Yes and no, console is fine and its nice the switch 1 games runs better. However ive got like 3-4 games i want to buy upcoming, but im not sure i can justify them day one due to where the prices(for patches/running ok even) is (and especially if you notice what the game prices are on the jpn eshop, basicly half of the prices in the nordics, and thats with a much weaker kind of money).

There has started to be a bit lowering of the console price (that was one of the highest in the world, imported of course since cant pay 200 euro extra for nothing extra), so well just have to wait until bergsla gets the next time negotiating the prices i guess, until then games have to be imported or waited for lowered physical prices(or complete editions).

Been collecting dust since early June. I dunno wtf I was thinking. I played a couple hours of Mario Kart, played some BC games, and it has just been collecting dust ever since.

While I hardly play it and just use it for MKW, finishing TOTK and slowly going through DK... I only paid a couple hundred to upgrade after selling my switch 1 OLED.

I definitely don't regret my purchase - Mario Kart is great fun with the family, and DK: Bonanza is the best platformer since Mario Odyssey. I haven't played Zelda: TOTK on it yet (played a bit on Switch 1 and then got busy) but I look forward to the enhancements to an already masterful game.

My most played system at the moment by a long shot (PS5, PC, XSX).
When you play TotK, give the Zelda Notes App a try. It's such a neat and handy thing. When I went back to clean up exploring some areas and shrines it was really cool to have it open

Poll needs an "I don't own a Switch 2" option or you'll have people making disingenuous votes just to see the results.

Yeah, this Question is obviously targeted at People who actually bought a Nintendo Switch 2.

I really don't understand why there are People who voted without actually owning a Nintendo Switch 2.

Makes absolutely no Sense!

The system is fantastic. Also, for some reason Walmart STILL hasn't charged me for mine and it's been almost 4 months now since they delivered it.

The system? No.
I went in expecting a more powerful switch, and its exactly what I got. Love the little improvements with the physical hardware, such as the better ways to attach and detach joy cons. The larger size is nice.
Sure the Joycons still using hardware prone to drift sucks, not enough for me to get upset.

The way they're handling things like Keycards? Yes.
Keycards is a clear mishandling/misunderstanding/overreach and has actively swayed what I buy for my Switch 2. On a key card? Pass! I buy it on PC (or PS5 if I truly wanted a Physical copy, with the assumption its on the disc). While I'm not Anti Digital gaming, (I primarily game on PC with Steam/GOG), Keycards seem like a weird abomination of Digital and Physical. Sure I can sell the card again, but essentially the card is useless if I cant download it into my system for XYZ reason. I rather just have it all on the cart, otherwise there is no incentive to buying it on Switch.
Dragon quest 1 and 2 remake for example, is on a keycard on Switch 2, just going to buy it on PS5 now.

DK was great, I look forward to playing Metroid Prime 4 on it with its mouse control.

Like a Nintenyearold would openly admit any regret for purchasing a Nintendo product.
I've never heard that before, that's hilarious 😂

Did not purchase and will not without some kind of killer app.

It seems to have launched when the hardware was ready without regarding to software. Switch 1 had obvious reasons to buy immediately. Switch 2 seems more like a fan product for people who wanted to upgrade. Switch Pro.

I pre-ordered as soon as it was possible. But canceled everything a month or so before release. Just didn't feel it. And with announcement that a package like the Mario Galaxy games are also gonna come to the original Switch, I just don't see the need yet. Plus, I feel it is insanely pricey. I'll probably bite when a new Zelda comes out, though. I do wonder how long Nintendo is gonna support the original Switch with their games -is that long rumored Zelda TP/WW double pack still in cards for the original Switch?

Got one with the Mario Kart bundle 1 month after launch. Power up and put it back in the box and haven't touch it since.

I got my Switch 2 at launch, but I'm not opening it until Christmas. By the time I'm ready to play it, I'll own Mario kart world, Kirby Air-Riders,
Donkey Kong Bananza, Metroid 4, Marvel Cosmic Invasion, SpongeBob: Titans of the Tide, Hades 2 and Mario Galaxy 2. Definitely not a waste for me.

Not me! I got my first 3D Donkey Kong in 20 years you better believe I've been playing every inch of that game.

I'm consistently putting time into Bananza and Mario Kart World even after 100%ing them. Not to mention Cyberpunk and Smash Ultimate have me occupied.

That's even before I get into my updated Switch 1 titles that I never finished.

I'm loving this thing. If it keeps selling the way it has more chance for me to get the games I want later.

Haters can keep hating. Those who are legitimately unsatisfied for now, well at least you got it before any price increase.

Nope. In fact, I've been going back and playing old Nintendo Switch games I haven't completed yet because of the extra power that the console has and it's been a pretty great experience.

