Icefrog appears to want Naga to be shifted away from a carry/semicarry role. Her ability to farm has been nerfed with her loss to base damage and now her nerf to Riptide which was used to splitfarm in the jungle. I guess he thinks her disabler/initiator role is enough for her.

Buff to many supports, nerf to OD, SK, and a few others that come to mind. Oh well.

+10 damage, +10 attack speed for 3hp/s is really a buff ? (I am actually asking, 3hp/s doesn't seem that much once a support is in the phase of the game where they can buy a force staff, but what do I know)

It gives you a reason to purchase a ring of regen early on if you're not thinking about mek, which can be useful for getting your hp back up to a reasonable level in between ganks.

At the moment it can be a trial playing support sometimes because its difficult to get a kill and get away clean (ie without taking enough damage so that you have to back).

More uptime for supports = more active games, as opposed to 'gank enemy carry a few times but have to go back to base after every one, end up underlevelled and reduced to wardmonkey role'.

Between this and the CM aura buff, roaming CM should be a lot more dangerous.

Well that was random. Love it that boots are cheaper, but sucks they all got -5 speed. Drow buff is awesome, Sniper buff is fun, agh scepter is really core now on Chen, why do they keep nerfing him, nice clock buffs, CM aura is nice now, another Dark Seer nerf... , MORE DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!, DP/Kunkka/Lina/Luna/Lion/Mirana/Puck/Omni/Necro/Treant/Witch Doctor all with minor/medium buffs, I like it.

Dunno why but I felt bad reading it at first, but reading it again it's all good.

So I tried Liche, Lina, Witch Doctor, and Warlock all against bots

Did pretty well with Liche not so well with Witch Doctor, and ok with the other 2.

When should I start matchmaking? or should I just go for it and expect to get slaughtered a fair few times?

One of the best mornings to wake up to.

Really looking forward to the meepo change. Aghanims + Heart Rush could be great. Does evasion carry over to the other meepo's? Also wondering if you still get the extra meepo. Loving the drow remake on her skills, makes farming so much easier. 40 agility at level 6 is insane for farming. Kunkka buff is always nice. Surprised he buffed alchemist even more. Sniper is going crazy mode. Silencer e has a lot of synergy with his q now. I really cannot wait to see centaur's new ult in play.

Tag team looks fun, hope they can squeeze it in soon.

The game will pair you up against equally terrible people (esp. since there's apparently just been another big wave of invites) so no worries.

Chances are you'll do better against human players than against bots. Just get in there.

On a side note I honestly feel the matchmaking in this game is pretty bad. Pretty much every game I'm play one team ends up roflstomping the other one.

While the force staff change is negative for SK/Lifestealer, there's always blink dagger or shadowblade. You can also pick up tranquil early on and turn the ring of regen into force staff. No idea what you would do with the ring of protection besides selling it. 10 attack speed isn't that much.

Disappointed by the force staff nerf, I guess it's no longer the best item in the game, but it still absolutely renders some of the more annoying characters useless.

edit: Holy crap. So Drow at level 6 has +40 agility bonus now instead of +15? That's an enormous buff.

Yup as long as they aren't within 375 range (a little less than huskar or morph's auto attack). You could easily farm ancients at 6 now with a HoTD.

I'm really excited for the changes and I hope dota 2 is updated to parity this week (seems likely, they've been sitting on warchief for awhile, probably needed to put in stampede).

The only thing that leaves me disappointed is no huskar changes. Has he ever been a competitive pick?

Ughhh, that sniper buff. They really want him to be easy mode, huh? He's a super effective hero at level 1 now.

Valve just needs to do something harsher with shitheads than just making them wait longer to join games. I shouldn't have to deal with "mid or I feed" or "other team got first blood so I DC" in matches where everyone is at 200+ wins.

Perhaps make a shit-head matchmaking pool and banish them into there until they've proven themselves or something.

And then hopefully they add a ton more servers and start restricting access to different servers based on ping for matchmaking. Then you won't be paired up with people who all speak different languages and cannot communicate with in any positive way. I have too many matches where I have people on my team who go "hey, my ping is 900 and you can't understand me, so I'm going to go off and do my own thing and not participate in team fights"

Those sniper buffs. I could cry man. They're beautiful.

Also that Centaur buff, Jesus Christ that is ridiculous. And only a one minute cooldown too.

The Centaur ability sounds insane. I have to assume they playtested it somehow, but I just don't see how its not broken in half. The global range is what really takes it into the jaw-dropping territory
