Blackhawk Down, I hope the OP isn't taking the people who've admitted to not having watched their selections into account.

...and he did so to no boxoffice reciepts. Give him a break if audiences don't want unique and interesting.

Of all the famous directors, he's the most far removed from his original stylings and work, the work which garnered him the most acclaim. His movies are painfully average now.

Legend and Black Hawk Down are currently tied. :lol

I am not counting one vote for Legend however because they admitted to never seeing it. This is going to be VERY hard to track when it comes time for Kingdom of Heaven to get some votes due to the cut for this list being never shown in theaters.

Well yeah. All someone has to do is just say the movie name and NOT give flavor text saying they haven't seen it. You can't stop that - you just have to hope people aren't asshats.

Though if someone just had it out for Kingdom of Heaven they would have voted for it by now.

Also, FYI, I liked the theatrical cut better than the ones voted off so far / am voting for this round. The director's cut was just so much gravy to me.

Legend is out NEW ROUND. I wonder what will go lolol

8. Thelma & Louise
7. Matchstick Men
6. Legend

Alien (1979)
Blade Runner (1982)
Gladiator (2000)
Black Hawk Down (2001)
Kingdom of Heaven (2005)
(This is for the DIRECTOR'S CUT, not the critically panned theatrical cut)

My vote is for Black Hawk Down

Black Hawk Down < Blade Runner < Gladiator < Alien < Kingdom of Heaven D.C. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. Though Legend > Black Hawk Down as well.

Like I said, I <3 KoH: DC, like a lot.

Alien is absolutely amazing, especially with the extended scenes I felt.

Gladiator won Oscars and all the critical praise and moolah. I like it quite a bit. Still, don't like it as much as the two above it.

Blade Runner gets all the nerd cred - and to be fair, it deserves it, but I just... how to say this, I never really felt the movie. Like, in the same connotation as "I'm not feelin' it, man." It's definitely better than Black Hawk Down. Just not one of my favorite movies, unlike the other three.

So Black Hawk Down this round and every other round until it dies.

I'd say it is pretty hard to call films as epic and photographically and directorially complex as Gladiator, Black Hawk Down, and Kingdom of Heaven average. He has kept his photography and style the exact same as it ever was. You can see the same shot concepts and ideas in The Duelists as in any of his recent films. His eye for production design is evey bit as detailed today as it was in Blade Runner and Alien it is just that the subject matter has changed. I'd actually say he hasn't changed at all.

Black Hawk Down.

Never saw Legend, but reading on it, seemed like a semi-interesting concept that was utterly botched up.

Black Hawk Down is gone.

8. Thelma & Louise
7. Matchstick Men
6. Legend
5. Black Hawk Down

New Round
Alien (1979)
Blade Runner (1982)
Gladiator (2000)
Kingdom of Heaven (2005)

Since it is getting close, I need to mention the fact. You MUST state which version of Kingdom of Heaven you are basing your vote on if/when you choose to vote it off. If you don't I will not count it! Since the theatrical and director's cut of the film are totally different films I feel this is necessary.

My vote:
GLADIATOR!
