Dead Space 2 PS3 Multiplayer Beta Invites Going Out - [Update2: More Going Out 9/29]

Ok guys...

So I have been trying to get codes and I have some. I am going to PM the first set I got to the people on the (neogaf) sign up list in order starting now.

Technically you're not supposed to talk about it (it's part of the beta agreement) but I won't report you :)

If you're talking about that Google spreadsheet, could you delete me from it? I signed up, but then remembered I'm studying abroad for a year starting Monday so I won't have acces to my PS3 for that time.:D Sorry for the trouble.

The first thing I do when I get back is buy Dead Space 2, Codecow!

Ok guys I sent out 37 of them out of the 40 I have (in case I made some mistakes, I had to do those by hand). If nobody reports fails to me I will send out the last 3 from that set.

There were about 4-5 people out of the first set of 37 who weren't receiving PMs so I skipped you, sorry.

I ended up on 43 as the next guy to get a code (devon the dude).

Yeah, I noticed shagg_187's name was missing the underscore in the list. :( He corrected it, but ended up way further down the list.

Thanks codecow, played a few matches.


Here are some thing that bugged me:

-Map was too small.
-Baby monsters not being able to jump high enough to reach ledges.
-Crazy camera angles when playing the porcupine monster.
-Spitter monsters hard to aim with when shooting acid.

Will play more later when I get back from work.
 
I'll have to give this a fair shake again. The other night when I first played I was getting housed by some guy (entire team was) and it was just not fucking fun. I love the idea/concept and the gameplay was great but I felt some things were balanced improperly. I'll give it a go again. It does get me super pumped for the new game though, god damn I love this universe.
 
Oops, I misread Codecow's post at the top of this page thinking he said first people to PM him get a code. I saw it and rushed to PM him, then read the post properly. Sorry, just ignore my PM.
 
i'm not getting my hopes up. but i if i get one... i'll play the shit out of the game, and post comments and concerns to EA. I've got one week off school, and what better way to spend it?

None of those things bugged me... and the spitters are -not- hard to aim with at all...

It's alright. Is it intended that aliens get blown to pieces frequently? Seems like the only way to play as aliens to to just run into a pack of Isaac's and get ripped to shreds while chipping away bit by bit. If so it's kind of a pain that you have a k/d ratio.

Not really, I've been able to kill one Human, then run away and wait for some more Necros to attack and then come back in (using Pack, the dead babby). If you go one on one running straight at the enemy's gun (or worse, against a whole group of humans) you're probably not going to make it.
