Not at all! I enjoyed Mario Kart World and DK Bonanza. I know I'll pick up a ton of Nintendo exclusives going forward.

I have a PC and PS5 for the rest.

We're also in the age of unpredictable hardware pricing, so no need to wait.

FUCK NO! Mario Kart World and DK Bananza was great

And new Fire Emblem games announced.

Also I go where Monolith Soft goes.

lol it's a marathon not a sprint.

Also if you put away $5.95/mo during the last 7 years of the Switch generation then you'd have your $500 to buy the Switch 2.

Yes and No.

I've enjoyed playing the Zelda games with some nice spit and polish, but I haven't yet played, been interested in enough, or loved anything specifically for the Switch 2 yet. MKW was fun for a short while, but it is ultimately one of my least favourite MK games.

I may pick up the DK game up at some point, and it is still early, but I've already moved to spending most of my time on the PS5 again.

I actually prefer using the Portal if I play a handheld game - it feels lighter and more comfortable to use. The Switch 2 controllers are really uncomfortable for me to use in handheld mode.

I think if I did own one, I'd be kind of both ways on it. I have a feeling I'd adore DK and would probably still be playing it now if I had one, but then there's literally no other games so far that appeal to me, so I don't know. I am an absolute DK fanatic though, so that might actually do the trick....even though I despise his new design and want the superior Rare design back, but I've mostly just accepted Nintendo's terrible new redesign in quiet resignation, so it's.....fine......I guess.

No.

It's a console I bought primarily for Nintendo games and it's proven great for that. Assuming Nintendo continues with output similar to last gen, it should remain that way. Otherwise I'll pick up things here and there that I may want to play on the go, assuming there's no big compromises when playing on Sw2 vs. PC (things like Suikoden, Silksong, probably Hades II, FFT, etc.)

I feel like it's been good value already, honestly I've probably already got more out of it than my PS5.

I still don't get the huge deal over GKCs, seems like misunderstanding or concern trolling.

No.

DK Bananza, Mario Kart World, and Silksong were some of the best games I played this year, and there are still others coming like Hades 2, Kirby Air Riders, etc.

I also had fun playing SoulCalibur II on Switch Online, as well as SF6 portable. Oh, and Zelda BotW and TotK look amazing in 4k60fps.

Absolutely not, it's easily my most played platform at this point. I actually don't think I've even booted up my PS5 since I got the Switch 2. And I love my PS5.

It's no surprise, though. I loved the Switch 1, and this is just the same thing, only better in every way. (Except no OLED 😭)

Also, the S2 Pro Controller might be my favorite controller of all time. It's so incredibly nice.

I genuinely love the Switch 2, but I've been getting more and more pissed at Nintendo as of late. Still, I can't deny that it's a great console. Hell, I've even been using game chat with a friend over the last few weeks while we both play through Silksong. It works surprisingly well.

Nope. It's already my most played system this year.

Bananza was amazing, Replayed and cleaned up TotK and finished Scarlet DLC, Mario Kart World while a disappointment is so damn fun with knockout tour and I am so damn excited to play a new Metroid game and Pokemon Legends is next month.

And... Hades 2 tomorrow \o/

It's a great handheld and still the best one when it comes to how seamless it is to play it on TV - a problem I still have with my Steam Deck that I just stopped doing it.

Two great games I have played so far.

MK world, and DK Bonanza.

MKW doesn't have the staying power of infinite though I think.

No, I dumped at least 50 hours into ToTK so far and have played some other bits. My issue is finding time to play, I've still got DK sealed on my shelf.

Like a Nintenyearold would openly admit any regret for purchasing a Nintendo product.

No. I have been playing it quite a bit since release. Judging the S2 by the relative scarcity of new games when it can play the massive library of S1, considering that the other current-gen consoles were in pretty much the same situation at launch, is low-quality bait.

That said, I miss the compact frame of the Switch 1, and that screen can be quite bad with some content when it comes to motion.

I got it with the expectation that the price would go up due to tariffs. I have used it a few times with Mario Kart, which I just cant fathom how they dropped the ball this much with this game. I am 50/50 in hopes that future games will be great. Looking forward to Metroid Prime 4, but the graphics look dated to me.

No, NSO + DKB + Zelda 60fps is enough for me, but I can see why it's not for others. Also looking forward to KAR and MP4.

But I am annoyed at how Nintendo continues to focus on Switch 1 releases and is slow-rolling Switch 2 patches. Xenoblade 1-3 and FEE/TH should all be running as well as TOTK at this point.

Why regret? MKW is great, Bonanza is Nintendo's best 3D platformer since SM3DW. MP4 and Z-A look great.

Upgrades to older games have been substantial (esp TOTK). New multiplayer features are good and the pro controller 2 is top notch.

TBH my biggest complaint is as much as the "upgrade" packs are largely worth it they should REALLY be free or like $5 at most.

