Chen
  • Holy Persuasion no longer has the ability to teleport allied units
  • Test of Faith grants you a secondary ability to teleport allied units (200 mana cost)
Now this is very interesting, makes Test of Faith slightly more mana costly, but also frees up the teleport functionality even when you're in the jungle persuading creeps. By the same token, you can't burst a chasing enemy hero and teleport someone out in the same instance, so all told this spells a bit of a shift for how the hero approaches this situation. Chens may rely instead on Penitence to deal damage in these same instances, though that isn't significant without levels.
The nuke and the teleport are 2 different abilities however, they have different mana costs (the nuke is still 175) and it doesn't say anything about them sharing a cooldown, so it seems it is pretty much a straight up buff and not only a change of the choice you had to make.

Also, it seems that with the Radiance buff in damage, now it is over the damage threshold for Sticky Napalm to be triggered by it?

I definitely agree. He's been used to great effect in the Inty 2 and since, this seems like it'd do the trick in making his appeal more lasting.

yeah him/visage and doom will see alot of play now

they reverted chen's spell

Yeah, this seems like a nerf to Chen since now he has to be careful using the Nuke in teamfights. The trade-off is that you have some gank protection in the jungle, but I don't play a lot of Chen so I don't know how good that is.

So they clarified that Test of faith is now a a 2 in 1 like it was before with Holy Persuasion or that they share the cooldown?
Quite a nerf to his abilities in a fight and Holy Persuasion becomes kind of useless after you have all your creeps.

Wasn't his teleport skill global range before? Or am I thinking of his ulti?
You are thinking of the ultimate.

I believe you get two abilities upon leveling test of faith now; the nuke and the teleport.

There's two sides to this coin, as now teleporting costs 200 mana (100 more than holy persuasion), which is quite significant when test of faith + his ult + converting creeps regularly costs quite a bit of mana already. You can use all three effects of said spells in the same fight though (useful with an enchantress trying to convert your creeps for example, you can convert them back AND still teleport someone).

What I find more interesting, is the fact Rubick won't be able to snatch the teleport ability so easily now. Earlier, if you just roamed by a Chen in the woods you're almost guaranteed to get holy persuasion (and with it, the teleporting ability) with a spell steal every time. Just the creeps for you from now on, Rubick!

he gets a fitfh skill to tp things now so they don't share the cd

Considering Necrolyte/Soul Reaper is my most successful, most played, and favorite hero in DOTA/HoN: I fucking love this change and will now enjoy playing Necrolyte a whole lot more over that now pathetic HoN cousin of his.

But the effect stacks, and is multiplied by 10 if he kills a hero (say with his ultimate) so nuking an entire creep wave early game with the standard 4 creep spawn at Level 4 sadist will provide 40 mana regeneration and 16 health regeneration over 6 seconds, and can continue to stack. Bloodstone on him will be overkill at this point.

P.S. SNIPER BUFFS ARE HELLA AWESOME

His ulti and his agha upgrade still suck though

Love the Doom/Drow buffs! Also the Sniper/Alch/Spirit Breaker ones look fun.

Hate some of the nerfs, DS another row of nerfs, nothing too major I suppose, but the combo with naga was fun to see.

Mostly good stuff though, supports getting more money, wards costing less.. amazing. No new rosh locations though :o

Also hate this one:

Panda Brewmaster
- Primal Split units are now affected by Black Hole

No it wasnt. And he can still do it, he just needs to time it now.

I got forced into playing Omniknight when I joined a game today. He takes a little getting used to, but the heal was fantastic. Despite me having him buffed up massively and with someone playing Ursa on my team (I had over 2k hp at lvl 20 with ags, mek, arcane boots, etc.) my team didn't really push so we ended up losing. =\

I think I may play him some more, though, when I MM with other people as he's incredibly useful in a team fight.

I'm still wildly inconsistent with Meepo, so sticking to coop bot matches with him for the time being. Still enjoy playing him, though. Once he hits lvl 16 and has an aghs he's ridiculously powerful.

The sadist rework isn't that crazy good, the mana gain is the same but spread out over 6 seconds, the health is nice for laning.

I'm surprised sylla got out pretty light compared to all the other popular carries. The radiance damage and orb of venom costing less gold actually benefits him a bit.

Now we can actually kill that damn bear though.

Wait, did you just say you got Aghanim's Scepter on Omniknight?

I stand corrected! So much more mana expensive for Chen in the end, but a lot more versatile than what I thought initially.

I'm starting to feel as though my buddies and me picking our favorite characters has become a pubstomp team. TA, Dirge, Enigma and me on DP.

But he had Heaven's Halberd. Considering the fact that enemy carry didn't have a BKB that was a legit choice of item.

PA did have a bkb, and based off the nature of how kunkka is played its not a particularly useful item against him either.
edit: PA also had a butterfly. Okay.
edit2: Am I gonna have to pull out the low-tier stamp?

- Faceless Void can no longer be frozen by any Chronosphere!!

So anyone that's tried 6.75, answer me this. What happens now if Rubick steals Chronosphere and walks into Void's Chronosphere? It's not clear if it's implied that this is a passive part of Chronosphere or some other Void skill.

It means that FV can no longer be stunned by any Chronosphere, his or rubick's. It has no bearing on what happens to rubick inside of void's chrono, and rubick still is unaffected by his own.

But is Rubick no longer affected by Void's Chronosphere if he steals it? These kinds of things have to be attached to spells, they can't be some invisible characteristic, which is why I wonder which spell it's attached to.

Just got driven out my mind by a TA that kept melding in the middle of the lane where they could see her against Pugna and Ursa...so of course Pugna ground aoe'ed her to death or she unstealthed and Ursa and Pugna got her and she did it like 5 times in a row. Needless to say, Ursa got fed and the game did not go well for us.

It'll be hardwired into the chronosphere, that Faceless Void is unaffected. Not the hero who cast it, only faceless void.

No I mean he'll be an exception, Rubick won't be able to walk around in FVs chrono, but FV will be able to walk around in Rubicks. "Faceless void isn't affected by this stun, nor is the caster" instead of "Only the caster is unaffected"

Well, Drow Ranger and Luna having more vision at night than other heros in itself is an "invisible characteristic".

Faceless Void wil be able to run around in ALL chronospheres now, because well he is "a visitor from Claszureme, a realm outside of time".

Rubick is not so FV's chrono will still affect him even if he casts one as well.

Good changes. I'm actually looking forward to playing dota now. It's about time some of the braindead bullshit toned down. The only change I wish was in would be cold snap range reduction, and ion shell have a 1 to 1 cool down to prevent double ion shells.

I personally think gyrocopter and kunkka are going to be hard to deal with now.

I also like these honeqsue changes. Are we gonna see more tree mid? Doubtful, but one can hope.
