Wow, wonder what he's complaining about specifically. If its animation quality, then he should have known that was coming a mile away with Toei with what they do to one piece. This show might have needed much more time in the oven than it got to get consistent quality across the board.

I dunno, I thought Toei only had rights on the anime products, whereas this is a book published by manga publisher Shueisha.
I'm probably way oversimplifying this.

It's amazing really.... how several creators who were once apathetic to what made them famous have slowly turned around... this happened with Harrison Ford and Star Wars and now has happened to Akira Toriyama and Dragon Ball.

I liked Saiyaman Gohan too, gave him some personality.
Just saying that if AT initially wanted Gohan to take over, he should of made him more like Future Gohan after the Cell Games. Not surprised that people didn't like it.

Him saying that in November or early December would also line up really well with my theory that they may have started doing F arc episodes fast, sacrificing them so they could get get ahead of their current schedule to allow the coming episodes more weeks of production.
Episodes 21 and 22 where okay, not terrible but they had nothing really special, but starting with 23 it really feels like each successive episode was made in a smaller and smaller window of time until episode 27 which was a rather large jump in quality.

Like I said in the other thread about the new game, can't wait to fuse Gohan and Yamcha to make the ultimate jobber.
I hope they end up in some universe when the final boss is ssj4 Goku fused with Shenron like it happened in the end of GT, that'd be great.
As for Super now it should start and im kinda exited, so far it has been bad, and watching it after the OPM episodes makes it look even worse

End of Z look is fine too.
And props to him for calling Toei out though like you said episode 27 was fantastic and a lot of the non Goku vs. Freeza stuff was decent but not great as well. You could definitely tell they wanted to get on with it while still introducing several new key plot elements.

Last episode was great, here they actually make you give a crap about the destruction of the earth instead of just destroying without showing what the other characters did.
Also, I liked that Gohan decided to return to training and the trunks joke telling what he will do next time that someone shows up.
I guess that the next episode will be the real beginning of the series
