At this point I wonder why they don't bother ripping the scenes from the movies themselves and using them for the show.
For the same reason they made the retelling...
Not letting FOX have any % off their product. The movies were co produced with FOX.
While Super is 100% toei.
Also fuck off with that in between that can't be seen with the naked eye. The episode had dozens of horrible keyframes, have fun with that, but in betweens...

Wow, People not knowing about Dragon Ball Heroes is strange.
Here is a quick primer.
Dragon Ball Heroes is a card game in Japan made by Dimps who developed many Dragon Ball games and are regarded by most as the most competent devs the series has had, among the biggest games they have made are the original Budokai series, Burst Limit and Xenoverse.
The basis of the game is essentially you buy random packs of cards which give you characters to use in game. The gameplay involves placing cards in various places on a simulation battle field on the arcade machine and the screen in front shows gameplay representing your actions. Each round each team attacks and it's up to the player to ensure they have their best characters ready to deliver crucial blows or that they can take the opponents hit. I believe some form of leveling and character building is possible but the details are hard to nail down without speaking Japanese.
All of these strange looking no name characters are player chosen avatars, As far as I know you can choose from, Saiyan, Namekian, Majin, Kai, Android and Freiza race wit the main promo one being the Saiyan male called Beat. Each race has 3 classes and 2 genders
The game is kept fresh by new saga's delivered in the form of new game missions for players to beat and new cards to buy.
The draw for the rest of the world is what these new saga's entail.
Each saga or sometimes even minor content updates are given short (3-4 mins) animated intros which act as sort of trailers. Additionally each saga often introduces new what if style characters.
A full list of these characters will be linked below but here are a few of the cards containing them.
Super Saiyan 4 Gohan
(Attained when Towa (daughter of Dabura) used here time magic to fuse Super 17 with android 18)
Super Saiyan 3 "Xeno" Bardock
(Towa for a time controlled Bardock after saving him from freiza, later he became free and had become a Super Saiyan 3)
Baby Janemba
(literally no explanation, they just needed a cool boss)
Broly (SSJ3, Ozaru, SSJ4)
(Don't think any of these have a real explanation but I could be wrong)
As you can see DBH just does whatever the fuck it wants. Since it's all considered none canon anyway it's kind of cool to see "official" representations of characters that otherwise would just be left to fan fiction (which DBH pretty much is, just it's licensed)

That Frieza trailer was awesome with King Kold, mechs and all those Metal Coolers. Also had the giant Metal Cooler.
No thanks. Broly is a boring character, we don't need someone whose shtick can practically be reduced to "I'm angry and hate Goku". Other villains have the same goal but with x100 more personality.
I don't mind him. And he's a cool design.

Broly is a conceptually amazing character who gives credence to the Super Saiyan legend. The only problem is how his beef with Goku is written (it's lazy writing to say that he made him cry as a baby. We get it - Broly is a primal, animalistic force liable to be upset by small contrivances, but even with this in mind, it still seems unnaturally petty).
I like Broly because he is very simple, and quite different from the other villains in the series. Broly is completely insane. His motivation for hating Goku is so bizarre and irrational, that I actually like it. I really love the Legendary Super Saiyan concept, it's just a very threatening transformation with the ki is constantly increasing. With every second that passes, this dude just gets stronger and stronger. I like the design of Broly in said form, because he straight up looks like a monster. His proportions are just completely and utterly fucked. I like Broly's brutal approach to combat. He really goes to town, grabbing motherfuckers by the head and shit. I dig Broly man. I dig Broly.
I like the idea of Gohan surpassing Super Saiyans with his base form, personally. I doubt they'll stick with that though.

I'll say that in DBZ where everyone fights pretty much the same that Broly would've been a breath of fresh air because he has an actual unique fighting style.

I do too, but the reason I like SS4 is that it's such a different type of transformation from 2/3/God/SSG. It's not simply an increase in raw power, but something much closer to unlocking the primal Saiyan potential, like a perfected Great Ape form. If Gohan were the only one with this form, it would fall in line with his character getting a different sort of powerup from the other Saiyans in the series.
I just kind of really want SS4 Gohan to show up in Super, or at least ride its coattails and get a unique new form that's different from Goku or Vegeta.

Dude, honestly. I know GT isn't very popular, but I would kill for a GT movie where Gohan gets SSJ4. Goku's gone by the end and it's up to Vegeta and Gohan to protect the Earth from something.

The spoiler rules were there to stop anime watchers from getting manga spoilers, I believe.
Official marketing for the anime isn't part of the manga.
Broly is one of the worst characters ever conceived. His motives are just so petty and boring that I can't take him seriously. And I absolutely hate villains who just play on the mindless brute angle.
The best part is, I used to really like the Broly movie when I was a child but I rewatched it recently and it just doesn't hold up at all.

I agree. I'm surprised people find so much depth to a character that says all of about five words and yells the rest of the time. His proportions are the most ridiculous thing, though. I don't care for beanpole characters, but Broly design looks like something my 8 year old nephew would draw.

His bulky design is the antithesis of what Toriyama would say is the perfect super saiyan form. That's one of the main reasons I dislike him. I don't care if it's because he's the LSSJ. It is poor writing.
Also, his motives compared to the 3 main villains in DBZ is so pathetic. You respect Frieza for wanting to build an empire, Cell for wanting to be the perfect warrior and Buu for wanting to cause chaos but you just can't respect Broly wanting to kill Goku because his crying upset him when they were babies lol.

Truth. Best part of that entire saga was Imperfect Cell stalking the shit out of everyone and absorbing people, while everyone else aside from Piccolo was on the defensive. Great tone shift.

What I fear of the Super manga is that it will make the Super anime even MORE irrelevant. How long will it end up staying ahead of the anime? It's not as fun getting monthly U6 spoilers as to experiencing it weekly.
