The buffs from unusual essences are pretty significant, i was noticing that my greevil is much better at combat than most (+2 unusuals on a divine one with bash skill)

The new mode requires less time than Diretide did, so I like it more already.
Less wasted time, and it would be even lesser if they managed to make the downtime between camp spawns shorter.
There is also the whole thing about finding which hero skills stay into greevil form which can be fun as well.

I agree. I get it, it's optional, it's just a quick fun-mode and everything... But man, it sucks so badly.

So the coal just appears to be an action item in the game. I think there are snowballs too which you can throw at people.
It's just a fun little mode to dick around in. It's good to have a little bit of variety every once in a while.

It's a pretty fun mode IMO but it kinda comes down to what skills your team's greevils have. If you don't have several stunners then you're in trouble.
Just finished a game and it didn't work. Must have hotfixed it.
I tried an experiment and put all of my crates for $10 each and two sold within 10 minutes. They were series #4 and #18.

Other than that, if you don't see how "you don't like something, then don't play/buy/watch/listen to it" is often used to stunt discussion (even if it's limited to stating an opinion) that is not entirely positive, we must have different experiences.
It's like coal, you toss it at players and their hero becomes dark/light for about .5 seconds, there is literally no other use.

holy shit that game mode is fun. But on our last match, it somehow booted us to proper dota and we had a team fit for greevils and no carries T_______T
I think it booted us when it reset the matchmaking when someone canceled the ready message. So if you ready message chancels when you queue for greevilng, beware!

I don't see how that stunts discussion.
He expressed an opinion while talking to me, so I replied that it's good that he likes it.
I stated my opinion on the mode already previously so I didn't feel the need to restate it.

It really is dependent on how strong your greevil is and what abilities it has. My red one has decrepify and laguna blade which is nice, since they combo together, but the other one is time lock, which doesn't work with the other two.
And greevils with the echo slam are pretty OP since there tends to be a lot of clumped up fights around greevil camps.

Time lock has been clutch for me; stop the opponent from transforming and annoyingly get back to full health (or whatever they were at pre-transformation). And yeah, echo slam is great...when they're non greevil
Having a Naked Greevil instead of a Seraphic is gigantic and sometimes a team gets an item combo that really works well and the other gets bad stuff so they end up not being able to win even if they dominate early on.

I personally found Diretide matches to be too long, with the first part (the pre "boss fight" stuff) of it being potentially incredibly boring and the second one being just a matter of dodging the same thing over and over again every 15 seconds or so.
Even the promise of items couldn't keep me interested for too long.
I think that's a pretty amazing set actually.
I don't know, I tried to give my starting item of Power Treads to anther player, and it didn't work.
