Dragon Ball Super |OT| 28 Episodes Later

I'm bothered by this too, for some reason everyone except for Goku and Vegeta is back go Cell saga power levels while we had a whole 3 extra saga's worth of powerups. Okay Gohan got gimped but there's no way he should be below his cell saga power levels. Nor should Piccolo get beat by someone at cell-power levels.

It's like majin/buu/fusion saga almost never happened when it comes to the sidecast.

It feels like AT or whoever is in charge just forgot about how much stronger they've gotten since the Ginyu force and/or just want us to look the other way because they wanted Frieza and his crew to be relevant.

I can accept Frieza getting this strong since he seems to be #1 in terms of potential in the entire series. However, his random, dispensable henchmen? Just no. Even just the Android/Cell saga they got so much more powerful, hundreds if not thousands of times far superseding the Ginyu Force.

Toriyama did this to himself when he came up with scouters..........

Freeza basically had two powerful henchmen and they were far from the norm so its not THAT crazy.

I guess... I just think the sheer amount of training that certain Z-Warriors did widened the gap too much to be closed within 4 months by GinyuF level fighters. Even in times of peace.

For example, Piccolo by the end of the Frieza saga already left the Ginyu force in the dust. He was going toe to toe with Frieza's second form. That's before the three years of non-stop training pre-Androids, before his Kami power-up which had him going toe to toe with Android 17. Not to mention his time spent in the Hyperbolic Time chamber.

Tamago trained with Freeza so I don't see it as all that crazy given how this series usually works. The heroes have done that sort of thing time and time again.

Sure, but its important to note that even Frieza himself started off as a peon compared to Piccolo post-revival. In fact he even said he was rusty. I can't see how Tagoma would benefit that much from a rusty Frieza training him when his main focus was training himself anyway. It's not like a Gohan situation where Goku's focus was training Gohan. Togama would get stronger for sure but above Imperfect Cell level?

...Unless he too has abnormally high potential? That's the only reasonable explanation imo. I do think that's somewhat of a cop out though but it works.

Edit: Golden Cell would be glorious. Best villain when he's winning, funniest when he's losing

You guys think too much about power levels.

Frieza did some training and hit God levels. Someone who was along for the ride was able to hit Cell level in power, but it's all relative. Tamago's power was still minuscule compared to Frieza's at the end. Doesn't seem too crazy to me, given the series we're talking about :p

Series needs more Tien. He still holds the crown for best comeback line in the franchise, all the way from DB.

Is a response to this

In Japanese Yamcha said "There's still time. If you don't want to die, give up!" Tien responded with the same line.

Tien is bad ass because he not only has a lot of techniques, but his hits sound really damaging.

so i stopped after a few episodes. Is it worth picking it up again? did the artstyle get better? I´m a DB fan for 20 years now but the first few episodes bored me.

We need to get this thread finished up so we can have a new OT along side the new arc.
"Dragon Ball Super |OT2| 28 episodes later the show is actually starting." Or something to that effect =P.
Hopefully we'll have character art and the names for the Universe 6 fighters released by then (We'll likely get those in this month's V-Jump and then we just have to hope they release them online officially).

yo yo yo i got them leaks

my uncle is toriyamas butler

Wait a couple more weeks for the new content to start.

if i start to watch it again i would continue from the last episode i stopped. Dont wanna miss anything. I think the Vegeta with family on vacation was my last. That was the last straw XD the end of that episode was good i think but still. Goku as a farmer in the very first episode hit me hard... following trunks and goten on their little adventures was strange. You would think they start their new show of with a bang and not as slow as they did over many episodes.

how is the ratio Good/bad episodes right now?

because overall i would love to watch dragonball super. This whole gods from different galaxies storyline is cool and i liked the premise in the movie. Alot of potential in this storyline.

do we know how many episodes are planned for DB Super?

Have you seen the two movies? That's all that's happened since then. You already watched most of the new content. Only other thing is some in-bewteen BOG and ROF. It's ok but skippable.

Worth watching for the Battle of Gods arc (the episodes leading up to the Goku/Beerus fight are mediocre or bad, but the fight itself is great) and the bridge episodes between BoG and the RF arcs. It's not finished yet, but I'd say you're better off just watching the RF movie over its Super retelling, which has had some interesting plot deviations from the movie but is mostly just kind of ugly.

The episodes between BoG and RF are my favorite ones yet. They're legit hilarious.

Episode 10 through to the end of the filler eps is the high point of the series so far.

Honestly, if I had to recommend any pre-episode 28 episodes....

1-4, 6, 11, 13-17, 21-22, and mayyybe 25.

Let's see if the last few episodes of the Revival of F arc are anything special.

I don't like robots being as strong as gods. That 4th fighter from the other universe should not be a robot.

Meh, we already got organic beings stronger than gods like King Kai and Kaioshin. I don't know anything about this bot, like who made him or how advanced the tech involved was. Honestly feel like Dr. Gero opened the floodgates for this shit, because his creations were insanely powerful IMO. And that was with just earth tech. I can't judge this new robot yet.

I used to hate The Androids being stronger than Freeza, but the idea of pure science outclassing the most powerful known creature in the universe is actually pretty amazing. Imagine if Cell was built with data from Namek? Z Fighters would be dead right now.

Cell became ssj2 power level after he came back to life, right?
