Yes guys we get it you don't want anybody to enjoy their Switch
I don't think this tactic is working though
Don't worry though when I'm playing and enjoying wolfenstein I'll be sure to pour one out for all the very concerned pixel counting posters ITT
No.
We want people to play games the way they are meant to be played. Mario Kart doesn't run at 30fps when in handheld mode, same with splatoon. If they were given more time and maybe a little bit more money from Nintendo to make a specific version like what they did with NBA2K, it might be a different game, but the things that matter the most would be prioritized.
Even if it looks like a more cartoony version with a different renderer, and was sub 720p as long as the shooting stayed at 60 fps the core of the feel and gameplay wouldn't be compromised.
Because now change in pacing, reaction time, animation speeds for actions, and what not are going to playout differently. It may resemble doom in it's weapons, monsters, but it won't play as frantic as doom does on PS4/ XBOX. And to me thats what matters most.
From what I've seen the urgency of quick action is not there, it's now more paced instead of being split decision/reaction time, which is what doom is all about.
