Same case could be made for Kojima's team. It really works both ways. Same for VF5 team. Same for Square. Same for BioWare releasing non-Xbox 360 console games, etc.

The PS3 doesn't even exist yet...why in the hell would we hear rumblings about games going multi-platorm toward the PS3 if the install base at the moment is ZERO? Secondly, market share numbers are incorrect...In the battle for Next-Gen the 360 has 100% of the market...where are they getting 17% from?

I'm quite sure that once the PS3 launches, we'll start to hear more and more about multi-platform releases. Until then...

Well, I'd say Fatal Frame is a cert to be one of them.

But I thought it was more significant that after pushing the whole "sony isn't telling us enough", "we don't know much about it" line, he's apparently taken a more neutral approach, which suggests Tecmo is in the loop now, and presumably happy with what it sees. I wonder how Itagaki feels about him singling PS3 out for its "visual power" too

Please. The commentary on more games going from PS3 exclusive to multiplatform started well before the X360 was even on the market. The logic has always been predicated largely off current gen marketshare breakdown for each system and extrapolations on how that will shift for their next gen successors.

Personally, i think putting DOA4 on PS3 would be great for Tecmo. It's not like DOA hasn't been on other platforms before, and it'll give sony fans the chance to play what is a good game.

But looking at this again, this looks like a round up page of peoples thoughts or plans for the coming year. Some things suddenly jump out.

1) They don't know much about the PS3 and, more interestingly, the revolution

-- wouldn't this imply a pre TGS time frame ? I mean, anyone interviewed after TGS would certainly know what the crux of the revolution is?

2) the release date - it's still down as 12/10. So - this definitely isn't something written in the last 6 weeks.

3) the source seems to be a 2ch post that was picked up by a chinese game site. Doesn't really give any details as to the age of the source etc...

So..... old?

I seem to recall back in the day that this same shit happened with DOA3 and how it wound up on XBox. There were rumours for a good year AFTER its release that it was 100% for sure coming to ps2, right up until an interview with Itagaki proved this wrong once and for all.

I'm going out on a limb and saying it's staying xbox 360 exclusive. It's fun to speculate though!
