Do you judge other members based on their avatar?

There are a few that actually have caused me to be more judgemental of their posts.

The porn face guys, mlp dudes, the purposefully fabulous pop gaf avatars, chibi and loli dudes, Disney channel creepers, and... this one specific user. They have an avatar that is hard to specifically describe. It is the face of some creepy dude that looks like his face is lifeless, and he is starting directly at whoever snapped the picture.

I try not to, but there are really some avatars I cannot stand.
Like this one?

Yes, absolutely.
Especially "Cyclops was right." ones.

Is this the avatar you're talking about?

Folks with my little pony avatars. What's that about?

No I don't really pay attention to a persons avatar. Ever since .gifs stopped being used for avatars I stopped really looking at a persons avatar.

Nah. It just feels more reasonable to form an opinion of any individual here by looking at the content of their posts. I dunno. I do like to imagine avatars saying the post though, but it doesn't really work if there's no character or face in the avatar.

Honestly, I recognize people more by their avatars than their names.

So when someone who's had an avatar for years abruptly changes it, it shakes me up all of a sudden.

I'm not a big fan of sports avatars (just because I don't like sports in general), but I never judge anyone based on it. Not even MLP / Anime gets to me. :-P

Sometimes. It's hard for me to look at someone's posts as unbiased or not skewed when they are figuratively wearing their preferences on their sleeves (DAY ONE 2013 avatars, Kaz/Cerny avatars, Nintendo character avatars, etc).

Lol is it this one? I couldn't decide on anything so i just got the first thing that came to mind, i barely post anyway. It's not a real picture, just a cover to an album i was hyped for.

Recently, I've started to read the contents of the post before I look to see who posted.

I think it's much easier to take a post on its own merit, this way.

Well this is an internet forum where people can be entirely anonymous if they desire so it's hard to not judge a person based on their avatar just so you get a small idea of what they're like (or what they like). It's a snapshot of you for the world.

I have avatars disabled though. Makes Gaf look more professional and people stick out because of what they post.

Unless it's something grotesque, avatars don't really bug me. Post content is enough to do that.

Avatars with things I like get bonus points, at least until I read the post content.
