I don't know what to do with mine. The non-seraphics look better to my eyes, but the models themselves just inspire so many mixed feelings :P.

Assuming I wanted to trade it (standard Seraphic, no unusuals), what could I potentially get in exchange as couriers go?

More from polycount I haven't seen here

Premier League is also (reportedly) starting up for the day, if you need a third stream to put up on your fancy multi-monitor setup.

I noticed that 160,000 people are playing concurrently on Steam. Seems like A LOT. Is that normal for Dota2? Has something changed? Sorry, I haven't been keeping up with this thread.

There was a big wave of invites/friend invites recently. I'd say it's the new peak.

This is one of the more interesting Slardar ones I've seen.

Slardar is still one of the worst models in the game. His lower jaw still bothers me when I see it in portrait. His lower teeth come out of his chin instead of inside his mouth. It's like they ran out of polygons to make the lower part of his head.

Sanjay's new TA strat!

why

why does sanjay do these things. Sometimes I wonder if we give sanjay too much shit, and then he'll pull shit like this, and I know that no, we don't give him too much shit. We clearly aren't shitting on him enough.

I don't really hate him, just what he does. don't ban me again.

ok now, so im considering quiting dota and maybe try some other game like lol or hon.. hon seems to have a way to hardcore crowd, and lol just seems like pay2win.. the reason for this is all the F***ING russians.. i mean, the got their own russian servers but still i get on a team full of people who is way to agressive, stupid, and if they talk or try to say anything to you its all in russian... i try to tell them to talk english but then they just reply in russian again.. seriously, if valve dont do the same thing as S2 have done in hon, and ban all russians from playing on any server but their own russian servers, then this game is hopeless in europe.

I'm on the east coast of the US and most of my games have Russians in them, too.

Selling off regions was one of the worst things that S2 ever did.

dont know if you are from europe or north america, but if you have experienced russian players i dont think you would say that.. i have some friends who play hon and they say it was the best thing s2 have ever done to the game.

As much as I wish that would happen, Valve would never do it.

We should at least be able to block ourselves from getting queued with other regions. I pick NA regions in order to not deal with players from across the world. I'm not picking it because I can feel the difference of the server that I'm playing on.

Get some friends and play with them. Euroqueue has given me some of the easiest wins of my life.

oh wow... I usually just play when the russians are all asleep. Adding the players online map to dota 2 has been the most useful new feature yet.

So I finally stopped lurking on this thread and watching replays and started playing some bot matches. The game really is overwhelming and there is only so much you can pickup from watching games and not having in game experience.

The couple things I'm having issue with early on:

1) Last hitting. Anyone have tips for this? I have a feeling it might be one of those things you figure out with time.

2) What to buy and when. I have no clue what I'm lookign at in shop. Can anyone point me to some sites that have great write ups for the individual characters? Found a few on google but they seemed so random, looking for proven guides if there are such things.

Edit: I saw the links in the first post, DotaFire was what I found through google. I'll have to take a closer look.

but i sleep at about the same time they do :(

Also stop playing All Pick. I never have Russian players in SD or RD, and if I do they're usually actual nice good players and not assholes.

my thing about SD or RD is that i like to play one hero and one hero only, until i feel like i actually do pretty good with it before starting a new one. usually when i play SD or RD by accident cause the settings are reset i get some heroes that i have never played and end up ruining the game for everyone who actually get to play more common heroes.

1. Last hitting is basically that you only hit a creep when you can 1-shot it. Thus giving you gold, and not pushing your creeps further towards the enemys towers. Takes some practise, and its different with different heroes, cause they hit harder/weaker and slower/faster.

2. I usually just get some health regen items, and branches if im going for magic wand. and when it comes to items later in the game, you should go for items that improves the sort of stats your hero needs. which means if your hero has more strength than agility, you should probably go for strength. there is no recipe for which item you need to get.

Started playing Luna today... wow she is fun! I wanna get good at puck too. Two characters who I really want to make item sets for :(

Oh man, you're a gaf member, I'm a big fan of your Dota 2 work so far. Feel free to test drive Leshrac and give me a reason to start playing him again.

dont think i didnt see that edit

My Sniper Games always seem to go late. Last time I played him 3 months ago, 75 Minutes Match. This time, 78 Minute match. Managed to win both.

I am in an awful losing streak.

The thing is that my matchups are so onesided that games are lost in 5-10 minutes. I don't mind losing, but playing 20-30 mins of a match that is well lost is so tiring... I play against people who pick awesome aggressive combos in lanes and my team makes awuful late picks. I thought It would stop after my win rate evened, but now it's below 50% for the first time since I started and still getting one sided games.

For example in my last game a guy waits until the game has almost started to pick ursa after we already had a jungle Doom, a Sniper has to solo ahrd lane and the ursa gives first blood trying to kill a Skeleton king + Leshrac and I was warding. After that the Doom is already healing at base and Ursa leaves lane, making that 2 jungles while our Pudge is being owned by a very skilled Invoker. After we have lost all t2 towers I look and both our junglers best item is a Vlads ;)

As much as I wish that would happen, Valve would never do it.

Shouldn't they put latency restrictions on servers for matchmaking? Make it so you can only play on servers that have a ping of less than 120ms or something like that. I guess it will suck for the few who live where there are no nearby servers, but eh there is always lobbies.

What mode are you playing?

I used to be like you, then I started only playing random draft and now it never gets too depressing.

Oh, look, it's this shit again. Would you mind sharing your Dota 2 profile?
