He's getting help from proper screenwriters this time around so the writing should hopefully be much better.
Really? You could have fooled me. That dialogue is so stiff and laughably clichéd.

Is this the technoir blade runner like game ive been waiting for?

I, too, want to know this -- but playing a cyberpunk detective is kinda more appealing (to me) than playing another Jodie. Guess what I'm trying to say is - I dig Connor
Maybe I just have bad expectations but I don't see how it was bad or cringey.
Jesus, that was bad.
No hype at all for this, it feels like each game they make gets worse XD
Looks to be a spiritual successor to Heavy Rain. Fortunately, I like Heavy Rain.
While I enjoyed beyond, that was one of my issues with it so I'm even more excited. There will definitely be more. It's one of the main things they have in mind with Detroit
Yes this is indeed it. I know for a fact they listed to people complaining about Beyond and its lack of drastic branching and they try to address that. They hired multiple writers specifically to handle the increase in workload coming from increased branching
I was shocked how great this looked. Sci find detective thriller with your decisions affecting everything.
Blade Runner/I, Robot vibes.
Has this been done in gaming a lot?Nice to see every generic android / robot SciFi trope on display.
It wasn't.
People are full of shit when it comes to David Cage. I know that in theory you could say it's objective, but no it's not. When you have that many people "loving" doubtful telltale games and Until Dawn, then shitting at anything Cage makes, you know they're biased and are not even giving it a chance.
I doubt you really need to worry about that. I'm pretty sure the voice acting will actually become less monotone the more "alive" Connor getsStill excited for it, but some of that voice acting is awful. Beyond's voice acting was pretty solid from what I recall, so this feels like a step backward.
The issue is more unreasonable trolling and shitting on without having seen anything substantial. It's fine to be cautious based on past experiences you personally had, but just constantly shitting on something is really annoying when you can just ignore his games completely and should if there is no way you will ever like one. Not saying you are one of those, just that there are a fair share bit of Cage haters on here that constantly try to derail every threadI don't think "objectivity" is ever a point of contention. I a person subjectivity like Telltale Games more than David Cage games, what's the problem?
I am wondering, Is he the main character or just one of the main characters?
Because when the game was announced it showcased a different character:
I am thinking that the game is going to have multiple characters that you play as (Like Heavy Rain).
I hope they didn't scrap the Kara character or story and she's still a part of it.
Cause it's the same line Kara used in the first trailer. It's supposed to be a throwback confirming there are multiple protagonists and this is "their story". You can expect that for the next character as well they unveil.
