Because there's really nothing to nitpick if you consider resolution AND performance? You all can guess as to why.
-Ultra textures on PS5/XSX and high on XSS.
-TAA on all versions.
-Shadow in high on XSX, medium on PS5 and low on XSS.
-60fps on PS5 & 50-60fps on XSX/S.
-No RT.
-Faster loading times on PS5.
Why put a resolution advantage directly in the title (Xbox) and not a performance advantage as well (PS5)? Not trying to start a war, genuinely wanting to know
Because the console that was hyped to all hell to have a massive GPU advantage finally shows a small advantage in one game? This thread will be eerily quiet compared to the Valhalla one.
You all can guess as to why.
Because it's not a real performance advantage, if the Series X only drops frames in one area of game... which could be the result of glitch or some other hitch and is not indicative of performanc. DF points things out like this so devs can fix it.Why put a resolution advantage directly in the title (Xbox) and not a performance advantage as well (PS5)? Not trying to start a war, genuinely wanting to know
They will talk about it.
One X is 1440p so I assume Pro is either 1440p or lower
in that one area. They say its pretty much 60 most of the time.It drops to 40fps on XSX when aiming in that video.
You forgot the resolution part which was the key thing DF tweeted.-Ultra textures on PS5/XSX and high on XSS.

Hey numbers are numbers, everyone can see the difference on a 24" tv and a 75" tv the same! The real question is if the difference on resolution is evident without pixel counting.
Still drops unlike the PS5.it that one area. They say its pretty much 60 most of the time.

whenever there is foliage or alpha particles in the game. shooting through a sniper rifle or sneaking through foliage. thankfully you can only do those things in one level. When does it drop frames?
Still drops unlike the PS5.
40fps is pretty bad.
Overall id call this face off a tie.
Not really. XSX has fps dips not seen on PS5, I'd praise the tools if XSX was locked 60 while rendering at native 4K.p.s looks like the tools have arrived.
At least donate it.So I guess I'll just throw my Playstation 5 down from my balcony and buy Xbox Series X then.
Nope.Still drops unlike the PS5.
40fps is pretty bad.

Not necessarily We'll have to wait to find if it is a bug or a bottleneck. I believe that the aiming with the scope (drops to 40-50fps) is a bug but walking through the fields and seeing consistent prolonged drops to low-mid 50s is a bottleneck and not just a bug. That pretty much proves that if PS5 is running at that much higher FPS that it can easily handle higher settings
When you zoom on rifles and during moments where a lot of alpha effects are on screen. When does it drop frames?
You're trying too hard.
because "it drops frames" in 1 second of one area and one small part of one level. that's it. It doesn't drop frames 99.9999% of the time you're playing it.I have no idea why this didn't end the whole thread.
Just, no. You again talk like it wavers often, .01% of the time or less is not "wavers" in general. Game is fine on both systems, play it on whatever you own the first two on (if you do).So 60fps locked on PS5. XBOX wavers below 60. PS5 wins again. They need to lower Xbox's resolution. Knowing DF, I expect that the framerate on Xbox goes below 50fps in more thorough tests, which I'm sure Vgtech will point out.
20fps isn't straw clutching. But we'll never know what the PS5 would drop too if it was actually running 4k, no? Because it isn't. Serious straw clutching here.
Really?!
PS5 takes this one
Solid 60fps vs drops as low as 40fps lolz
Series runniing 4K native at high shadow rendering. Fact PS5 running medium shadows is plenty of evidence it can't hit 4k native!ps5 cant hit 4k? yikes.
Patched how? By lowering shadows or resolution?Seems to be a glitch that will be patched in the future.
