Ogre Magi has been doing surprisingly well for me in Diretide. Awesome stuns and slow, and since money comes relatively quick you can get a bloodstone up early. Bloodlust on any autoattack heroes you have you your team (+ yourself) is just icing on the cake. With at least one other reliable stun we can usually raid their bucket easily a few minutes after Roshan starts roaming.

Everyone is sick to death of it but keep playing it because we want essences, items and couriers. It's running till the 12th.
Its fun if everyone is just being dumb. Its not fun if your team all randoms and the other team picks undying, jakiro, centaur and tide.

The main problem I think I have is the time limit, it makes depending on your teamates much more important since you're racing the clock, which is a recipe for misery in pub games

Just got a baby roshan from a chest after buying one already...lol fuck.
I used to always delete items and get something back, hell I even did it all the way up to a mythical. Now I never get items when I delete them.
Feels bad.
No idea what the chances are. I deleted 4 items a few months back and got an uncommon out of it. Haven't tried it since.

Right after the patch last night I was in MM limbo for like 20 minutes. 9/10 at least twice, and 1+ instances where one person failed to load. Feels bad man.

ud is pretty fucking good, and with the right items he doesn't lose his potential late game
but obviously it's hard to carry a game with him as he doesn't really scale without team mates that do damage

I don't get why they made essences so hard to get in comparison to regular items. You can't buy essences, yet you can buy regular items. It would make sense if they sold essences, because some people would crack and buy a lot, but now people are just trashing items because they have too many.

I like playing Axe on Diretide.
He is doesnt really have great full game abilities for it but he is quite strong early game for raiding and transporting candy.

I'm not a fan of Agh on Dirge. The ult bonus is marginal at best and the stats aren't that useful. After I finish Pipe and Vanguard I much prefer getting a Bloodstone or Sheep. The hardest part of lategame Dirge is having enough mana to Tombstone+Golem and be able to constantly spam Decay and Soul Rip off cd.

I really like Diretide, but I don't think I've won a single match. Teammates quitting, teammates who don't know whats going on, all sorts of stuff. I'm still pretty new at DOTA 2 in general so I can't talk but man, I sure could use some luck.
