They fixed that? Lame. I would use that if MM fucked up and put me on a team of people with 0 wins while the other team had 500+

All those low-tier waifus and no mention of Lyralei. Play Windrunner, she is FUN.

But I have been on a Mirana kick lately, trust me it does not matter that much if you don't always land consistent arrows. She is still a very strong and versatile hero.

I like all the lady heroes, but I like pretty much all the heroes. BINDERS FULL OF WAIFUS.

She is an awesome hero, but the voice is so over done, it's like if Undying groaned or did his zombie noise thing at the end of every sentence.

Speaking of that, those two are great as lane partners though, husband and wife <3

I will try out Mirana later again, I found myself just spamming starfall to clear creepwaves and do a ton of the damage to the enemy hero but found myself dry on mana.

I don't play windrunner for the same reason as Axe, I never get shackleshots down, and Axe doesn't spin as often as he does for me. Some WR's will shackleshot you to trees while you're in river and some Axe's are like tops :(
 
Alright DotaGAF, I need help with carries like Pudge and Bloodseeker. My friends and I have recently been running into quite a few strong Pudge and Bloodseeker opponents and we don't really know how to deal with them. It seems once these heroes get rolling, there is really no way to stop them. I usually play with 2 other people so we try to balance our 3 hero picks around what will be a good counter to the other team.

I know it's probably wise to put on a lot of pressure early game against these heroes, but does that mean doubling up on a mid lane? Any suggestions welcome, thank you!

Or you're just as good as the people on your team ;)

In reality though those 500+ win guys probably sucked butts, which is why they were goofy in the matchmaking. You might actually get out of the low/shit matchmaking area if you didn't abandon your games though :/

First of all they're not carries.
Most importantly ward the map, they're both horrible laners and need to gank to get going if you lane against them with a decent ranged mid. Maybe gank Bloodseeker if he goes mid since he's really squishy and has no escape mechanism at all.

Also carry tps if you're against Bloodseeker all the time.

Good idea. I think we'll just have to stress very early warding to spot the ganks coming, and look to a strong ranged hero for mid. They might not technically be carries, but at the skill level we play at, they definitely turn out that way.
 
Yeah Pudge and Bloodseeker definitely carry games at lower skill levels. I've been playing with noobish friends and both those heroes absolutely destroy teams if they're unprepared. Unfortunately, some people aren't even helped by wards. I can see Pudge start walking towards top, ping him when he passes by the rune ward, tell my team that Pudge is coming top to gank them, and 10 seconds later I still hear "FRESH MEAT!"

A lot of people just don't know how to react to Pudge at all. They freeze up like a deer in the headlights and get hooked every time.

Haha yes, good for when you play Pudge, but I honestly don't know how to get it through teammates heads when we are 20 minutes into the game and they're getting hooked for the 7th or 8th time, even when I'm blowing all my cash on wards so we always know where Pudge is.

Pudge is inevitable death. It's better you stand there and take it, rather than make me work and look for openings :P

my faves are the ones that end up running TO the extending hook.

Like moths to a flame.

My favorites are the ones at mid that are so damn confident that I won't catch a hook on them by the time I hit level 3, and then I do.

I had a Storm Spirit once that I missed a couple of hooks at 2, and one at 3, and he just types "lol, you can't hook me" in all chat. Right after that I get a hook on him and get First Blood. Then A little later I go get top rune, and on the way I see Storm Spirit standing on the corner just waiting to get hooked. I hook him, and he says "Gah, I was just typing ss for you."
