Not sure if this is an official picture. But saw it on a Dissidia page on Facebook.

Cool! and lol they used Yshlotas current look, probably since stormblood is around the corner.

I wish there would be more skills for each character. There weren't many when I tried the arcade version. Cloud doesn't even have Omnislash

The outfit is better than her OG.

it is, but it seems odd since usually the characters appear in their original look, look at cloud as a example.

He does, its one of his HP attacks, its probably his most popular one.

EDIT: https://youtu.be/JbqWrnyvAUA?list=PLHBNHhyL-uWl8L9_qnRIiwxEC_3xdbRLA&t=150 his full moveset, I posted the tiem stamp when omnislash pops up.

I don't really like the way Shantotto looks like in this game.
Her head isn't nearly as big or round as it was in FFXI.

(not my image, btw)

And after:

Just... no.

To be honest, the majority of the cast actually turn me off after they received makeovers by Nomura.

The original is nightmare fuel. Those soulless eyes stare right through you.

You do realize Nomura was the original character designer for FFXI, right?

The original one looks really bad. I honestly can't think of a single design that isn't better in Dissidia.

I'll accept the differences, considering designs from XI's original release weren't too expressive - and in the arcade version her facial animations do a good job of showing what a nasty piece of work she can be: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kYybGZ-w6Dw

Not sure if this is an official picture. But saw it on a Dissidia page on Facebook.
They even added "Exclusively on" PS4 right on top of it.
Square Enix never wrote that before except the box art logo on top right only on playstation, but this part is likely more on Sony's end as even they get their own games exclusivity labels mixed up alot on box art labels

Yeah, Dissidia's Shantotto "redesign" is clearly superior.

Edit: Noctis should be on that with the rest of them. I know he's not officially revealed yet, but he's a lot of people's first Final Fantasy experience, a great marketing opportunity.

They can update the picture once he has been revealed.

There is so much going on with the HUD of this game.
Yep, I hope they fix that.

I wonder when they will reveal Noctis
Maybe at E3?

Haven't been fortunate enough to play the arcade version but I'm hyped for this. Would be cool to have a remastered first two Dissidia's on PS4.

Which Dissidia Design tho? I like Dissidia/D12 design

I like em both honestly!

And I just realised that there is now a official US website for Dissidia!

https://www.dissidiafinalfantasynt.com/en-us/#characters

It also shows that they are changing the character class/type names:

Heavy = Vanguard
Speed = Assassin
Shoot = Marksman
Unique = Specialist

This was probably done to make it more understandable and appealing for a competitive audience, really hope this gets a good competitive push by Squeenix.

Not sure if a website if new thread worthy.

Shantotto in Dissidia looks more like a lalafell than a tarutaru.

Either way I'm super excited to play some Dissidia again. I'm really tempted to get a Vita now to play some 012...

Looks like 1-on-1 mode is a demo thing only - shame, could have been interesting for training, certain story mode moments, quick sparring...

I call bullshit on that. They aren't going to put a whole mode in the game just to demo at trade shows. I think it'll be available, even if it's just a training mode.

I don't know if I'm reading this wrong but it seems like the game doesn't even have a proper story mode. Seems like you can play against the AI, which is something, I guess.

The PlayStation 4 version of Dissidia Final Fantasy has the story and world-view of the arcade version of the game. Again, there won’t be a mode that’s just for the story, as the versus mode is still the main attraction for Dissidia Final Fantasy NT. Think of it as a story that unravels on its own as you go through battles.

While battling is the main attraction of Dissidia Final Fantasy NT, they’re making it into a game that can be played by those who aren’t the best at versus games. You’ll also get to choose the CPU difficulty, as well as rules that give it more of party game feel and can only be done on PS4.

If this is the case, I'm greatly disappointed as the sp stuff was one of the biggest draws for me. You could spend hundreds of hours in it.

I'm not a FF fan nor have I ever beaten any of the mainline games. However, Dissidia 012 is still my favorite PSP title (it was a totally random purchase for me). I'll definitely get this.

I'm not trying to make any excuse for the company but we have to remember the fact that Dissidia NT isn't made by same team who did first two games. I already expect single player contents being gone which is unfortunate.

That looks...messy. The faces also look really weird on some characters like Tidus and Bartz. I feel like Cloud is the only design that was improved in this game.

The original one looks really bad. I honestly can't think of a single design that isn't better in Dissidia.

Bartz? Squall? Tidus? They all look terrible compared to their original designs. At least WOFF knew which designs looked the best.
