Your delivery was so flat penguins slid across it.If the sniper dies is totally fault of the team. I mean the team should be there for sniper all the time!!I really though the joke was obvious. Specially with that post about MoM on sniper before mine.
We did that build for fun back in wc3 dota, mostly with wisp or abaddon, it was really fun, add basher to make it even funnier.
I can't tell. You guys.
MoM on Sniper is legitin my scrub tier ;-;
Also, I've been trying to branch out and play other roles besides support. Lately I've been finding myself playing someone like Phantom Assassin/Spirit Breaker/Bounty Hunter/Shadow Fiend/Faceless Void. Granted some games are bot matches with buddies, but I think I'm getting the hang of them.
Sweet, maybe it's time to make a smurf to play fun heroes like storm spirit or invoker. This has been my experience on my smurf account. I made one to queue with family who are absolutely new and I played hard support in those games to try an reduce my impact on the match. Basically, I sat as Dazzle essentially throwing out what Shallow Graves and Healing Waves I could to try and keep them alive but I didn't make much attempt to get cs or anything and instead trying to give them room to practice their laning as best they could.
From the quality of games I'm still being matched in, that account is in the beginner tier. Though, I have noticed the system seems to be catching on as more and more games I'm being matched with people that have obviously been switching over from HoN or League of Legends. Our win rates are about the same and their skill is definitely better than pure beginners, but they're not smurf accounts either.
Don't know how worthwhile a personal account is but it does seem you can "game' the system by being really shit.
Try telling them to stop fighting and focus on winning the game, works pretty often. Also, make fast use of the ignore button, there are a lot of angsty dumb people playing dota.Any recommendations for letting the heat roll off? I follow pretty intensely but have still only played a few dozen games. I'm a decent support -- not completely terrible, not great, but I look out for my teammates. Had a bot match earlier where I was gobbling up all of the kills in team fights with my ult as Lich. I had Mek and I hit the wrong hotkey during a fight, failing to activate it, and someone (an Anti-Mage that had a couple kills and was feeding badly) who died because of me, apparently, started flipping out about how selfish I was. He turned the entire team against me, despite how hard I was working with harassment and wards (not to mention I accidentally (unfortunately) had the most kills by a few). So, the rest of the game consisted of people commanding me around, blaming me every time they died and constantly asking what I was doing with my money when I was saving for the Scythe. Any effort to defend myself was met with more harassment. We lost. To bots.
I'm usually pretty good about toying with angry or self-serious people, but the ganging up's got me down. First time this has happened. :' (
punctuation helps us understandFeed more, noobs.
Also any tips for meepo? I saw a player playing him across the map and it looked fun to multi task like that. Whats the thought on spreading your guys across multiple jungle farms/just grouping up?
I see new people max out his passive first. That's a big no-no. Also, go for Aghanim Scepter as fast as you can. I usually get it right after blink dagger.
I'd recommend blink dagger after you get a few games under your belt. Requires a bit of extra microing. Add in a heart as your last item and your a killing machine.
#fucknvidia
I'm rollin' with a 7950 and it's been pretty godly as far as games go. Way overkill for Dota though. Intel is definitely the way to go for CPUs, no question about it.

That's not true. If you know what you're doing it's a perfectly viable choice.
Advise please
I might need to get a new PC...
What spec's would run Dota 2 effortlessly on high/everything on or there abouts?
At the minute I get weird stuttering in certain menu's...like hero selection, when being placed in the map initially there is a delay of 1/2 seconds. During play I sometimes get weird stuttering/lag/animation skipping.
Should I go AMD/Radeon combo? Intel/InVidia? I haven't kept up with PC stuff in like 3 years now so I don't know who has the stronger tech. I've gone AMD/Radeon for the last 7-8 years due to cheapness but people always seem to tout Intel and nVidia products and I'm not strapped for cash so I might finally make the jump to their products.
Why does muting not disable pinging? Riot fix
Jakiro is a great supporting role I've found. You can save people in a stick and pretty much take on an entire team to delay an advance on a tower. Been him a few times; and generally keep the team going in situations I think we'd otherwise be 'overwhelmed' by.
6.75
Agility growth increased from 2.8 to 4.2.
Spirit Lance slow duration increased from 3 to 3.25 seconds.

6.72c
Base HP regeneration increased to 0.75.
Juxtapose rebalanced to have a 12% creation chance at all levels with a max of 2/3/4/5 illusions.
I came from HoN but have played over 800 games in Dota 2 now, love it and would never go back. But there is one hero I'm missing; Pyromancer, yeah lina is pretty much the same hero, but she feels completely different. Pyromancer had snappy lasthitting and his stun was easier to land. He was more versatile in that he was a viable semi-carry.
Lina is viable to an extent but her horrible horrible (worst in game?) last hitting makes her a poor laner that depends on her nukes to secure last hits against capable players, so her only lane choice is pretty much the mid lane if you want to play a carry-lina. However I do understand why she is the way she is and agree that pyro is a bit too strong in HoN, but I wouldn't mind if they sped up her attack animation just a little bit; it's almost too bad.
just some random ramblings after playing some solo mid lina yesterday. It went well, but was frustrating at times.
Carry Lina is not a great idea, but yeah you can carry with anyone mid and farmed.
Lina is an example of why hon > dota

Play Crystal Maiden. Shes awesome, but if you think Lina has a slow attack animation...
Just played a game where my buddy carried as Treant. He got a rampage while we were taking their mid rax. Was funny as hell
What a fukken fraud this guy is, this line of thinking is the reason why practically everyone is dog shit at slardar. One hero with interestingly low scores once again is Slardar at 59. Valve lists him as a carry and I’m increasingly of the opinion that this is an egregious mislabeling. He appears to only have a mild farm dependency, and really has more in common with Centaur Warrunner in role and Bounty Hunter via similar ults. Slardar should be seen more as an initiator and damage amp than an actual carry.

Carry slardars get the wrong items, and people don't judge correctly whether to get initation or carry items on him depending on the situation.
Also, it seems that people have a hard time farming without bfury/mael/etc, you can't be lazy if you're playing carry slardar.
You want pub dota players to think and adapt?
Suggested item build or bust.
I think you should get an extra 50 gold at startup if you disable that, BH battlefury be damned.
Lina is an example of why hon > dota
My criticism is more based on what he infers, even though it's based on the very high bracket. If you both use the statistics you have in a bad way, and don't have great knowledge of the subject, you're gonna draw some bad conclusions.
There's an obvious bias in the result of slardar's farm dependency, if you get the wrong items with farm on a hero, the difference between farming a lot and less is gonna be far smaller than it should be given the optimal item build.
An example of a good estimate of the farm dependency of a hero would be anti-mage, pretty much every single player in the very high bracket knows what to get in a given situation.
Why is Slardar carry potential? I've managed to semi-carry with him before and it seems like his high health combined with the ability of Slam to chain into a stunlock with his bash, does that sound about right?
Look at this shit

Bottom line is that Slardar is versatile, just have to build him for the lineup you're running with. "Oh he's x and not" "Oh he's y and not x" is just goofy.
