Black Hawk Down. I liked Matchstik Men a lot actually when I saw it.
Also was Kingdom of Heaven DC that much better? I never any but I am curious.

no, really, can we just skip ahead to Bladerunner vs Alien?

Kingdom of Heaven DC was the best movie of 2005. Thats how much of a change it is.

I'll vote for Matchstick Men as he gives up the movie at the 1/2 way point.

Scott directed Legend when he still had the balls to tackle unique and interesting projects.

...and he did so to no boxoffice reciepts. Give him a break if audiences don't want unique and interesting. I also think Legend is a movie with no audience anyway. Its a fairy tale that is photographed too beautifully and artistically for children to follow and it is also far too grim for them to watch.

I prefer Gladiator and Kingdom of Heaven to both of those, so no. I'm sure I'm in the minority, but I don't zOMG love Blade Runner. It's got interesting art design and some good performances, and I certainly think it's a quality movie, but I don't get the stiffy for it that a lot of film geeks and fellow GAFfers have.

Come on, some more votes! Matchstick Men and Legend are far too close in votes to have me pick a winner when it can swing either way rather easily.

I dont get what people have against Matchstick Men. It's charming and funny movie. Cage is brilliant.
It's a very enjoyable movie, all 7 remaining are enjoyable. It is just the least-so of those left.

There we go! Matchstick Men is gone.

8. Thelma & Louise
7. Matchstick Men

New Round:

Alien (1979)
Blade Runner (1982)
Legend (1985)
Gladiator (2000)
Black Hawk Down (2001)
Kingdom of Heaven (2005)
(This is for the DIRECTOR'S CUT, not the critically panned theatrical cut)

My vote is for Black Hawk Down.

I have a question, why isnt Hannibal on the list? I bet more people have seen it than Legend. Even I havent seen Legend and I love Sir Ridley :lol

Btw I vote Legend again, if thats okay.

i was hoping you'd counter with something that was so emo that it would make me want to kill myself, cajole

Would vote off

Thelma and Louise
Black Hawk Down
Kingdom of Heaven
Legend

in that order. But since I can choose only one, it's gotta be Thelma and Louise.

You find the DC of KoH worse than Legend? Crazy, sir!
