So I've got an Unusual Essence, 3 Wex, 2 Exort & 1 Quas. If I'm correct that means the unusual will give the courier some sort of small effect, Wex+Exort = green colouring, Wex+Quas = green colouring, Exort + Quas = purple colouring.

ive been trying hard to like dota 2.

I know it's tough losing stuff like Chalice and Striders but you get used to it eventually.

Normally they're on the main one, but I heard that it may be down. There's a backup as well.

Patch fixed deniable candies, I hope.

Amongst other things

- Fixed a bug that caused Greevil Eggs to lose socketed essences when traded. Eggs are now safe to trade.
- Removed a restore option on Greevil Eggs that caused socketed essences to be lost.
- Restored Greevil Eggs damaged by the trading and restore bugs to their owners. About 12,000 eggs were affected and have been restored. Check your backpacks for the extra eggs!
- Added a Golden Baby Roshan trophy courier that will be awarded to the fastest Roshan killing players each cycle.
- Private lobbies set to Tournament will now use the normal Dota map.
- Candy can no longer be sold, dropped, killed, or given to couriers.
- The Diretide announcer no longer overrides the killing spree announcer in non-Diretide games.
- View previous Diretide Hall of Fame cycle winners on the play tab.

Another good update, think it will make the mode a lot better. Maybe add something better at the end because the Rosh part is getting a bit stale. Specially if you pick heroes that can't really do much against him in the first place but are good at the candy phase.

Yes, the Diretide Chests are part of the standard drop system you get from playing the game. If you get it will playing Diretide you won't get the notification but you can check your inventory afterwards to see if you got anything.

Can you get standard level loot as part of Diretide and just not get notification? I switched to a regular game when I was almost leveled so I wouldn't miss out on that.

I'm pretty tired of Diretide now to be honest but I keep playing for the items, I don't buy stuff so I figure this is my chance to get some good gear and then regular Dota will be waiting for me when I'm done. There's just not enough variance in the Diretide experience to have the excitement of a Dota match.
