I always thought SSJ4 was one of the better things about GT. I think it'd be cool if they brought up variation of that into Super for Gohan, assuming he does get a power-up.

Another thing that bugs me about Heroes is that the Super Saiyan 3 state is just handed to everyone like candy.
I will now list people who are Super Saiyan 3's now in Heroes:
~Vegeta (Given he was in BT3)
~Majin Vegeta
~GT Vegeta
~Broly (Given he was in BT3)
~Future Trunks
~Time Patrol Trunks
~GT Trunks
~Teen Gohan
~Adult Gohan
~Future Gohan (With his left arm back mind you!)

~Gogeta (Theorized that he could already do this canon wise)

Its just ridiculous man, all we need is Pan and Goten along with Kid Trunks/Goten and we'll have a full set, but wtf why not lets add saiyan saga Gohan too!

AF is better than Super so far tbh. The fanfiction insult doesn't really work with anything DBZ. Everything feels like fanfiction.

Depends on your view really, Super is still working within DBZ bounds of logic, so the matter of it feels like fanfiction because theirs no manga material to work off of is a matter of opinion.
Heroes is just 'wtf why not' levels of not caring. Teen Gohan is a super saiyan 3 now, that is total fanfiction heights of stupid.
You're still taking it completely out of context. Watch the entire sequence or look up a summary from that part of the game.
Or the robot from Chrono Trigger.

Seriously were not even to the new content yet, I'm not gonna judge on wither its good or not this series until its finished, did the same thing with GT.

I can understand the animation complaints as Toei should be treating this series better, this was 1 of the series's that helped Toei become a name we all recognize internationally, to treat it with this kind of One Piece janky animation is wrong.
But on the issue of wither its good as a series? we have had 2 retreads of movies so far, were finally going to see what Super is made of with a new original arc if you are going to judge it mid-way this is the part where you should be judging wither its good or otherwise not anything before.

I'm not that jaded about Super like a lot of people in here are, I think it's fine so far.
But you're clearly taking my statement out of its context. I'm not judging Super as a whole. That's why I said so far.
And I was kind of disregarding Super's animation because at least I can replace it in my mind with the movies. I'm mainly going off the stories of BoG and RoF, which both felt really fanfictiony, and then there was a point where I just accepted "you know, this series is like really fun fanfiction" and just rolled with it.

I don't know, after years on the internet I can assure you most fanfiction would not have come up with Beerus/Whis/a shift towards focusing on the characters.

Come on. You can't tell me that you could go back in time 10 years and tell people about an idea you have for the series involving the "God of Destruction" coming down to earth to fight Goku who ends up going "Super Saiyan God" (which gives him red hair) and then afterwards Frieza gets revived and trains to become as strong as Goku in 4 months and Goku gets a new form to fight him that makes his hair blue without people dismissing that as stupid fanficiton and making comments like "this is why you're not a writer" etc.

I'm not saying they're bad in any way. Beerus and Whiz are good, but so many things about super seems so "fanfictiony" that, well, like I said, I just accepted it and went with it since it was fun fanfiction.

To be fair Vegeta attacked Cell during that time and Toriyama made them do a beam clash because Super Perfect Cell would have won without it.
That's a disservice to fanfiction.

I would say Super's been fun until these last few episodes. Luckily we have F in movie form, so I honestly stopped giving a fuck about the F arc and I just hope we get good stuff after.
I get what you're saying, all the stuff going on now would have sounded like complete bullshit just a few years ago.
I've enjoyed the original episodes and honestly that gives me hope once we get past the end of the RoF stuff here. Two more weeks to go until freedom!

Universe 6 not having to be adapted from a movie will definitely be a great thing.
Yeah. I've stopped watching Super at this point until we hit new material, but the slice of life episodes have easily been my favorite so far. The movies just did the material much better which is a shame since RoF could have benefited from having more time.
People are being too harsh on Super in terms of labelling it worse than GT/fanfiction. It is retelling the movies at the moment with bad animation and arguably a worse story (that's just my opinion). The stuff that has been new has been really intriguing. Goku and Vegeta's initial training on Beerus' planet for example. We just need to be patient as this new arc has so much potential. It could easily blow the likes of GT out of the water if done correctly.

In the Anime version for sure.
I think its more up for speculation in the source material though. In both versions Cell is clearly overwhelming Gohan but in the Manga Goku makes the comment that Gohan hasn't released all his power because he's worried about what could happen to the planet. He does this in the anime too, but in that version we quickly see that it amounts to nothing and Cell still overwhelms Gohan after he takes his Fathers advice. In the manga we don't see that, Vegeta's energy wave comes immediately after Goku's advice and then Gohan kills him.
It's kinda like with Mystic Gohan. In the manga he came off as MUCH stronger.
The question is, which 'AF" are we talking about. Because I know of at least two. And keep in mind, every fan-fiction from the late 90's and beyond got their wish with "God Super Saiyan". And that's official.

This is more of a nitpick. But I hope the next big baddy fight it goes all the way. It's in a situation where Senzu beans aren't an option, there's no minion surprise attack/rewind time shenanigans, no mercy from Beerus esque characters - both sides keep going until one is dead or can't get up. It was cool before that regardless if they won or lost, it looked like they went through hell.
For example, I loved by the end of the Goku/Piccolo fight, it looked like Goku went through hell and he did. Pushed his body to its limit.

Pretty much a situation where the stakes feel real. Where there could be great loss had if one side loses.

I just finished reading the Boo Saga manga and honestly...
I can't accept the fact that Goku/Vegeta became Gods and traveled to different realities all in between the final Boo fight and the Oob fight..is it likely that everything at the very end of the Z manga will be retconned at this point?

I try to avoid using the term canon at that part of the timeline. You can go in whichever direction you want. Like Zelda after Ocarina.
