Don't think like that. You have to wait and see what SMT4 turns out like. That will tell us if there is any integrity left.

Thought it hasn't worked out like they wanted until P3. Persona was always meant to be their mainstream cash cow.

Well, considering that Atlus is still pumping out stuff like Devil Summoner 2 and Devil Survivor, I wouldn't lose hope. Remember: Shin Megami Tensei III came out NINE YEARS after SMTII.

Did you ever check out the old Devil Summoner 2 review thread Bebpo (I believe that's his name) posted a while back? Outside of the battle system the game might be the closes thing to old school smt... Even compared to smt3.

I think they just have to announce SMT4. They risk diluting the Persona brand if they try another rehash. The series, though gaining in popularity, is still pretty niche as it is. Give us SMT 4 Atlus.

By the way, DS2 in 2 weeks. We'll be needing an official thread.

I'm kind of surprised no reviews for the game are out yet, one week from release. Who is going to do the official thread? I think the title should note that it is basically the final (exclusive) PS2 game of any significance.