It's a nasty bit of work by Nintendo that right now Hogwarts Legacy is on sale for like $12 but the "Switch 2 version" is completely separate and like $40

It's not consumer friendly at all and tbh is one of the better thing MS & Sony did - buy game once and you just automatically get the "optimized" version for your console.

Nah, don't regret it. I've put lots of hours into games on it already. The only thing I hate is the abysmal physical game situation with it.

Not at all. gonna play Hades II tomorrow. Tons of games coming soon, Hyrule Warriors looks great, MP4 should be a banger.

I regret believing that Nintendo would actully make a system that was appropriate for current and future third-party games to come.

Otherwise it's a good system. MKW and Bananza are good games and after seeing how much better Scarlett & Violet ran - I'm actually confident in buying Legends ZA.

Nope, pissed that my dock Lan Port broke but its exactly what I wanted, a move powerful Switch and even a nice little bonus of it playing Switch 1 games with better FPS.

I don't regret it - especially because I believe the cost to purchase one in the future will be higher, so there's no point to wait if I want one. But I would state that I'd appreciate more software to choose from that is to my liking. Time should provide, though.

I feel sorry for the people saying it's their main console. The thing is uncomfortable as all hell, has terrible battery life compared to the first, is only as powerful as a PS4 from a decade ago, still lacks features that consoles had two decades ago, and is basically propped up by a giant library of Switch 1 games which still don't have updates. I bought one the first week it came out and it's basically collected dust since. For the money, the Steamdeck is a far superior handheld.

It's not my main console by default, I also have a PS5 and Steam Deck. It's just better than those.

It's a cute system, it also made me get a steam deck when I wasn't interested in portable gaming since the vita.

Knowing I'm set for the next 6-8 years with a massive Switch backlog gets a resounding HELL NO from me.

Not really. Donkey Kong Bananza is my Goty (currently). And I am very interested in Kirby Air Riders.

The only disappointment so far is Mario Kart World.

Voted no, so far I am happy with it, I have really enjoyed MK World, DK, and the time I have put into Cyberpunk (I need to play it more). Hades II is going to be a big time dump for me whenever I pick it up and there is still MP4 coming on the horizon.

Not at all.
I've been enjoying Mario Kart. I enjoyed Donkey kong a ton. I'm still playing through a bag log of switch games, now with improved performance.
New Pokemon just 3 days before I flay to Japan. New Hyrule Warriors shortly after getting back from Japan. New Metroid just in time for Christmas.

Why is anyone complaining?

The system has been out for only 3 months.

I'm annoyed by Nintendo's decision to slowly roll out devkits to third parties and worried that their disorganized communication strategy and erratic pricing decisions have caused unnecessary controversy and dampened enthusiasm for the console, BUT, personally, I'm very happy with it.

It's honestly more capable than I expected (and I was one of the optimistic ones), and Nintendo's first wave of games have been great. I loved Donkey Kong Bananza and enjoyed Mario Kart World a lot more than a lot of people seemed to. I'm also hyped for Kirby Air Riders and Metroid Prime 4, and Star Wars Outlaws gives me hope that third party ports are going to be much more comparable to their home console counterparts than we saw during the Switch 1 era.

So I guess my tl;dr is that I love the console and hate the vibes.

Haven't gotten it yet as I am waiting for more updates for S1 games. Xenoblade games, Astral Chains, FE Three Houses and more could use it.

I also really would like better battery life and OLED screen … and more storage wouldn't hurt. Figure Nintendo will have OLED upgrade in year or year and a half, plus a cheaper S2 Lite for kids.

No, I think it's a really nice system. Been loving it so far. Although I do wish we'd have gotten a OLED screen in the base model.

Nope. I bought a few games and I'm happy with them, and I'm content to wait for more. I also have a PS5 so I have games to play on both consoles.

I held off on playing TOTK until I got a Switch 2. Not regretting that decision at all. Completed DK, Mario Kart was fun. Looking forward to Hades 2 tomorrow.

No.

I've bought MKW so far but only played backlog Switch games on it. It has fantastic potential of becoming a very succesful machine and it will be worth the purchase once the heavy hitters start to emerge. It always takes some time.

I definitely don't regret my purchase - Mario Kart is great fun with the family, and DK: Bonanza is the best platformer since Mario Odyssey. I haven't played Zelda: TOTK on it yet (played a bit on Switch 1 and then got busy) but I look forward to the enhancements to an already masterful game.

My most played system at the moment by a long shot (PS5, PC, XSX).

I kinda expected MP4 and Bananza at launch with some holiday games sprinkled in but we kinda got screwed. Woulda bought one eventually anyway but it's been semi disappointing.

The console is fine, the hardware as well. Only the screen is a let down. It should be a fine console for third party games and Metroid.

They have to address Game Key Cards and it will be okay.

Nah, I don't regret it. The enhancements to Switch 1 games alone make the Switch 2 a worthwhile purchase.