Super Mario Wonder was awesome by the way. I just finished that game yesterday and it was a hoot.

I have massive PS5 Pro regrets, but not Switch 2. It's only been out for under 4 months! Fuck are people expecting from this this after less than 4 months???

I regret believing that Nintendo would actully make a system that was appropriate for current and future third-party games to come.

Otherwise it's a good system. MKW and Bananza are good games and after seeing how much better Scarlett & Violet ran - I'm actually confident in buying Legends ZA.
They got Star Wars Outlaws, a game that has mandatory use of RT working well on the system...as a launch window game (with a shortened dev cycle).

And now I just saw that they got Baldurs Gate III running natively on the Steam deck..I don't think you'll have to worry about Switch 2's capability to run the vast majority of 3rd party games (with compromises of course). Basically, if it can run on Steam Deck, Switch 2 should be just fine.

I don't have one and know I will regret it because there is no Switch 2 exclusive I want. Buuuut, the performance boost on some games sounds like it is worth it?

Not at all. It's pretty awesome and basically what I wanted from an upgraded Switch. The only downside is that the screen is not great. Wish it were OLED.

Also was hoping (still hoping?) for more Switch 1 games to see performance boosts/upgrade patches.

50/50 as I only played Mario Kart World & cyberpunk on it and it is now collecting dust. The game key cards were the most disappointing and made me not buy games that I usually would have purchased day1.

The current cycle is I see a game I like & would be great to play on portable but then I see it is gamekey only, on the bright side I'm saving much money now especially with the current economy

No. I bought it for new exclusives. Nintendo always delivers here, even the Wii U had great games.
And given the modern trend of consoles going up in price over time, it made sense to me to buy it at launch.

I can't tell whether you are being serious or trying to troll people who link content creators, Newsom style
uh? i dunno what that is.
but as i have said several times. I have seen that sentiment around Nintendo/SW2 form content creators. I don't know what kind of troll that would be.

I think right now we are not going to know how real and significant this sentiment really is. The only metrics that will show or reflect that there is something weird going on, will be an unusual drop in consoles sales (lower/slow mainstream adoption after the hardcore fans) and lackluster third party support > IGN and the like writing articles about it and Nintendo finally addressing criticism/concerns (faster price drop for example) 🤷🏼‍♂️.

In 3 days he returns.

Nintendo Bowser GIF by The Super Mario Bros. Movie

Almost like these people follow a script. Unoriginal grifters.
🤔.... the same can be said of the legacy media. The difference is that you can look at the like/deslike ratio and see what's the overall reception of the video. i mean, you can look at the comment to see what people are saying too. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Not at all.
I am full digital, so keycards doesn't bother me i the slightest.
Also, the performance "buffs" switch 2 gives switch 1 games, is very nice.

No because Nintendo makes games that play like great games.
I just can't get on with PlayStation and their big games trying to be like movies with deep storytelling, if I want that then I read a book or watch a movie, I don't want that from my gaming experience.

Ask me again in 3-4 years time, first I need to buy it and experience both the new Fire Emblem and the inevitable Xenoblade sequel. Then I'll see if there's anymore exclusives in the pipeline that speaks to me and adds "value" to my purchase.

I kinda regret getting it at launch...I have played MK once and I haven't got DK yet. Wasn't a metroid fan back in the day but will pick it up at christmas as its the only game I want on it till next year.

Luckily my wife uses it so it's getting some playtime.

It's early days though so it's worth every penny for zelda and mario in the years to come. (Hopefully luigis mansion 4 one day)

The price of Nintendo games are outrageous (80+20€ for BoTW+DLC !), the necessity to have an online subscription to play emulated games is ridiculous, and the key cards are stupid. But as someone who passed on the Switch (had Wii U PTSD which took a while to recover from), it's a nice console that just works, with a great game library (thanks to the Switch games, though).
Would never have bought it if I had a Switch though.

Fuck yeah Switch 2 it'll become my new main platform!
N: Keycards
Hell yeah I'll use Switch 2 just for the complete on cart Nintendo games!
N: Don't forget the main area DLC
Well at least I'll use it for those small indie games so they run better on a handheld!
N: They don't have dev kits

Am I saying I regret it? No, because I was gonna get it for exclusives anyway, and the earlier I do the more value I get from it for the long tail.

But Nintendo's behavior and new management is a lot shittier than I anticipated.

Not at all, been having a blast with it so far.

Kicking off with the first new Mario Kart and first new Donkey Kong in over a decade was a hell of a one two punch, and both games were terrific.
Also enjoyed the likes of Fast Fusion, Cyberpunk, Kunitsu-gami Path of the Goddess, Wild Hearts S, and Cronos the New Dawn, and Hyrule Warriors and Kirby Air Riders are just around the corner.
