According to Bethesda via reddit, they are looking into why it is in the iTunes store but not available for streaming on Apple Music.

Keep those OST recommendations coming please.

Already listened:

- DOOM (wow)
- WOLFENSTEIN TNO (wow)
- HALO (no me gusta)
You need to check out Mick's work on Killer Instinct, especially if you have nostalgia for the original themes. He does so much more than just metal; his TJ Combo remix is legendary (for example). He did the soundtracks to Season 1 and Season 2.

Weird. It was definitely up there and working for a few days.

It's how they eq'd bass "hits" Like the old Korn 808 hits in some songs. So BFG division is really boomy.

I think part of it is my setup though. That particular hit is basically the resonant frequency in my car audio setup with windows down.

It's not as noticeable on my DT990-250 and E17+E09k

What is more noticeable is they dropped the sub bass a bit, which gives it that boomier feel and why I'm thinking it might be compression issues.

Metal production is all over the place. It's still great for what it is but I wish they had left more of the supporting sub-bass in the mix and dialed down the small speaker bass sweet spot a bit.

Are you talking about audio or data compression? What you're describing typically wouldn't happen with encoding algorithms (unless low bitrates that basically turn the material into unrecognizable mush, but that's besides the point)

I'm listening to this and while I do agree that 70-120Hz is a tad more saturated than other material of this nature, I don't think it's up by an unbearable amount - definitely not what I'd call muddy, anyway.

It also does feel that the subs are intentionally a little more subdued overall to give those deeper impacts every 2 bars (4 if you count double time) a little more oomph/contrast.

edit: While I'm in this thread, the YT comments on BFG Division reminded me of this, lol

What's funny is when I was watching Mick's video, I kept thinking he really only needed the one string, lol.

I'm actually not generally a fan of super cleanly produced metal, but the super clean/boomy production on stuff like BFG Division really works for me. I guess the fact that Doom is science fiction makes all the high tech elements work well. I think Gojira - Magma or Subrosa - For This We Fought The Battle Of Ages take the gold for metal production so far this year though.

That's djent for ya. Works great here, less so in a lot of other metal acts.

Jfc that Dogma intro right into rip and tear. Shit booms in the car; straight up panty shaker and has the gf complaining, haha.

I was in a metal club in Brighton over the weekend and they played a shortened version of BFG Division, it was pretty cool.

Edit: I'm a huge nerd and too obsessive about audio bullshit.

Doom soundtrack is really amazing.

Goddamn, VEGA Core hits so hard. I'd run this through a proper sound setup instead of headphones but I'm afraid of the seismic activity.

Oh I will update the heck out of this thread if we get a physical release. After I place multiple orders, of course!

I just don't understand how more options are not available. :( Money on the table, waiting to be spent.

Sometimes, even tech companies can be sluggish and stupid.

I want a Vinyl to collect and some MP3's to put on my FiiO please. I have a hard time not getting something physical when I spend money on music or a movie.

By the way, that E1M1 easter egg riff during the 2016 Game Awards was awesome.
