when solo.

Ah he wasn't there.. but maybe I went back too quick. ThanksLordCanti said:By the original sorcerer. Near the stairs up to undead burg.
Game just crashed on me >< first time.

A question about Londo: What happens if I. I've been hitting a four king's related wall for hours now. Need something else to do.kill Gwyndolin? Does that open up more gameplay options?
As far as I know, not really but apparently if you've joined the DarkWraith covenant you get some information about the pygmy.Riposte said:Does the "furtive pygmy" from the intro appear in the game?

I'm SL8, got to the place with the boar and decided to summon a Phantom. He looked like a starting level character, like me, so everything was fine.
Then I got invaded. And the invader had a.dragon head
We backstabbed him at least 4 or 5 times and his health didn't seem to drop much...needless to say he killed us both.
I thought invaders were supposed to be pretty much the same level as you!? What the hell happened?
Also now the gate behind that place is opened and thedisappeared. Thanks, I guess?dragon

The store I went to today says EVERY shipment is selling out on the same day they get it. They are getting 50 every day or two.

Just straight up constant bad design from one place to another... slowly but surely becoming a 5/10 for me and one of the biggest disappointments in recent history.
I died once in blighttown, and it was my fault. The framerate was obnoxious but it never felt like a hindrance. You just have to take it slowly, just like everything else in the game.Darkness said:Blighttown is the first time in a DS game where I feel my deaths are the games fault. Frame rate is so bad at points. Throw in a bunch of fast moving dudes on tiny paths, ugh.
Started over, remember? 60 hours on first character and 70 hours on this one.NBtoaster said:Wow I thought you had finished it.
I've only played up to the gaping Dragon so far but it seems like GOTY to me.
Curious what the overall impression people on NG+ have.

Risible said:You no doubt were the lucky recipient of an invasion by a cheating asshole.
There's aninvolving the Dragon's Head. If you know your way around the game you can get it fairly early on. No doubt your invader got it at a low level and then used the souls to max his gear out but not his level. Now he's spending his days being a dick and invading low-level players with his super maxxed out gear.infinite souls exploit
If that's you and you are reading this, know that you are a total douche. For reals.

moonspeak said:Lost Izalith is indeed really bad. I had my first "holy crap i'm about to throw my controller" moment when I tried getting to that first bonfire. I literally had to quit, do something else for 20 minutes then go back to it. The boss was a bit of a headache too, albeit kinda interesting and different from the other boss fights.
Crystal Cave isn't really that bad, imo and especially once you know the route then it's a straight trip to the boss.
The rest of the areas that I've been through so far have been amazing, imo. So much detail and variety. I have to hand it to From for the level of detail in the game. Like how you can seedown below from looking down in thethe Demon Ruins/Lost Izalithor how when you first get toTomb Of The Giantsyou can see statues of the impending bosses you're about to fight. Just a few examples of things I've noticed in the game. Every area feels cohesive and connected in this world yet feeling very unique and varied at the same time.Anor Londo
I finished this fight last night and it took me at least an hour, and probably a good 10 tries. I refused to do it with any help and I found it to be the most difficult fight I've ever had in a Souls game, especially since my character is melee only.luka said:Yessssss. Yeah that seems really petty.DigitalDevil said:I know this seems petty, but is anyone else pissed off about the Namco Bandai loading screen for this game? It's like, dark, ominous, black, then BLINDING WHITE BANDAI SCREEN, then back to dreary, black ominous. I mean, come on! Why did you have to fuck up the whole initial start up of the game? Couldn't pick a different background color? Ugh.

DigitalDevil said:lol, I figured as much, but it still bothers me. Every time I start up the game I think about it.
Who knows, maybe it will bother me too now that I'm thinking about it!DigitalDevil said:lol, I figured as much, but it still bothers me. Every time I start up the game I think about it.
THE Caffeinated said:So Blight Town is the worst area in the history of video games. Ever. Fuck.
I truly do hope that this is just my case but I've been checking out what people think and it seems to be a pretty universal thing.Glorious_Paradox said:Wow, that sounds pretty bad indeed. Now you have me intrigued to try those areas out. I find it pretty hard to believe the drop in level design quality can be that dramatic (not doubting you, just saying)... Although it is possible that they simply ran out of time and rushed some areas to meet their deadline.
If that's the case then it will be a real shame![]()
The map design, enemy layout and spawn placement is made by an intern. It's completely rushed in every way, shape and form.slasher_thrasher21 said:Whats so bad about the later areas that makes you feel this way?
