What?
The non-standard approach to this totally goes against the rumor that the NX is aimed at being able to play games at the same level as the Xbone.I could see playing Fallout 4 on this, easily. What's so far-fetched about that?
Yeah, the trigger replacement is weird. It's just two really small nubs on the top.The face buttons can easily be replicated, but the lack of any triggers could be a problem.
You see it now?
Ergonomically, that looks extremely uncomfortable.
I guess that's possible. Sounds like another nightmare to get third parties on board with.Or an attachment for the controller &/or handheld itself that adds more traditional buttons.
To me it's clear as day. I see the eye and the nose, and the eye is looking right at the camera.
Yes, they can. Just copy the Xbone controller. If true: Nintendo please just give up already...Just copy the DS4, you can't get any better.

??? They already did better with the Pro Controller.
I don't know if anyone has already noticed but there seems to be 3 buttons besides the B button.
This still doesn't change the fact that I am TeamFake.

There is absolutely no way someone is going to be playing CoD, Sports games, etc. with having to rely with emulated buttons that are to the bottom-left of the right thumb stick.
And if they aren't emulated buttons, why does the display blow out/make the button hard to see?
Like how are you supposed to play, claw-style with your right hand?

My guess is paddles. Buttons died in 2014.The non-standard approach to this totally goes against the rumor that the NX is aimed at being able to play games at the same level as the Xbone.

Right about this being real, or at the very least a prototype.Right about what? Seems like most people hope its fake is all...
It doesn't even have to be a screen for this sort of thing. Custom Arcade Boards follow the same sort of functionality, just put a crisp picture underneath a clear cover.

Everything Nintendo has done lately points to the idea that they are not going in this direction. They don't care that you can't play Xbone games with this controller, they aren't trying to court the CoD audience. At some point people need to accept that.
It's bizarre how hard some people in this topic are trying to believe this. Every argument has some random counter that doesn't even make sense.
Like posting random Nintendo prototypes as if that validates... anything? Somehow?
And yet none of those prototypes would have ever been seen by anybody outside of Nintendo's R&D/upper NCL management anyway, let alone some random guy risking massive repercussions to post a single enormously shitty JPG on Reddit.
Or posting Wii U patents forgetting that they were filed after the reveal and were patents on the core design of the entire controller, NOT random pre-reveal patents on specific concept, and ignoring the fact that we've seen completely different designs for potential NX controllers to demonstrate other concepts.
Or posting people's reactions to the GamePad and Wii Remote reveals for... some reason?
It's all random unrelated "counters" that do nothing to prove this isn't spectacularly fake, and just show people are bizarrely willing to cling on to some bullshit rumor with non-existent sourcing because uh... because.
It's already like, conspiracy theory logic.
When the controller is revealed and it looks nothing like this:
"Well, obviously it was just a prototype, so of course it would look different."
When the prototype designs are revealed during a developer interview:
"Well, naturally they had several designs, they probably wouldn't spend time showing all of them."
Looks like an awful gimmick...so it might be legit.
So it could just be a paper overlay?
I still don't get the E.T. reflection being there. I mean, I see it, but don't get why it is there.
Cabbage patch kids have small eyes right beside the nose. The eye in the shadow is much bigger and to the side of the two nose holes.Eh, the reflection looks more like a Cabbage Patch Kid to me.
OK, you convinced me.
It's not irrational when Nintendo themselves struggled to come up with a reason for why that screen in the middle should exist until it was too late. The thing felt half baked.
PaddlesThere is absolutely no thought into the controller though.
Which is kinda the point of what Nintendo has been doing since the GC.
Just throwing out "Nintendo is non-standard" doesn't make things make sense.
How are you going to play even Mario 1-1 by having the buttons awkwardly placed to the lower left corner of the right-analog stick. Better question, how are you going to hold it.
The fact that there seems little thought put into the controller reeks something a fan threw up.
